Abstract
A textile substrate means (1) for growing seaweeds, kelps, or tunicates. The textile substrate means (1) comprises threads of a biodegradable material, and the biodegradable material is of pulp origin. the textile substrate means (1) comprises a band shaped substrate means (10); the band shaped substrate means (10) comprises a woven substrate means (11) where a warp yarn (20) and a weft yarn (30) comprise the biodegradable material, and the woven substrate means (11) is woven with either three, four, five, six or seven weft yarns (30) per cm. The biodegradable material may be viscose or Lyocell. A method for growing seaweeds, kelps, or tunicates, is described. A method for harvesting the seaweeds, kelps, or tunicates and processing the seaweeds, kelps, or tunicates together with the textile substrate means (1), is described.
