Abstract
The invention relates to the field of manufacturing security devices for counterfeiting and authenticating valuable documents, including excise stamps and control marks, and in particular to a method for manufacturing optical security devices bearing a combination of various security features, namely holographic devices based on relief-phase holograms possessing visual features, and polarization-based devices possessing visualized features, intended for both rapid, operational verification of the authenticity of the protected object and detailed instrumental verification of authenticity. The proposed method for manufacturing optical polarization security devices based on structured polymerized liquid crystals solves the problem of creating a defect-free, oriented, anisotropic polymer layer, enabling the use of advanced "roll-to-roll" technology.The technical result consists in eliminating unpolymerized local zones in the oriented anisotropic polymer layer, for this purpose crystal formation in the mesophase of liquid crystals is minimized; control of the purity of acrylate monomers intended for the production of the anisotropic polymer composition is ensured; inhibition of the radical polymerization of liquid crystals by oxygen is minimized; and a step-by-step effect of UV radiation on the oriented anisotropic layer is ensured.
