Abstract

The present invention relates to providing an absorbent material capable of preventing the separation of the antimicrobial agent prior to use and exhibiting an antimicrobial effect during the use of the absorbent material. An absorbent material has an anteroposterior direction and a transverse direction that are perpendicular to each other. The absorbent material (1) includes an anteroposterior (L) direction and a transverse (T) direction that are perpendicular to each other: an absorbent body (20); a top sheet of a main body (31) that is arranged on the skin side relative to the absorbent body and that is in contact with the wearer's skin; a molding part (41) that extends outwards in a transverse direction relative to the absorbent body; and a flip-up fixing part (62) that is arranged on a non-skin-facing surface of the flip-up part that is fixed with a wear material. The flip-top is folded inwards in a transverse direction to cover the skin side of the upper foil of the main body before the absorbent is applied. In the case of a folded flip-top, where the flip-top is folded, a flip-top release foil (75) is provided, covering the flip-top fixation area. The antimicrobial agent is positioned on the side not facing the skin surface of the upper foil of the main body and on the skin side not facing the skin surface of the absorbent body. The flip-top release foil covers the antimicrobial agent.
