Method for closing a pool with a cover

Abstract

A method for manipulation with a thermo-insulating spa or swim spa cover between its closed position, open position and parking position, whereby the thermo-insulating cover comprises a carrier segment, coupled to an actuator, and a carried thermo-insulating segment, which is rotatably connected to the carrier segment, whereby during opening or closing the carrier segment rotates, carrying the carried segment, and in the open position both thermo-insulating segments are in a vertical position, facing each other with their bearing surfaces, whereby the carrier segment during opening and closing rotates about an axis situated outside the ground plan of the spa or swim spa. Before the beginning of the rotation of the carrier segment for opening, the axis of rotation of the carrier segment is raised above the level of its resting position to its upper position, thereby raising the rear face of the carrier segment and creating a gap between the bearing surface and the edge of the spa vessel, whereupon the rotation of the carrier segment to the vertical position is initiated.
