Abstract
Description
[0001] One aspect of the invention relates to a household appliance for washing laundry. The household appliance comprises a housing. The household appliance further comprises a tub arranged in the housing. The tub has a rear wall in which a central opening is formed. The household appliance further comprises a bearing system in which a shaft of the household appliance is mounted. The bearing system is arranged in the opening.
[0002] Such a design of a household appliance for laundry care is known, for example, from GB 2 157 326 A. It provides for an insert to be cast into a rear wall. The separate insert is therefore permanently connected to the rear wall. This makes handling the storage unit disadvantageous.
[0003] GB 2086946 A discloses a washing machine with a tub having a bearing system for supporting a drum shaft, the bearing system being removably attached to a wall of the tub.
[0004] Further washing machines with a tub comprising a bearing system for supporting a drum shaft are known from DE 197 58 798 B4 and US 2004 148981 A1.
[0005] It is an object of the present invention to provide a household appliance for the care of laundry items in which the arrangement of a storage system on a rear wall of a tub is improved.
[0006] This object is achieved by a household appliance for the care of laundry items according to claim 1.
[0007] One aspect of the invention relates to a household appliance for laundry items. The household appliance comprises a housing. The household appliance further comprises a tub arranged in the housing. The tub has a rear wall in which a central opening is formed. The household appliance further comprises a bearing system or a bearing module in which a shaft of the household appliance is mounted. The bearing system is arranged in the opening.
[0008] The storage system is attached to the rear wall with a non-destructively removable connection. This design also makes it possible to create a modular structure between the rear wall of the tub and the storage system. This allows the storage system to be mounted and dismounted independently of the rear wall. In particular, this also enables reversible removal and attachment of this storage system to the rear wall. This enables simpler assembly scenarios. In principle, it is therefore also advantageous to easily disassemble such a storage system, for example, to service or replace a ball bearing in the storage system.
[0009] According to the invention, the storage system is arranged on the rear wall with a threaded connection, which is an exemplary embodiment of a detachable connection. This is a particularly simple detachable connection. On the one hand, such a threaded connection enables easy assembly and disassembly of the storage system. On the other hand, such a specific detachable connection is also mechanically stable and robust. This means that the storage system can also be held securely in position on the rear wall. In particular, such a threaded connection also enables very minimal assembly and disassembly effort. The repeated removal of individual components that define the detachable connection is then no longer necessary. A simple rotary movement, as required by a threaded connection, then enables a quick, easy, and ergonomic assembly principle. In a threaded connection, in contrast to a screw connection, in which a screw separate from the bearing module is screwed into a screw channel, the bearing module itself, in particular as a whole, is rotated in order to reach the screwed-in position in the opening.
[0010] In one embodiment, the threaded connection has an external thread. This external thread is integrally formed on the outer side of the casing wall of the bearing system. The threaded connection also has an internal thread. This internal thread is formed on a boundary wall that delimits the opening. This also significantly supports the aforementioned advantages. In particular, it enables very smooth and jam-free installation of the bearing system in the opening. It is precisely these locally specific positions of the external and internal threads that allow them to be positioned in a mechanically stable manner. The forces generated during screwing in can therefore also be absorbed particularly advantageously.
[0011] In one embodiment, the external thread is interrupted in the circumferential direction around the axis of rotation. In particular, a plurality of external thread sections spaced apart from one another are formed in this circumferential direction. The external thread can thus be minimized. The complexity of the external thread is thereby reduced. Nevertheless, a stable hold between the external thread and the internal thread is fully maintained. The clamping-free and expansion-free attachment is further improved by this design. In addition to or instead of this, in one embodiment it can be provided that the internal thread is interrupted in the circumferential direction. In particular, a plurality of internal thread sections can be formed in this circumferential direction. In this regard, the corresponding advantages apply as they are also stated for the embodiment with a plurality of external thread sections.Such a circumferential segmentation of the internal thread and / or the external thread also enables simple production of the respective components. The respective thread sections thus form segments or individual blocks.
[0012] Such an interrupted thread is also particularly advantageous in that the bearing module or bearing system can be inserted axially and thus purely linearly into the opening in a first assembly step. The internal thread sections and the external thread sections can then be arranged axially overlapping. Once this intermediate assembly position is reached, a rotational movement around the thread axis can be used to couple one or more internal thread sections to the external thread sections. This creates a bayonet-like, detachable connection.
[0013] According to the invention, the bearing system is screwed into the opening with the threaded connection. This also allows the axial position of the bearing system in the opening and thus relative to the rear wall to be adjusted very precisely. In particular, continuous axial position adjustment is also possible here. In one embodiment, the household appliance has an axial and / or azimuthal position fixing device. With this axial and / or azimuthal position fixing device, an axial position of the bearing system and / or an azimuthal position of the bearing system can be fixed in the opening as intended. This means that the axial position and / or azimuthal position generated during coupling is also fixed in position. This prevents undesired positional adjustment of this separate bearing system. Once adjusted during assembly, the axial position and / or azimuthal position is then permanently retained in one embodiment. In particular, the axial and / or azimuthal position fixing device is provided with an anti-rotation lock. This means that with such a threaded connection design, the bearing system can no longer be rotated counterclockwise in its final position, or can only be rotated counterclockwise by a maximum of a specified tolerance value. This prevents unwanted adjustment of the set position of the bearing system.
[0014] It can be provided that an axial position and / or an azimuthal position is additionally maintained, in particular fixed, by a screw connection separate from the threaded connection. This can be achieved, for example, by screwing a screw into a screw channel.
[0015] In one embodiment, the axial and / or azimuthal position fixing device comprises radial projections. These are arranged on the bearing system at a distance from one another in the circumferential direction and thus in the direction of rotation of the threaded connection, in particular equidistant from one another. In one embodiment, the axial and / or azimuthal position fixing device comprises a plurality of positioning ribs. These are arranged on the rear wall at a distance from one another in the said circumferential direction, in particular equidistant from one another. When the bearing system or the bearing module is screwed into the opening, the coupling steps are discretely formed by the coupling of a radial projection to a positioning rib, by which the axial and / or azimuthal position fixings of the bearing system are adjusted. In particular, such discrete coupling steps are thus provided in one embodiment. This allows for anti-rotation security to be achieved at least within the framework of several coupling stages arranged consecutively in the direction of rotation. In particular, this allows a maximum of such independent rotation by an azimuthal angle formed between two adjacent coupling stages in this direction of rotation. It is also possible for such an azimuthal position of the bearing system to be set such that just such a coupling stage is reached and maintained. This, in particular, prevents reverse rotation counter to the direction of screwing in. This coupling stage then forms a reverse rotation lock. In addition, this axial position and / or the azimuthal position can be secured by a screw connection.
[0016] In one embodiment, a full rotation, and thus a rotation of 360°, achieves an axial position change of the bearing system of between 4 mm and 6 mm, in particular by 5 mm. This enables a very finely adjusted positional adjustment of the bearing system or a correspondingly very finely adjusted position adjustment of the bearing system relative to the rear wall.
[0017] In one embodiment, more than three discrete coupling stages, in particular more than five discrete coupling stages of the axial and / or azimuthal position fixing device are provided. In particular, eight discrete coupling stages can be provided in one embodiment. In one embodiment, an axial position change of the bearing system relative to the rear wall of between 0.6 mm and 0.7 mm, in particular between 0.62 mm and 0.63 mm, is set for each coupling stage. This essentially enables a bearing indexing in the direction of rotation with these eight discrete coupling stages. An axial position change between the advantageous values mentioned above can thus be set between each two coupling stages that follow one another in the direction of rotation. This also enables a corresponding very finely adjusted position change. In particular, this change can then also be fixed very precisely. In particular, this also creates a bayonet-like detachable connection.
[0018] In one embodiment, the respectively set axial and / or azimuthal position can be released. This set position can also be released again, particularly if a corresponding disassembly of the bearing system is desired. For example, a positioning rib and / or a radial projection can be designed to be elastically resilient. This allows the coupled state between a radial projection and a positioning rib to be decoupled again.
[0019] In one embodiment, the bearing system or the bearing module has a bearing housing. In this embodiment, this bearing housing is made particularly of metal. In one embodiment, the bearing system further comprises a bearing block. In one embodiment, this bearing block is made particularly of plastic. The bearing block is arranged on the outside of the bearing housing in the radial direction. In particular, the bearing block surrounds the bearing housing on the circumference. In particular, it completely surrounds the bearing housing on the circumference. The bearing block thus forms an external shell for the bearing housing. This embodiment is also particularly advantageous. This is because, on the one hand, it allows a respective material individuality of these two components of the bearing system to be achieved. Furthermore, it is precisely the bearing block that makes it possible to provide a component of the detachable connection in a particularly advantageous manner. In particular, this enables particularly simple integration and thus a one-piece design of this connecting element of the detachable connection in this bearing block. In this context, an external thread of a threaded connection can thus be integrated particularly advantageously into this bearing block. Particularly if the bearing block is made of plastic, this external thread can be manufactured very precisely and quickly. For example, this can be done using an injection molding process. This also avoids the need to create such a precise design of an external thread on the metal bearing housing. In particular, the metal bearing housing can thus also be manufactured more easily and quickly.Furthermore, the plastic bearing block allows for smoother and quieter assembly, especially when screwing into the internal thread of the opening. Last but not least, this design of the bearing block also enables a reduction in the weight of the bearing system.
[0020] In one embodiment, the bearing block cannot be removed from the bearing housing without causing damage. This means that a permanent connection is created that cannot be reversibly separated and reformed. For example, the bearing block can be molded onto the bearing housing. This can be achieved using an appropriate injection molding process.
[0021] In such an embodiment, the storage system can then be provided as a two-component system.
[0022] It is particularly advantageous if the plastic from which the bearing block is formed comprises glass-fiber-reinforced polypropylene. In particular, a bearing block is made entirely of glass-fiber-reinforced polypropylene. This is a plastic that is particularly suitable for the requirements envisaged here, in particular with regard to mechanical stability and resilience during assembly as such, as well as when exposed to forces occurring during operation of the household appliance, such as vibrations and the like. In addition, this plastic also has high fracture stability. It is also particularly resistant to deformation. In one embodiment, the metal from which the bearing housing is preferably formed is aluminum. A design made of cast iron is also possible. This also enables a high level of stability of the bearing housing.
[0023] In one embodiment, the bearing housing and the bearing block are each designed as hollow cylinders. In this respect, the hollow-cylindrical bearing housing is housed internally within the hollow-cylindrical bearing block. This essentially provides a bearing system or bearing module by means of which a shaft, for whose support the bearing system is intended, can be accommodated particularly securely.
[0024] In one embodiment, the suds container is constructed in multiple parts. In one embodiment, it has a front container segment in the axial direction of the suds container and a separate rear container segment in the axial direction. In one embodiment, the rear container segment is made of plastic. In particular, the rear wall is integrated into this rear container segment. In one embodiment, the rear container segment thus has a hollow cylindrical region and a region adjoining the hollow cylindrical region at the rear, which region forms the rear wall. The resulting one-piece plastic design enables a reduction in the number of components and a reduction in weight. Furthermore, such a design also enables the provision of an internal thread at the plastic opening. This makes it possible to provide a threaded connection in which both the external thread and the internal thread are made of plastic.
[0025] In this regard, one embodiment may provide for the two plastics to be different. For example, the plastic from which the rear container segment, in particular the rear wall and the internal thread, is made may comprise, in particular, a talc-reinforced polypropylene.
[0026] Household appliances for laundry care, such as washing machines or washer-dryers, feature a laundry drum. This drum typically has a hollow cylindrical shell.
[0027] In addition, a laundry drum typically also has a rear base plate. This closes off the rear of the hollow cylindrical shell. The front of the laundry drum typically has a so-called end plate. The end plate and the base plate are usually separate parts from the shell that are connected to the shell. In this context, it is common practice to create fold joints between these components.
[0028] A further independent aspect of the invention relates to a household appliance for the care of laundry items, comprising a housing and a tub which is arranged in the housing, wherein the tub has a rear wall in which a central opening is arranged, and with a bearing system with which a shaft of the household appliance is mounted, is arranged in the opening, characterized in that the bearing system has a bearing housing made of metal and a bearing block made of plastic which is arranged on the outside of the bearing housing and surrounds the bearing housing on the circumference.
[0029] Embodiments of the first independent aspect relating to the household appliance are to be regarded as advantageous embodiments of the further independent aspect.
[0030] A further independent aspect of the invention relates to a tub for a household appliance for washing laundry. The tub has a rear wall with a central opening and further comprises a bearing system or a bearing module in which a shaft of the household appliance is mounted. The bearing system is arranged in the opening. The bearing system is attached to the rear wall with a non-destructively removable connection.
[0031] Advantageous embodiments with regard to the attachment of the storage system to the rear wall and / or the design of the rear wall and / or the opening and / or the storage system have already been mentioned above with regard to the household appliance and apply accordingly to the suds container alone.
[0032] The terms "top", "bottom", "front", "back", "horizontal", "vertical", "depth direction", "width direction", "height direction" indicate the positions and orientations given during proper use and positioning of the device.
[0033] Further features of the invention emerge from the claims, the figures and the description of the figures. Embodiments and combinations of features are also to be regarded as disclosed that therefore do not have all the features of an originally formulated independent claim.
[0034] Embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to schematic drawings. They show: Fig. 1 is a schematic vertical sectional view through an embodiment of a household appliance according to the invention for the care of laundry items; Fig. 2 is a partially sectioned side view of an embodiment of a tub, as used in the household appliance according to Fig. 1 can be installed; Fig. 3 an enlarged view of the upper half of the tub in Fig. 2 ; Fig. 4 an embodiment of a lye container according to the invention with a specific storage system in a representation according to Fig. 3 ; Fig. 5 an enlarged partial view of components in Fig. 4 , where the storage system and a rear wall of the tub are shown in a disassembled state; Fig. 6 a view of the rear wall of an embodiment of a tub with a storage system attached thereto; and Fig. 7 an enlarged view of a partial section in Fig. 6 .
[0035] In the figures, identical or functionally identical elements are provided with the same reference symbols.
[0036] In Fig. 1 1 shows a schematic exemplary embodiment of a household appliance for caring for laundry items in a vertical section. The household appliance 1 is a washing machine here. The household appliance 1 has a housing 2. An oscillation system 3 of the household appliance 1 is arranged in this housing 2. The household appliance 1 further has a suds container 4. In the exemplary embodiment, the oscillation system 3 has the suds container 4 of the household appliance 1. In addition, the household appliance 1 has a laundry drum 5. The laundry drum 5 is a separate component from the suds container 4. The laundry drum 5 is accommodated in the suds container 4. In this context, the suds container 4 can be referred to as the outer drum and the laundry drum 5 as the inner drum. In the exemplary embodiment, the laundry drum 5 is mounted so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation A.The rotation axis A is oriented horizontally here and in the x-direction, which is the depth direction of the household appliance 1. The laundry drum 5 is designed to hold the laundry items. The laundry drum 5 is connected to a shaft 6 of the household appliance 1. In particular, a rotationally fixed connection is formed here. The shaft 6 is also oriented horizontally and coaxially to the rotation axis. To drive the shaft 6, the household appliance 1 has, for example, a pulley 7 and a belt 8. These components are connected to a motor 9 of the household appliance 1 and can be driven thereby. The motor 9 can be, for example, an electric motor.
[0037] The oscillating system 3 preferably also includes springs 10. It also preferably includes a shock absorber 11. Furthermore, the household appliance 1 includes a bearing module or a bearing system 12. The shaft 6 is rotatably mounted in this bearing system 12. In one example, the bearing system 12 is arranged in a bearing receptacle 13 formed on the tub 4. The bearing receptacle 13 can be an opening in a rear wall of the tub 4.
[0038] In the exemplary embodiment, the suds container 4 has a longitudinal axis B. This is schematically and exemplarily oriented in the horizontal direction and thus in the x-direction. In particular, in this schematic representation it is oriented coaxially to the longitudinal axis A. The suds container 4 has a hollow cylinder 14. The suds container 4 also has a rear wall 15. The rear wall 15 closes the suds container 4 at the rear. This rear wall 15 is separate from the hollow cylinder 14. The laundry drum 5 also has a hollow cylinder 16 and a rear wall 17. Viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis B and thus in the axial direction, the hollow cylinder 14 has a rear edge region 18. In one exemplary embodiment, the rear wall 15 has an outer edge region 19 when viewed radially with respect to the longitudinal axis B. The rear edge region 18 and the radially outer edge region 19 are directly adjacent to one another.
[0039] In Fig. 2 1 shows a vertical sectional view of an embodiment of a lye container 4. The lye container 4 is constructed in several parts. It has a front container segment 14a, viewed axially. This is essentially designed as a hollow cylinder. Furthermore, it has a rear container segment 14b, viewed axially and thus in the direction of the longitudinal axis B. The rear container segment 14b is connected to the front container segment 14a at an interface 20. In one embodiment, the rear container segment 14b can be made of plastic. For example, it can comprise talc-reinforced polypropylene. In particular, the rear container segment 14b can be made entirely of talc-reinforced polypropylene.
[0040] By designing the rear container segment 14b from plastic, in particular from talc-reinforced polypropylene, a simpler and more cost-effective plastic can be used compared to the storage system 12, in particular the storage block 25. In particular, the production time is also reduced in this regard.
[0041] The rear container segment 14b has a hollow cylinder part 21. The rear wall 15 is formed at an axially rear end of this hollow cylinder part 21. In one embodiment, it is formed integrally with the hollow cylinder part 21. The rear wall 15 has a central or middle opening 22. The bearing system 12 is arranged in the opening 22. The bearing system 12 is a separate device from the rear wall 15. The bearing system 12 is intended for supporting the shaft 6 already explained. The shaft 6 is in Fig. 2 not shown.
[0042] The storage system 12 is arranged, in particular fastened, with a non-destructively detachable connection 23 on the rear wall 15, in particular in the opening 22.
[0043] In Fig. 3 is an enlarged view of the upper part of the embodiment of the tub 4 according to Fig. 2 shown. In this embodiment, the detachable connection 23 has several bolts 24. In Fig. 3 In this regard, only one of these bolts 24 is shown. This bolt 24 can, for example, also be a screw. In this context, a screw boss is formed in the area of the opening 22 in the rear wall 15. Thus, in one embodiment, the separate bearing system 12 can be screwed to the rear wall 15 in the opening 22.
[0044] As already mentioned in Fig. 2 As can be seen, the bearing system 12 in the exemplary embodiment has a bearing block 25. Furthermore, the bearing system 12 has a bearing housing 26. The bearing housing 26 is hollow cylindrical in the exemplary embodiment. In particular, the bearing block 25 is hollow cylindrical in one exemplary embodiment. The bearing block 25 surrounds the bearing housing 26 on the circumference. The bearing block 25 is arranged directly on the outside of the bearing housing 26. In one exemplary embodiment, the bearing housing 26 is made of metal. In particular, it is made of aluminum or cast iron. In one exemplary embodiment, the bearing block 25 is made of plastic. In particular, the plastic is glass fiber reinforced polypropylene.
[0045] In Fig. 4 is shown in a corresponding sectional view as in Fig. 3 another embodiment of a tub 4 is shown. In this embodiment, in contrast to Fig. 3 The non-destructively detachable connection 23 is designed as a threaded connection 27. In this context, a boundary wall 28 of the rear wall 15, which defines the opening 22, has an internal thread 29. The bearing block 25 has an external thread 31 on a peripheral wall or a shell wall 30. Thus, the bearing system 12 can be attached to the opening 22 by the threaded connection.
[0046] In Fig. 5 is an enlarged view of a section in Fig. 4 shown. The bearing system 12 is also removed from the opening 22. Both the internal thread 29 and the external thread 30 can be seen here. As realized in this embodiment, the internal thread 29 can be segmented in the circumferential direction around the longitudinal axis B and thus in the screwing-in direction of this internal thread 29. This means that it has individual, spaced-apart internal thread sections 29a in this circumferential direction. For the sake of clarity, only some of these internal thread sections 29a are provided with the corresponding reference numerals. In addition to or instead of this, it can also be provided that the external thread 30 is segmented in this respect in the circumferential direction around the longitudinal axis B. Here, too, several spaced-apart external thread segments 30a can be formed, of which in Fig. 5 For the sake of clarity, only a few are provided with the corresponding reference numerals. As can be seen here, a corresponding outer wall surface 25a of the bearing block 25 is integral with the external thread 30 and thus formed in one piece therewith. Likewise, the internal thread 29 is integral with the boundary wall 28 and thus formed in one piece therewith.
[0047] In Fig. 6 is a rear view of the embodiment according to Fig. 5 , wherein the bearing system 12 is screwed into the opening 22 by means of this threaded connection. In this exemplary embodiment, it can also be seen that the tub 4 has an axial and / or azimuthal position fixing device 31. With this device, the bearing system 12 can be fixed in the axial direction and / or in the azimuthal direction about the longitudinal axis B. Thus, an axial position and / or an azimuthal position can be fixed.
[0048] In one embodiment, this axial and / or azimuthal position fixing device 31 has radial projections 32, as shown in the enlarged view of a partial section of Fig. 6 in the representation in Fig. 7 can be seen. These radial projections 32 are formed in one piece with the bearing system 12, in particular the bearing block 25. They project radially outwards. In the exemplary embodiment, a plurality of such discrete radial projections 32 are formed in the circumferential direction around the longitudinal axis B. These are more than three, in particular more than five, preferably eight. For the sake of clarity, only some of these radial projections 32 are provided with the corresponding reference numerals. In the circumferential direction around the longitudinal axis B, these radial projections 32 are arranged equidistant from one another in one exemplary embodiment. Furthermore, this axial and / or azimuthal position fixing device 31 has positioning ribs 33. In one exemplary embodiment, these are formed in one piece with the rear wall 15. Also for the sake of clarity, the enlarged illustration in Fig. 7 only some of these positioning ribs 33 are provided with the corresponding reference symbol.
[0049] The positioning ribs 33 are provided for coupling to the radial projections 32. This allows the axial position and / or the azimuthal position of the bearing system 12 to be fixed. This is not the only way in one embodiment to create a bayonet-like, detachable connection. In one embodiment, it is provided that a full rotation about the longitudinal axis A results in an axial position change of the bearing system 12 relative to the opening 22 of between 4 mm and 6 mm, in particular by 5 mm. It can be provided that an axial position change of the bearing system 12 of between 0.6 mm and 0.7 mm, in particular between 0.6 mm and 0.63 mm, is set here by the eight discrete coupling steps, each formed by the eight radial projections 32 and the positioning ribs 33. This means that upon rotation about the longitudinal axis B between two radial projections 32 adjacent in the azimuthal direction, a corresponding axial position change can be adjusted. In the snapped state between a radial projection 32 and a positioning element 33, a discrete coupling stage is formed in this regard.
