AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing vehicles for laying and compacting gravel are unsuitable for small, hard-to-reach areas, requiring manual labor and multiple stages, which are arduous and time-consuming.

Method used

A motor vehicle with a hopper mounted at the front and a compaction roller at the rear, allowing simultaneous gravel deposition and compaction in a single pass, using a hopper with controlled gravity flow and actuators for precise gravel distribution.

Benefits of technology

Facilitates quick and mechanized gravel spreading and compaction in confined spaces, reducing labor intensity and operation time.

Abstract

The invention relates to a motorized device (1) for depositing gravel on at least part of a ground and compacting the gravel thus deposited on the ground, the device (1) comprising: - at least one roller (2) for compacting the ground; - a hopper (5) for storing gravel and depositing the gravel contained in the hopper (5) on the ground by controlled gravity flow of the gravel from the hopper (5); the hopper (5) being mounted integrally with the device (1) and extending in front of said at least one roller (2) in the direction of movement of the device (1) and in such a way as to allow in a single pass of the device (1) and due to the movement of the device (1), a deposit of gravel on the ground and a compaction of the gravel spread on the ground by the roller (2).
