Method for driving a light-emitting device

Abstract

One aspect of the invention relates to a method for driving a light-emitting device (1) for a motor vehicle (2), said device comprising: - a pixelated light source (10) that comprises a plurality of selectively activatable elementary light sources and that is placed in a case, - a control unit that drives actuation of the elementary light sources and that allows at least two superposed images (300, 310) to be projected, and - a temperature sensor placed in the case, characterized in that said method comprises the following steps: - measuring the temperature, - if the temperature is above a predefined threshold value, the luminous power of one of the two images is attenuated, the other remaining at the same luminous power.
