Abstract
Description
[0001] Induction energy transfer system
[0002] The invention relates to an induction energy transmission system according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for operating an induction energy transmission system according to claim 12.
[0003] Induction energy transmission systems for the inductive transmission of energy from a primary coil of a supply unit to a secondary coil of a mounting unit are already known from the prior art. For example, US Pat. No. 3,761,668 A proposes an induction hob which, in addition to inductively heating cookware, is also intended to supply energy to small household appliances, such as a blender. Energy inductively provided by a primary coil of the induction hob is partially transmitted to a secondary coil integrated into the small household appliance. Some mounting units can be operated in different modes, for example, in a heating mode and a keep-warm mode.A disadvantage of previously known induction energy transmission systems is that when the load of the installation unit changes, for example when changing from a first operating mode to a second operating mode, during an inductive supply of energy by the primary coil, there is an increased risk of damage to electrical components, for example inverters, due to voltage peaks that occur, which limits operational reliability.
[0004] The object of the invention is, in particular but not limited to, to provide a generic device with improved properties regarding operational reliability. This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claims 1 and 12, while advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention can be found in the subclaims.
[0005] The invention is based on an induction energy transmission system, in particular an induction cooking system, with a supply unit which has at least one supply induction element for the inductive provision of energy, with a control unit for controlling the supply unit, and with at least one installation unit which has at least one receiving induction element for receiving the inductively provided energy.
[0006] It is proposed that, in the event of an announced change in at least one operating parameter of an operating parameter set of the installation unit, the control unit is provided to initiate a safety period and to adapt the energy provided inductively by the supply unit to the changed operating parameter within the safety period.
[0007] Such a configuration advantageously provides an induction energy transmission system with improved operational reliability. In particular, the risk of damage to electronic components of the induction energy transmission system, in particular an inverter unit of the supply unit, during a load change of the installation unit can be reduced, preferably minimized. Furthermore, improved protection of electrical components of the installation unit during a load change can also be advantageously enabled. Thus, a particularly reliable and durable induction energy transmission system can be advantageously provided. Furthermore, the user experience can be advantageously improved.
[0008] The induction energy transmission system has at least one main functionality in the form of wireless energy transmission, in particular a wireless energy supply to installation units. In an advantageous embodiment, the induction energy transmission system is designed as an induction cooking system with at least one further main function that differs from a pure cooking function, in particular at least an energy supply and operation of small household appliances. For example, the induction energy transmission system could be designed as an induction oven system and / or as an induction grill system. In particular, the supply unit could be designed as part of an induction oven and / or as part of an induction grill. The induction energy transmission system designed as an induction cooking system is preferably designed as an induction hob system. The supply unit is then preferably designed as part of a hob, in particular an induction hob. In a further advantageous embodiment, the induction energy transmission system is designed as a kitchen energy supply system and, in addition to a primary function of supplying energy and operating small household appliances, can also be provided for providing cooking functions.
[0009] A "supply unit" is understood to mean a unit that inductively provides energy in at least one operating state and, in particular, has a primary functionality in the form of energy provision. To provide energy, the supply unit has at least one supply induction element, which, in particular, has at least one coil, in particular at least one primary coil, and / or is designed as a coil, and which, in particular, provides energy inductively in the operating state. The supply unit could have at least two, in particular at least three, advantageously at least four, particularly advantageously at least five, preferably at least eight, and particularly preferably a plurality of supply induction elements, which could each inductively provide energy in the operating state, in particular to a single receiving induction element or to at least two or more receiving induction elements of at least one installation unit and / or at least one further installation unit. At least some of the supply induction elements could be arranged in close proximity to one another, for example in a row and / or in the form of a matrix. The supply unit preferably has at least one inverter unit.In the operating state, the inverter unit preferably performs a frequency conversion and, in particular, converts a low-frequency AC voltage on the input side into a high-frequency AC voltage on the output side. The low-frequency AC voltage preferably has a frequency of at most 100 Hz. The high-frequency AC voltage preferably has a frequency of at least 1000 Hz. The inverter unit is connected to the control unit and can be controlled by the control unit using control signals. The inverter unit is preferably designed to adjust the energy provided inductively by the at least one supply induction element by adjusting the high-frequency AC voltage. The inverter unit preferably has at least one inverter switching element. The inverter switching element preferably generates an oscillating electrical current for operating the at least one supply induction element, preferably with a frequency of at least 15 kHz, in particular of at least 17 kHz, and advantageously of at least 20 kHz. The supply unit preferably comprises at least one rectifier unit, which is provided for rectifying a mains AC voltage provided by a mains AC voltage source to which the induction energy transmission system is connected in an operating state.
[0010] A "installation unit" is understood to mean a unit which, in at least one operating state, inductively receives energy and at least partially converts the inductively received energy into at least one further form of energy to provide at least one main function. For example, the energy inductively received by the installation unit could be converted, in particular directly, into at least one further form of energy, such as heat, in the operating state. Alternatively or additionally, the installation unit could have at least one electrical consumer, for example an electric motor or the like. The installation unit has at least one receiving induction element for receiving the inductively provided energy. The installation unit could, for example, have at least two, in particular at least three, advantageously at least four, particularly advantageously at least five, preferably at least eight, and particularly preferably a plurality of receiving induction elements, each of which could inductively receive energy, particularly from the supply induction element, particularly in the operating state. The installation unit could, for example, be designed as a cooking utensil. The cooking utensil preferably has at least one food receiving space and, in the operating state, converts the inductively received energy at least partially into heat for heating food arranged in the food receiving space.Preferably, the installation unit designed as a cooking utensil has at least one further unit for providing at least one further function that goes beyond and / or differs from simply heating food. For example, the further unit could be designed as a temperature sensor or as a stirring unit or the like. Alternatively, the installation unit could be designed as a small household appliance. Preferably, the small household appliance is a location-independent household appliance that has at least the receiving induction element and at least one functional unit that provides at least one household appliance function in an operating state. In this context, "location-independent" means that the small household appliance can be positioned freely within a household by a user, and in particular without any tools, particularly in contrast to a large household appliance, which is permanently positioned and / or installed at a specific location within a household, such as an oven or a refrigerator. Preferably, the small household appliance is designed as a small kitchen appliance and, in its operating state, provides at least one main function for processing food. The small household appliance could, for example, be designed as, but not limited to, a food processor and / or as a blender and / or as a stirrer and / or as a grinder and / or as a kitchen scale or as a kettle or as a coffee machine or as a rice cooker or as a milk frother or as a deep fryer, in particular an air fryer, or as a toaster or as a juicer or as a cutting machine or the like.
[0011] The receiving induction element of the installation unit comprises at least one secondary coil and / or is designed as a secondary coil. In an operating state of the installation unit, the receiving induction element supplies at least one consumer of the installation unit with electrical energy. Furthermore, it is conceivable for the installation unit to have an energy storage device, in particular an accumulator, which is designed to store electrical energy received via the receiving induction element in a charged state and to make it available to supply the functional unit in a discharged state.
[0012] The induction energy transmission system preferably has at least one support plate for supporting the support unit. A "support plate" is understood to mean at least one, in particular plate-like, unit that is provided for supporting at least one support unit and / or for supporting at least one item of food. The support plate could, for example, be designed as a worktop, in particular as a kitchen worktop, or as a partial region of at least one worktop, in particular at least one kitchen worktop, in particular of the induction energy transmission system. Alternatively or additionally, the support plate could be designed as a hob plate. The installation plate designed as a hob plate could, in particular, form at least part of a hob outer housing and, in particular, together with at least one outer housing unit, to which the installation plate designed as a hob plate could, in particular, be connected in at least one assembled state, form at least a large part of the hob outer housing. The installation plate is preferably made of a non-metallic material. The installation plate could, for example, be formed at least largely from glass and / or glass ceramic and / or Neolith and / or Dekton and / or wood and / or marble and / or stone, in particular natural stone, and / or laminate and / or plastic and / or ceramic.
[0013] In this application, positional designations such as "below" or "above" refer to the mounted state of the mounting plate, unless explicitly stated otherwise. In the mounted state, the supply unit is preferably arranged below the mounting plate.
[0014] A "control unit" is understood to mean an electronic unit designed to control and / or regulate at least the supply unit. The control unit preferably comprises a computing unit and, in particular, in addition to the computing unit, a memory unit with a control and / or regulation program stored therein, which is designed to be executed by the computing unit.
[0015] An "operating parameter set" is understood to mean a plurality of at least two operating parameters of the installation unit, based on which the control unit controls the energy provided inductively by the supply unit according to a current operating mode of the installation unit. At least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set can be a dynamic, i.e., in particular, a time-varying, operating parameter. The dynamic operating parameter can be, for example, a power level and / or type of electrical loads to be operated simultaneously and / or a total electrical load and / or an impedance of the installation unit in a specific operating mode.In addition to the at least one dynamic operating parameter, the operating parameter set can include further operating parameters, in particular static operating parameters, for example, a structural and / or geometric characteristic of the installation unit, in particular of the receiving induction element. Structural and / or geometric characteristics could include, for example, a shape and / or size, in particular a radius and / or diameter, and / or a cross-sectional area and / or a number of windings and / or a material and / or a spatial position of the receiving induction element within the installation unit, without being limited thereto.Further operating parameters of the operating parameter set can include, for example, electrical characteristics of the receiving induction element, for example an amount of electrical resistance and / or an impedance and / or an inductance and / or a magnetic flux density and / or a resonant frequency and / or a material constant, for example a magnetic permeability. Preferably, at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set includes at least one operating characteristic of the installation unit, for example a maximum power and / or a minimum power and / or number of power levels and / or a number and / or type of operable electrical loads and / or a voltage and / or current required in a specific operating mode.
[0016] The control unit is provided to operate the supply unit, in particular at least one inverter switching element of the inverter unit, in a safety mode during the safety period, wherein in the safety mode parameters of the supply unit, for example a switching frequency and / or a duty cycle of the inverter switching element of the inverter unit and / or a voltage and / or current applied to the inverter switching element, are changed compared to a normal operating mode in order to enable a safe change of the at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set of the installation unit. The control unit can, for example, be provided to operate the inverter unit in the normal operating mode with a switching frequency between 15 kHz and 50 kHz and a duty cycle of 1.0 and in the safety mode with a switching frequency of 75 kHz and a duty cycle of 0.5.
[0017] In this document, numerals such as "first" and "second," which precede certain terms, serve only to distinguish between objects and / or to correlate objects with each other and do not imply a total number and / or ranking of the objects. In particular, a "second object" does not necessarily imply the presence of a "first object."
[0018] In this document, "at least substantially" is understood to mean that a deviation from a specified value is less than 25%, preferably less than 10%, and particularly preferably less than 5% of the specified value. "Intended" is understood to mean specifically programmed, designed, and / or equipped. The fact that an object is intended for a specific function is understood to mean that the object fulfills and / or performs this specific function in at least one application and / or operating state.
[0019] It is further proposed that the installation unit be provided to announce a planned change to the at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set at least one period of a mains alternating voltage in advance. This can advantageously further increase operational reliability. In particular, it can ensure that the safety period is initiated in a timely manner before a change to the at least one operating parameter of the installation unit. The mains alternating voltage refers to an electrical alternating voltage which is provided by a voltage source, for example a socket or a three-phase connection, for operating the induction energy transmission system. The period of the mains alternating voltage corresponds to the inverse of the mains frequency. In Europe, AC mains voltage is typically provided at a mains frequency of 50 Hz, so that one period of the AC mains voltage in this case is 20 milliseconds.
[0020] Furthermore, it is proposed that the control unit be configured to transmit a period of the safety period to the installation unit. Such a configuration can advantageously further improve operational reliability. It can advantageously enable a safe change of at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set of the installation unit. In particular, improved protection of electronic components of the installation unit can be achieved.
[0021] Furthermore, it is proposed that the control unit be provided to operate the supply unit in the safety period with reduced energy compared to a normal operating period. Such a configuration can advantageously further increase operational reliability. A “normal operating period” is to be understood as an operating period in which the control unit operates the supply unit, in particular the inverter unit of the supply unit, in the normal operating mode. The control unit can be provided to operate the supply unit in the safety period with reduced energy compared to the normal operating period by at least 40%, in particular by at least 50%, advantageously by at least 60%, particularly advantageously by at least 70%, preferably by at least 80% and particularly preferably by at least 90%.In a particularly advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that the control unit be designed to interrupt the power supply to the supply unit during the safety period. This can advantageously further improve operational reliability.
[0022] It is further proposed that the duration of the safety period corresponds to at least twice the duration of an operating parameter change of the installation unit. This can advantageously increase flexibility. Since the duration of an operating parameter change can vary greatly between different installation units, for example due to different switching strategies, flexible and safe use of different installation units can be enabled if the duration of the safety period corresponds to at least twice the duration of the operating parameter change of the installation unit. Preferably, the duration of the safety period corresponds to at least 5 milliseconds. In an advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that the duration of the safety period corresponds to at least half the period duration of an alternating mains voltage. The duration of the safety period can be an integer multiple of half the period of the AC mains voltage, for example, double, triple, or quadruple half the period of the AC mains voltage. The duration of the safety period is preferably a maximum of 100 milliseconds.
[0023] Furthermore, it is proposed that the induction energy transmission system comprise a communication unit for wireless data transmission, in particular via NFC, between the installation unit and the control unit. The communication unit comprises at least one communication element for wireless data transmission. It would be conceivable for the communication unit to comprise at least one inductive communication element, which is designed separately from the supply induction element and is connected to the control unit. Wireless communication could then take place between the inductive communication element and the receiving induction element or another inductive communication element of the communication unit, which is arranged in the installation unit, by means of inductive communication signals. The communication unit could alternatively or additionally be provided for wireless data transmission between the control unit and the installation unit via RFID, or via Wi-Fi, or via Bluetooth, or via ZigBee, or for wireless data transmission according to another suitable wireless communication standard. Preferably, the communication unit is provided for wireless data transmission between the installation unit and the control unit via NFC and has at least one communication element that is provided for wireless data transmission via NFC. The communication unit is preferably provided for bidirectional wireless data transmission, i.e., for both wireless reception and wireless transmission of data. The communication unit preferably has at least one communication element connected to the control unit and, in particular, designed for wirelessly receiving and transmitting data. The communication unit preferably has at least one further communication element arranged within the installation unit and, in particular, designed for wirelessly receiving and transmitting data.
[0024] Furthermore, it is proposed that the installation unit be designed as a small household appliance. This advantageously provides an induction energy transmission system with particularly high operating convenience.
[0025] The invention further relates to a small household appliance of an induction energy transmission system according to one of the previously described embodiments. Such a small household appliance is characterized in particular by high operational safety, as well as high reliability and durability when operated within the induction energy transmission system.
[0026] The invention also relates to a cooktop of an induction energy transmission system according to one of the previously described embodiments, wherein the cooktop comprises the supply unit. Such a cooktop is characterized in particular by high operational safety, as well as high reliability and durability when operated within the induction energy transmission system. In addition to the supply unit, the cooktop can comprise other units and / or elements of the induction energy transmission system, for example, the control unit and / or the installation plate. The invention further relates to a method for operating an induction energy transmission system according to one of the previously described embodiments, with a supply unit which has at least one supply induction element for inductively providing energy, and with at least one installation unit which has at least one receiving induction element for receiving the inductively provided energy.
[0027] It is proposed that, in the event of an announced change to at least one operating parameter of an operating parameter set of the installation unit, a safety period is initiated during which the energy provided inductively by the supply unit is adjusted to the changed operating parameter. Such a method can advantageously enable particularly safe operation of the induction energy transmission system.
[0028] The induction energy transmission system is not intended to be limited to the application and embodiment described above. In particular, the induction energy transmission system may have a number of individual elements, components, and units that differs from the number stated herein to fulfill a functionality described herein.
[0029] Further advantages will become apparent from the following description of the drawings. The drawings illustrate an exemplary embodiment of the invention. The drawings, the description, and the claims contain numerous features in combination. Those skilled in the art will also expediently consider the features individually and combine them into useful further combinations.
[0030] They show:
[0031] Fig. 1 shows an induction energy transmission system with a supply unit, a control unit and two installation units in a schematic representation,
[0032] Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram showing the operation of the induction energy transmission system and
[0033] Fig. 3 is a schematic process flow diagram illustrating a method for operating the induction energy transmission system. Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of an induction energy transmission system 10. The induction energy transmission system 10 has a supply unit 12. The supply unit 12 comprises at least one supply induction element 14 for the inductive provision of energy. In the present case, the supply unit 12 comprises four supply induction elements 14.
[0034] The induction energy transmission system 10 has a mounting plate 44. The supply unit 12 is arranged below the mounting plate 44.
[0035] The induction energy transmission system 10 has a control unit 16 for controlling the supply unit 12. The supply unit 12 comprises an inverter unit with at least one inverter (not shown), wherein the inverter unit is controllable by the control unit 16. The induction energy transmission system 10 is provided for connection to an AC mains voltage source (not shown), for example a socket or a three-phase connection. In an operating state, the induction energy transmission system 10 is supplied with an AC mains voltage via the AC mains voltage source. The supply unit 12 has a rectifier unit (not shown), which is provided for rectifying the AC mains voltage and supplying the inverters of the inverter unit with a rectified AC mains voltage on the input side.
[0036] The induction energy transmission system 10 is embodied as an induction cooking system and includes a cooktop 42. The cooktop 42 is embodied as an induction cooktop. In this case, the support plate 44 is embodied as a cooktop plate of the cooktop 42. In this case, the cooktop 42 includes the supply unit 12. In this case, the control unit 16 is also part of the cooktop 42.
[0037] The induction transmission system 10 has at least one installation unit 18. The installation unit 18 has a receiving induction element 22 for receiving the energy inductively provided by the supply unit 12. In the present case, the installation unit 18 is designed as a small household appliance 38, specifically as a food processor.
[0038] The induction energy transmission system 10 has a further installation unit 20. The further installation unit 20 also comprises a receiving induction element 22 for receiving the energy inductively provided by the supply unit 12. The further installation unit 20 is in the present case designed as a further small household appliance.
[0039] 40, namely as a deep fryer, in particular as a hot air fryer.
[0040] The induction energy transmission system 10 has a communication unit 36. The communication unit 36 is provided for wireless data transmission between the installation unit 18 and the control unit 16. In the present case, the communication unit 36 is also provided for wireless data transmission between the further installation unit 20 and the control unit 16. The communication unit 36 has a communication element 48, which is connected to the control unit 16 and is provided for wirelessly transmitting and receiving data.
[0041] The communication unit 36 has a further communication element 50, which is arranged in the installation unit 18 and is provided for wirelessly transmitting and receiving data. The communication unit 46 also has a further communication element 52, which is arranged in the further installation unit 20 and is provided for wirelessly transmitting and receiving data. In the present case, the communication unit 46 is designed as an NFC communication unit and is provided for wireless data transmission via NFC between the control unit 16 and the installation unit 18 and / or the further installation unit 20.
[0042] Figure 2 shows a schematic diagram illustrating the operation of the control unit 16. A time in milliseconds is plotted on an abscissa 54 of the diagram. An electrical power in watts provided inductively by a supply induction element 14 of the supply unit 12 is plotted on an ordinate 56 of the diagram.
[0043] In the event of an announced change to at least one operating parameter of an operating parameter set of the installation unit 18, the control unit 16 is provided to initiate a safety period 24 and to adapt the energy inductively provided by the supply unit 12 to the changed operating parameter within the safety period 24. The operating parameter of the installation unit 18 can be, for example, but is not limited to, a total electrical load and / or an impedance and / or a required electrical power of the installation unit 18 in a specific operating mode. For example, the installation unit 18 designed as a food processor can be provided for heating and stirring food in a first operating mode and for keeping food warm in a second operating mode, so that a total electrical load and / or an impedance and / or a required electrical power of the installation unit 18 is / are greater in the first operating mode than in the second operating mode.
[0044] During a normal operating period 30, the supply induction element 14 inductively supplies energy to the receiving induction element 22, wherein the electrical power provided during the normal operating period 30 corresponds to a power requirement of the installation unit 18 in the first operating mode. In the diagram in Figure 2, the normal operating period 30 is shown as an example for a time period corresponding to three half periods 46 of the AC mains voltage. A period 26 of the AC mains voltage corresponds to an inverse of a mains frequency of the AC mains voltage. The AC mains voltage can, for example, have a mains frequency of 50 Hertz, so that the period 46 of the AC mains voltage corresponds to 20 milliseconds. The shown time period of the normal operating period 30 therefore corresponds to 30 milliseconds, although the normal operating period 30 can of course also be shorter or significantly longer.
[0045] The setup unit 18 is provided to announce a planned change to the at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set, for example, a change in the total electrical load when changing from the first operating mode to the second operating mode, at least one period 26 of the AC mains voltage in advance. The setup unit 18 could announce the planned change to the at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set to the control unit 16, for example, at a first time 58 within the normal operating period 30, specifically by means of the communication unit 36. The change to the at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set then occurs at a later second time 60, which is spaced from the first time 58 by at least one period 26 of the AC mains voltage, i.e., at least 20 milliseconds.
[0046] The control unit 16 is further provided to transmit a time period 28 of the safety period 24 to the installation unit 18, specifically by means of the communication unit 36. After an announcement of the planned change to the at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set by the installation unit 18 at the first time 58, the control unit 16 transmits the time period 28 of the safety period 24 to the installation unit 18, specifically by means of the communication unit 36. The change to the at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set then occurs at the second time 60 within the safety period 24.
[0047] The control unit 16 is designed to operate the supply unit 12 during the safety period 24 with a reduced energy level compared to the normal operating period 30. For example, the control unit 16 could operate the supply unit 12 during the safety period 24 with a reduced energy level by at least 50% compared to the normal operating period 30. In this case, the control unit 16 is designed to interrupt the energy supply to the supply unit 12 during the safety period 24.
[0048] A duration 32 of the safety period 24 corresponds to at least twice the duration 34 of an operating parameter change of the installation unit 18. The duration 34 of the operating parameter change of the installation unit 18 could, for example, be 4 milliseconds, so that the duration of the safety period 24 corresponds to at least 8 milliseconds. In the present exemplary embodiment, the duration 32 of the safety period 24 corresponds to at least one, in this case exactly one half, period duration 26 of the mains AC voltage, i.e., at least 10 milliseconds at a mains frequency of 50 Hertz. The duration 34 of the operating parameter change of the installation unit 18 is 5 milliseconds in this case.
[0049] After the end of the safety period 24, a further normal operating period 66 follows, in which the control unit 16 operates the supply unit 12 such that the energy inductively provided by the supply induction element 14 is adapted to the changed operating parameters of the operating parameter set of the installation unit 18, wherein a provided electrical power during the further normal operating period 66 corresponds to a power requirement of the installation unit 18 in the second operating mode.
[0050] Figure 3 shows a schematic process flow diagram of a method for operating the induction energy transmission system 10. In the method, when an announced change to at least one operating parameter of the operating parameter set of the installation unit 18 is initiated, a safety period 24 is initiated, during which an adjustment of the energy inductively provided by the supply unit 12 to the changed operating parameter is carried out. The method comprises at least two method steps 62, 64. In a first method step 62 of the method, a planned change to the operating parameter is announced by the installation unit 18, specifically via the communication unit 36. In a second method step 64 of the method, the safety period 24 is initiated and the energy inductively provided by the supply unit 12 is adjusted to the changed operating parameter.
