Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a combination of a wiper plate for a floor cleaning device with an associated wiper cover adapted to the wiper plate according to the preamble of claim 1. The generic combinations of wiper plate and wiper cover are characterized by a wiper plate which has a plate underside movable along a floor surface to be cleaned and on an upper side a fastening option in the form of a handle holder for a handle of the floor cleaning device.
[0002] The wiper cover is attached to the wiper plate via fasteners that are detachable and largely defined in position, meaning that due to its inherent flexibility, it has a range of motion of up to 50 mm, preferably up to 20 mm. The specific design of these fasteners depends on the type of wiper plate and the respective wiper cover.
[0003] For example, foldable wiper plates with two plate wings that can be pivoted relative to one another are commercially available and are described in DE10 2005 044 509 A1. With these wiper plates, the plate wings can be folded together so that they hang down from a central handle holder. The corresponding mop cover can have side pockets on the top side that are open towards the opposite side. To attach the mop cover, the wiper plate is pressed onto the top side, causing the plates to move apart outwards and engage in the pockets on the top side of the mop cover. Once the plates have been locked in a position relative to one another in which the undersides of the plate wings lie in a common plane, the mop cover is then clamped onto the wiper plate that has been brought into the position for use.
[0004] Alternative solutions guide the mop cover around a rigid wiper plate, with the mop cover then being secured to the top of the wiper plate using clips or snap fasteners. Such a solution is known from DE 10 2018 112 822 A1 or WO 10114207 A1. Furthermore, frame-like wiper plates are also known, for example from DE 10 2013 107 316 B3, in which the plate wings or wiper plates consist of a rectangular, curved, open-sided frame to which the mop covers are clipped using corresponding clip connections.
[0005] Ultimately, the application of the invention is not limited to the specific design of the wiper cover and the fastening, nor to the specific design of the wiper plate.
[0006] Generic wiper plates with an associated wiper cover for a floor cleaning device with the option of selectively varying the cleaning effect by increasing the contact pressure are known from WO 2012 / 076076 A1 and EP 1 681 975 B1. These wiper plates have a foam layer on the underside in which a recess is provided, in which a rigid, non-elastic stamp is arranged. By applying pressure to the wiper plates via the handle, the user can compress the foam so that the non-elastic stamp presses the wiper cover onto the floor, thus achieving a greater cleaning effect against stubborn dirt in the area of the pressing surface. However, this solution has the disadvantage that the user must also hit the stubborn dirt with the stamp and that the width of the increased cleaning effect due to the pressing pressure is correspondingly small.Furthermore, they may inadvertently increase the pressure, potentially causing scratches on the floor surface. Finally, the moisture absorption capacity is reduced in the area of the non-elastic stamp, resulting in inhomogeneous properties of the wiper combined with moisture absorption.
[0007] DE 10 153 801 A1 shows a similar solution to EP 1 681 975 B1, in conjunction with removable wipers, but this also has similar disadvantages. The same applies to the solution known from EP 1 985 221 A2, which has a wiper plate with a press piece on its underside in the area of the handle holder that is pressed against the floor by the force of a spring. Here, too, the increase in pressure is limited to a specific point or area, so that in the case of stubborn dirt that extends over a large part of the width of the wiper plate, this area must be passed over very frequently to reliably remove the dirt.
[0008] WO 10 114 207 A1, in turn, discloses a wiper plate that has closely spaced, largely evenly spaced nubs on the underside—in one specific embodiment, interrupted by a central row—that can increase the pressure on the mop cover at specific points. These wiper plates have the disadvantage that, while the nubs improve dirt removal when the wiper passes over the dirty area once, their ability to absorb moisture is reduced when this function is used due to the essentially flat contact pressure.
[0009] DE 10 2015 014 069 A1 discloses a cleaning device in the form of a mop cover. It has three cleaning zones with different pile densities on its underside, perpendicular to the wiping direction. These three cleaning zones serve different purposes, so that a cleaning zone with a higher abrasive ability can be provided for stubborn dirt. However, a floor mop equipped with such a mop cover has the disadvantage that the user must apply the necessary pressure to the entire mop plate, which is tiring and reduces the capacity for liquid absorption.
[0010] EP 2 988 644 A1 describes a mop cover for cleaning surfaces, comprising a base body on whose cleaning-active surface flock material is arranged in islands or isolated areas, with the flock material being arranged on a separate cleaning strip on the base body. This mop cover allows for the optimization of the cleaning effect for coarse soiling, but has the disadvantage that the pressure force can only be applied uniformly to the mop plate. A similar solution, which uses bristles permeating the pile fabric instead of flocking, is known from DE 29 918 620 U1.
[0011] EP 2 648 592 A1 discloses a fringe mop comprising individual mop strips attached to a head at the end of a handle. The mop strips, in turn, have different zones, some of which, particularly at the end of each mop strip, feature scraping sections. However, because the mop strips hang freely, these sections cannot be pressed onto coarse dirt in a targeted manner, so the removal effect remains limited compared to a fixed mop plate.
[0012] The object of the invention is therefore to create a combination of a wiper plate for a floor cleaning device with an associated wiper cover adapted to the wiper plate, which makes it possible to remove dirt and absorb moisture easily and effectively over a larger area and with as few movements as possible.
[0013] This object is achieved according to the invention by a combination of a wiper plate for a floor cleaning device with an associated wiper cover adapted to the wiper plate according to claim 1.
[0014] The new combination of a wiper plate and a wiper cover is particularly characterized by the fact that the local pressure media have now been optimized in size and position and the wiper cover is adapted to the local pressure media in order to be able to generate an optimal cleaning effect with the lowest possible contact pressure without having to forego a high capacity for moisture absorption.
[0015] To achieve the above-mentioned object, the wiper plate is provided with a contoured underside, with raised pressure surfaces being provided which, when used as intended, protrude downwards as elongated pressure surfaces from the plane of the underside of the wiper plate, which can also be virtually spanned by a frame or ribs. The pressure edges are edges or raised areas that protrude towards the floor covering, with the mop cover having different areas with at least one liquid and / or dirt absorption area with a soft, moisture-absorbing fiber structure and with at least one dirt removal area with a harder, abrasive fiber structure than the fibers of the liquid and / or dirt absorption area. A dirt removal area running along the respective pressure surface is then provided below the pressure surfaces.
[0016] Alternatively, the mop cover can be movable at least in sections relative to the wiper plate, and the combination of mop cover and wiper plate can be designed such that the dirt-removing area is pushed forward in front of the pressure surface when the wiper plate moves due to the frictional force between the wiper plate and the floor. As a result, the pressure surface propels the dirt-removing area in one wiping direction, pressing it against the floor, while no pressure is exerted in the opposite wiping direction. On its side facing the wiper plate, the mop cover can have a friction-increasing coating above the dirt-removing areas or immediately in front of them, or a thickened portion projecting toward the wiper plate, which reinforces the forward pushing action.
[0017] Adapting the mop cover to different cleaning techniques or materials, as well as arranging materials more suitable for loosening stubborn dirt particles below the pressure surfaces, allows the contact pressure to be applied precisely where it is needed. This is the location of the dirt removal zone. This dirt removal zone is preferably an elongated area extending transversely to the wiping direction of the intended floor cleaning device. The pressure surfaces can extend across the entire length of the underside of the wiper plate; alternatively, they can also be formed by a plurality of offset pressure surfaces, which can then cover the entire width of the wiper plates. The edge areas can remain free of printing surfaces, for example to prevent drops and liquid residues from remaining there due to the better absorption capacity of the liquid and dirt absorption area.
[0018] Edge areas consisting exclusively of a highly absorbent liquid and / or dirt absorption zone will improve the absorption of liquid at the lateral edges of the cleaning area. Since the user typically moves the floor cleaning device across the area in overlapping sweeps anyway, the fact that the edge areas may not be as well-suited for loosening stubborn dirt is less of a concern.
[0019] To ensure optimal coordination of the arrangement of the respective cleaning areas, i.e. the liquid and / or dirt absorption areas between the pressure surfaces and the respective dirt removal area below the pressure surfaces, the mop cover is preferably connected to the wiper plate during use in such a way that a relative movement between the elastic mop cover below the wiper plate cannot cause the arrangement of the pressure surfaces above the dirt removal area to be canceled out by slipping of the mop cover. To this end, the connection between the mop cover and at least the underside of the wiper plate is preferably designed in such a way that the mop cover can move by a maximum of 50 mm, and better yet, by a maximum of 20 mm, in any direction and is otherwise held non-slip on the wiper plate. Furthermore, additional means, such as rubber nubs on the mop cover or other measures can of course also limit or suppress slipping.
[0020] To ensure the above-mentioned positional definition of the mop cover area, the dirt removal areas are preferably somewhat wider than the pressure surfaces, at least in the main wiping direction. This reduces the relevance of a relative displacement of the mop cover to the underside of the wiper plate. The elongated pressure surfaces can be ribs or raised areas on the underside of the mop plate. If the wiper plate consists of one or two brackets, additional crossbars with a round or oval cross-section and a corresponding height offset can form the pressure surfaces. The width of the pressure surfaces transverse to the main wiping direction should be rather small to apply a linear pressure. A width of 1 mm to a maximum of 5 mm is preferably selected here. The dirt removal areas, in turn, can be between 10 mm and 20 mm wide, for example.
[0021] The ratio of the width of the pressure surfaces and the dirt removal areas, as well as the relative fixation of the mop cover to the wiper plate, ensures that the increased contact pressure is effectively applied in a portion of the dirt removal area. Additional fixing devices can also be provided between the underside of the wiper plate and the mop cover to reduce or prevent the mop cover from slipping. In a simple case, these can be small spikes or knobs extending into the upper part of the mop cover. Rubber elements can also be used to further reduce the risk of these additional fixing devices causing scratches on the floor covering. In most cases, however, good clamping in combination with the geometric selection of the width of the respective surfaces will be sufficient to achieve the desired effect.
[0022] It is particularly preferred if the pairing of pressure surface and dirt removal area runs transversely across the underside of the wiper plate relative to the main wiping direction. In this case, several pairings arranged one behind the other are preferably used in the main wiping direction. These pairings can run parallel to the long edge of a rectangular wiper plate, but can also be set at an angle to it. This angle is preferably 30° or smaller. However, in order to also provide a dirt removal function transversely to the main wiping direction, in addition to or alternatively to the orientation of the pairings described above, such a pairing can also be provided in the edge region and parallel to the main wiping direction. With a floor mop with such a combination, the user can then, for example, loosen stuck-on dirt with a movement in which the narrow side runs first, while absorbing moisture and loosened dirt with a movement in which a broad side runs first.
[0023] Ultimately, the arrangement and path of the pairings of pressure surfaces and dirt-removal areas are a matter of optimization and the decision as to which wiping direction the dirt-removal function should be provided or optimized in. The same applies to the number of pairings and the question of whether these all run along one long side of a rectangular wiper plate and, additionally or alternatively, along the narrow sides or at an angle to the sides.
[0024] The dirt-removing areas are generally covered with the usual, slightly abrasive materials. These can be brush-like bristle combinations, for example, with rectangularly arranged bristles, fiber composites with embedded bristles or tufts of bristles, or even fleece or other materials familiar from cleaning textiles. These can be universally applicable or tailored to specific flooring types, such as tiles, parquet, etc., so that damage to the floor caused by excessive abrasive action can be avoided. It is also possible for the raised areas of the pressure surfaces to be spring-loaded downwards, so that a defined maximum pressure cannot be exceeded. This is particularly advantageous in conjunction with spacers, which can be provided on the underside of the wiper plate in the area of the liquid and dirt absorption areas and which define a minimum distance between the dirt removal areas.
[0025] Preferably, the liquid and dirt absorption area has a first cleaning pile with a first pile height and a first density of first fibers, and the dirt removal area has a brush area or a second cleaning pile with a second pile height and a second fiber density. The titer, i.e. the fineness of the first fibers, is selected to be lower than the fineness of the second fibers. Furthermore, the density per mm² of the first fibers can be higher than the density of the second fibers. Finally, the cleaning and absorption capacity can be adjusted via the pile height, whereby the pile height of the first fibers is higher than the pile height of the second fibers. In most cases, however, the options are combined. The fineness of the first fibers can, for example, be lower than 50 d. tex (50g / 10 000m), preferably less than 20 d tex and particularly preferably less than 5 d texIn particular, a microfiber with a dtex value of less than 1 is considered advantageous.
[0026] The second cleaning pile can be made of synthetic bristles or contain synthetic bristles. Synthetic bristles are essentially rigid, synthetic fibers, with the bristle arrangement being single- or multi-row, diagonal, wave-shaped, or arrow-shaped within a matrix of textile fibers. In this case, the second cleaning pile is a synthetic fiber bristle mix, for example, with a mixture of synthetic and natural bristles or synthetic fibers. Different bristle heights are also possible.
[0027] By mixing the different types of bristles, the second cleaning pile becomes more versatile and has a better storage capacity for loosened dirt. Synthetic bristles can be straight bristles made of chemical fibers, for example polyamide, especially nylon 6 (PA6), Perlon (PA66 / nylon 6.6) and PA 6.12 (nylon 6.12). Bristles made of polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride bristles or polyester bristles can also be used, although all other materials that are used, for example, for the production of dirt removal brushes can also be used. A so-called polyblend can also be used as a material, i.e. a compound of two or more of the aforementioned, mutually compatible polymers. Plastic fibers and bristles are also preferably made from recycled material or from a compound with the highest possible recycling content.
[0028] Furthermore, both the first cleaning pile and the second cleaning pile can be made of or contain naturally occurring materials. For example, natural bristles made from relatively thick, stiff animal hair, such as wild pigs or domestic pigs, or fibers from plant products, such as coconut fibers, can be used for the second cleaning pile. However, natural fibers do not necessarily have to be of animal origin; fibers of plant origin, such as linen or hemp fibers, wood fibers, algae fibers or milk protein fibers as synthetically produced fibers from the milk protein casein are also possible. The finer fibers, e.g. the algae or milk protein fibers mentioned above, are of course essentially suitable for the first cleaning pile, while the stiffer fibers are for the second cleaning pile.
[0029] The fibers mentioned can also be used in conjunction with all other applications for cleaning surfaces in the household or garden area without the special features of the combination of the wiper plate with the wiper cover described here.
[0030] Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments with reference to the drawings.
[0031] In the drawings shows: Fig. 1 a three-dimensional view of a combination of mop cover and wiper plate according to the invention, Fig. 2 the wiper plate of the Figure 1 shown combination in a three-dimensional representation without mop cover, Fig. 3, which in Figure 2 shown wiper plate in a view from the narrow side to the underside, Fig. 4, which in Figure 2 and Figure 3shown wiper plate in a view from the long side to the underside Fig. 5a view of the wiper plate shown in the previous figures from the left side, Fig. 6the in Figure 1 shown combination in a view of the long side, Fig. 7 the mop cover of the Figures 1 and 6 shown combination in a view from above. Fig. 8which in the Figures 2 to 5 shown wiper plate in a view from below, Fig. 9 the wiper cover after Figure 7 in a view from below and Fig. 10 another embodiment of a two-part wiper plate for a combination according to the invention. In Figure 1 an inventive combination of a wiper plate and a mop cover is shown. The wiper plate has a joint adapter 2 in the center, at the upper end of which a handle holder 1 is pivotally mounted. A handle for moving the wiper plate can be releasably attached to this handle holder 1. Ultimately, however, this is not important for the present invention. The wiper plate shown here is designed in two parts, with a first plate wing 3 and a second plate wing 4 being pivotally attached to the joint adapter 2 via a first pivot axis 6 and a second pivot axis 5. In the position of use shown, the plate wings 3, 4 form a flat surface with their underside, which is moved manually by the user along the floor to be cleaned.
[0032] A mop cover is stretched over the wiper plate. To hold the mop cover on the wiper plate, the mop cover has fastening means 10 in the form of insertion pockets on both sides, into which one end of the plate wings 3, 4 can be inserted. To thread the plate wings 3, 4 and to remove the mop cover from the wiper plate, the plate wings 3, 4, which are secured in the orientation shown by means 7 for securing the plate wings, can be released so that they fold down after the handle is lifted, and the insertion pockets slide off the plate wings 3, 4.
[0033] In the Figures 2, 3, 4 and 5 is the wiper plate of the combination according to the invention, as shown in Figure 1is shown, without the mop cover, reproduced from different angles. For the purposes of the present invention, the underside of the wiper plate is of particular interest. Since the plate wings 3, 4 of the wiper plate are injection-molded products, this has a ribbed structure so that the wiper plate can have any desired appearance on the upper side, although this is usually smooth, and the described ribbed structure on the underside. In the context of the present application, underside means the virtual plane defined by the frame regions of the ribbed structure. The individual ribs of the ribbed structure can extend to the plane of this underside.
[0034] However, according to the invention, an area is now provided that serves as a pressure surface 8. These are individual ribs that project downwards beyond the plane of the virtual underside. This is best seen in the Figure 5visible. All ribs can be provided as pressure surfaces 8, or just some of these ribs or just sections of ribs. Preferably, at least one, but more preferably several, of the transversely extending ribs, i.e., the ribs that run parallel to the long sides of the plate wings 3, 4, are designed as pressure surfaces 8, so that these ribs protrude downward beyond the plane of the virtual underside, which here is spanned by the surrounding frame of the wiper plate.
[0035] Particularly if the underside of the wiper plate is to be smooth, these pressure surfaces 8 can also be designed as edges or raised areas protruding from the surface. The essential function is simply to ensure that the wiper plate has pressure areas 8 extending transversely, particularly longitudinally, that protrude above the plane of the remaining parts of the underside, so that the wiper plate rests on the floor via the pressure areas.
[0036] If a wiper cover is stretched onto the wiper plate, as shown in Figure 1As shown, this will have elastic areas into which the raised pressure areas 8, seen from below, can be pressed. This can mean, for example, that with light pressure, e.g., the gravity of the mop, the mop cover rests flatly on the floor without any point-like or linear pressure marks. Only when the user increases the pressure will increased pressure occur regionally below the pressure areas 8. However, for the implementation of the invention, it is not necessary for there to be a flat contact area with uniform contact pressure in the unloaded state.
[0037] What is new is the fact that the mop cover has different functional areas, which are adapted in size and position to the pressure surfaces 8 of the mop cover. A mop cover for implementing the invention is described in the Figures 7 and Figure 9The coordinated mop cover has at least one of the following areas: a liquid and dirt absorption area 9 and a dirt removal area 11. Figure 9 shows an example of such a mop cover. In Figure 7 The functionally important parts of the wiper plate, namely the plate wings 3,4 and the joint adapter 2, are shown in dashed lines.
[0038] From the Figures 10 and 11, the inventive interaction between the individual areas of the wiper cover and the underside of the wiper plate can be seen. The wiper cover consists primarily of the liquid and dirt absorption area 9. Embedded or attached is a dirt removal area 11, which here is formed by two individual areas. These two individual areas of the dirt removal area 11 are each located after attachment to the wiper plate. Figure 10 under one of the two plate wings 3,4.
[0039] The wiper plate has a ribbed structure on its underside. The lower plane of the underside is spanned or defined by the outer edge of the plate wings 3, 4. The ribs project downwards relative to the plane of the underside spanned by the outer edge, as in, for example, Figure 5 This means that the wiper plate shown here, when unfolded and resting on the floor, would only rest on the ribs.
[0040] If the mop cover is used according to Figure 9 When clamped onto the wiper plates as shown in the figure, the individual areas of the dirt removal area 11 are located below the ribs forming the pressure surfaces 8. In order to ensure that this is achieved despite the inherent elasticity and the elasticity in the mounting of the wiper cover over the Figure 7To ensure the correct movement of the wiper blades using the fastening means 10 shown, the sections of the dirt-removal area 11 are wider than the ribs. When wiping back and forth, this elasticity will inevitably cause the wiper cover to be displaced a certain distance relative to the wiper plate. The greater width of the dirt-removal area 11 compensates for this.
[0041] Conversely, the dirt removal area 11 should also only be arranged in the area of the above-mentioned safety area required for the dirt removal function, since the remaining areas serve as liquid and dirt absorption area 9 and the absorption capacity of the mop cover should be as large as possible.
[0042] The new mop cover and the matching wiper plate optimize both the dirt removal function and the absorption capacity of the mop cover. To achieve this, the dirt removal area 11 is adapted to the expected degree of soiling to be removed or is designed universally to cover the largest possible area. The liquid and dirt absorption area 9 is ideally kept as precisely positioned as possible. A further optimization consists in adapting the shape and orientation of the ribs forming the pressure surfaces 8 to the expected soiling and the desired wiping direction for removing the soiling.
[0043] Furthermore, the ribs can also have elastic means on their undersides or be arranged on a lower area of the wiper plate that can be pushed upwards against a spring force. Both can prevent excessive pressing forces due to excessive pressure on the handle of the floor mop, particularly if the wiper plate has travel limiters on the underside in the form of small projections located below the liquid and dirt absorption area 9 and defining the minimum distance of the non-sprung part of the wiper plate from the floor. Elastic means on the ribs can be rubber-elastic lips arranged on the ribs in the manner of a squeegee lip, particularly in two-component injection molding.
[0044] In the Figure 9In the embodiment shown, parts of the dirt removal area 11 are aligned parallel to the main wiping direction, which in this case is the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the mop cover. However, two individual areas of the dirt removal area 11 are aligned perpendicular to these parts, i.e., parallel to the narrow sides. This allows the user to use the dirt removal function in all wiping directions.
[0045] Compared to a combination of wiper plate and wiper cover, which only partially provides increased pressure, as initially acknowledged in connection with the prior art, the invention can provide a significantly greater cleaning and dirt removal effect in a single pass over a dirty area. It is particularly interesting in this regard that the Figure 9The variant of the invention shown essentially has no preferred direction for the dirt removal function, thus eliminating operating errors. Although the dirt removal function is greater when the wiper plate is moved perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, this is the direction in which the user typically moves the wiper plate anyway. The provision of a dirt removal area 11 arranged perpendicular to the narrow side also allows dirt to be removed when the wiper plate is moved with the narrow side first, for example, into a narrow niche.
[0046] Finally, it is also possible to arrange the pressure surfaces 8 movably on the wiper plate and to move them, via a handle arranged particularly on the handle of the floor cleaning device or via a foot pedal, into the position in which they protrude downwards from the underside of the wiper plate. Such a solution is described in Figure 10 shown schematically.
[0047] The wiper plate of the Figure 10 The schematically shown combination is constructed in two parts, with an upper wiper plate 13 and a lower wiper plate 14. Both partial wiper plates, namely the upper wiper plate 13 and the lower wiper plate 14, together form the wiper plate described above, but are movable relative to each other at least in a direction perpendicular to the floor to be wiped. The actuating mechanism and the guide are not shown here. A transverse movement with a guide that, in addition to the transverse movement, causes a movement in a direction perpendicular to the floor would also be possible.
[0048] The upper wiper plate 13 has pressure surfaces 8 on its underside, which here essentially correspond to the Figure 4 or 8shown pressure surfaces 8. However, the shape and composition of the pressure surfaces 8 are to be understood only as exemplary embodiments. Alternatively, the pressure surfaces 8 can also be a plurality of ribs, for example, parallel to the narrow sides of the wiper plate or curved. Here, the stem 1 is guided through a central passage in the upper wiper plate 13 and is gimballed in the joint adapter 2 provided on the upper side of the lower wiper plate 12.
[0049] An alternative embodiment may, for example, consist of a movable support plate for the pressure surfaces 8 being provided on the wiper plate, which can be mounted on one side of the wiper plate via a joint. To activate the pressure surfaces 8, the support plate is then pivoted downward, so that it penetrates the wiper plate with the downwardly projecting pressure surfaces 8. It can be held in the upper, inactive position by spring means and in the lower, active position by releasable locking means.
[0050] Another embodiment uses one or more support plates that can be moved perpendicular to the surface of the wiper plate. This alternative is similar to the Figure 10shown, except that the support plate does not necessarily have to be an upper wiper plate, but can only cover part of the wiper plate. Several support plates can also be provided, for example support plates arranged on both sides of the stem 1, which can be activated separately or via common actuating means. Here too, spring means can hold the support plate in an upper position and locking means can hold the support plate in the active position. Finally, the pressure surfaces 8 can also be activated by a displacement of the support plate in the horizontal transverse direction relative to the wiper plate. This can be achieved, for example, via a ramp guide or tilting elements, so that the transverse movement of the support plate also displaces the pressure surfaces 8 in a direction perpendicular to the transverse movement and thus pushes them through openings 17 in the wiper plate into the active position.
[0051] The lower wiper plate 12 has in the Figure 10 In the exemplary embodiment shown, the pressure surfaces 8 have passages 14 at the locations corresponding to the position of the pressure surfaces 8, through which passages the pressure surfaces 8 protrude after the upper wiper plate 13 has been lowered onto the upper side of the lower wiper plate 12, the pressure surfaces 8 being arranged on or formed by protruding webs which are too high for the pressure surfaces 8 to protrude from the plane of the underside of the lower wiper plate 12 after the upper wiper plate 13 and the lower wiper plate 12 have been joined together.
[0052] If the mop cover is to be held on the wiper plate by means of hook and loop fasteners, as described in EP 3 251 575 A1, which is incorporated into the present description by this reference, it is recommended to provide the hook and loop fasteners on the pressure surfaces 8 and to select the pressure surfaces 8 and the path of relative mobility between the upper wiper plate 13 and the lower wiper plate 12 so large that, on the one hand, the pressure surfaces 8 protrude from the plane of the lower wiper plate 12 in the assembled position of both wiper plates 12, 13 and, on the other hand, the pressure surfaces 8 then holding the mop cover can be retracted by pulling up the upper wiper plate 13 and / or pressing down the lower wiper plate 12 so that the hook and loop fastener is released and the mop cover can be thrown off without contact.
[0053] The two-part wiper plate described above can be actuated, as described in EP 3 251 575 A1, via a handle arranged on the handle of the mop, by rotating the handle relative to the wiper plate with a corresponding guide rail for converting the rotary movement into the translatory movement or, as is known from the activation of the hard floor brushes on the floor nozzle of a vacuum cleaner, via a foot pedal on the wiper plate.
