Description

[0001] The invention relates to a fall protection device, a roof safety system and a use of a fall protection device for securing a work area on a roof.

[0002] It is known that technical systems such as air conditioning and ventilation systems, photovoltaic systems and thermal solar systems or lightning protection and antenna systems are located on flat roofs of buildings.

[0003] Such technical systems are operated, for example, on commercial properties, for example, but not exclusively, on office buildings, hotels, shops, warehouses, production facilities, sports halls or event halls.

[0004] For the installation and maintenance of technical systems, especially photovoltaic systems, on a roof, it is necessary for qualified personnel to access the roof area. For this purpose, maintenance routes must be secured, for example with fall protection devices. These devices protect all persons in the area at risk of falling as a collective protection system, for example in the form of railings, or as an individual protection system for an individual person. On the one hand, fall protection devices can prevent a fall, for example by means of a barrier, especially a railing. On the other hand, fall protection devices can catch people in the event of a fall, in particular by means of a rail or rope safety system in combination with personal protective equipment, such as a full body harness with an energy absorber. Personal protective equipment cannot generally be used without prior instruction and must be adapted to the respective user.

[0005] Collective protection systems, especially railings or edge protection systems, are partially visible on a building and influence its overall visual appearance. Furthermore, installed collective protection systems cast shadows on installed technical systems, such as photovoltaic or solar thermal systems.

[0006] Typically, the various components arranged on a roof surface, such as technical systems or fall protection systems, are individually attached to the roof surface. For this purpose, flat roofs are provided with roof penetration fastenings, which involve drilling holes into the surface coverings and the roof structure for anchoring.

[0007] It is an object of the present invention to simplify a fall protection and a roof safety system with regard to assembly and use while ensuring cost efficiency and safety.

[0008] It is an object of the present invention to provide simple and flexible protection for persons against falling, in particular from a roof.

[0009] The object is achieved by a fall protection device for securing a work area, in particular on a roof, wherein the fall protection device has a movable, in particular mobile, frame with a railing for separating the work area from a danger zone, wherein the fall protection device has a guide rail for guiding the frame, wherein the frame is operatively connected to the guide rail and the frame is positively guided by means of the guide rail, wherein the frame is movable substantially in a horizontal direction of movement.

[0010] The invention is based on the fundamental idea that a movable railing is used to demarcate and secure a work area, in particular on the roof of a building, in particular a flat roof. A movable, positively guided frame has a railing, so that a work area protected by the railing and a danger area are separated. The work area for a person can be displaced by moving the movable frame, in particular by moving a mobile frame. The respective position of the frame determines the respective position of the work area, for example on a roof, in particular a flat roof of a building. The possible positions of the frame are determined by the arrangement of the guide rail. In addition, the guide rail is advantageously attached to a roof, so that the railing is also attached.

[0011] The fall protection system according to the invention enables the securing of a work area for people, particularly on a flat roof, with minimal structural effort. This serves, for example, for the efficient and cost-effective installation and / or maintenance of systems installed on a roof, e.g., photovoltaic or solar thermal systems. Due to the mobility of the frame with the railing, the roof area is only slightly shaded, specifically where the railing is positioned. Minimal shading, for example, increases the yield of a photovoltaic or solar thermal system.

[0012] A railing is, in particular, a side protection device, wherein, in particular, a side protection device is a temporary railing. In one embodiment, the railing is designed as a parapet, wherein, in particular, a parapet has a closed, in particular solid, wall panel.

[0013] Advantageously, the railing is vertically oriented, particularly in a working position. In particular, the railing has a longitudinal extension, particularly at least partially, in the direction of movement of the frame. The railing is preferably designed as a grid or grid-like.

[0014] Preferably, the frame is movable along the guide rail in a horizontal direction and / or is guided essentially horizontally. In particular, the frame is movable in several essentially horizontal directions. This is the case, for example, if the guide rail has a curve or is guided around a corner.

[0015] In one embodiment, the frame is positively guided by precisely or exclusively a single guide rail, wherein, in particular, the precisely one guide rail comprises several guide rail segments arranged one behind the other in a longitudinal direction. Preferably, the guide rail is detachably or permanently attached to a roof, in particular a flat roof, or to a building wall. In another embodiment, the fall protection device has several guide rails.

[0016] The movable frame is preferably manually movable, in particular hand-operated. Alternatively, a drive is provided for the movement of the frame, in particular in the horizontal direction.

[0017] Furthermore, it is advantageously provided that the guide rail has a longitudinal extension, wherein the longitudinal extension is oriented substantially horizontally, wherein in particular the guide rail is a linear guide rail. A horizontal, longitudinally extending guide rail enables reliable movement in the horizontal direction of movement of the frame and thus of the railing. In particular, the frame is positively guided along the longitudinal extension of the guide rail.

[0018] The guide rail is preferably a linear guide, in particular a straight or curved one. Advantageously, a guide rail has a curvature or a curved section, for example so that the frame can be moved in several horizontal directions of movement or the frame executes a curved movement. For example, a curved or bent guide rail enables forced guidance of the frame to travel around a corner, e.g. a roof corner. Advantageously, the guide rail has a 90-degree curvature or a curved section in at least one section. In one embodiment, the guide rail is annular and / or has a closed, circumferential design. In this way, for example, a guide rail is provided circumferentially around a roof surface. It is preferably provided that the frame can be moved along a closed movement path, in particular by being forced by the guide rail.

[0019] In one embodiment, the railing is arranged, at least partially, parallel to the guide rail.

[0020] Advantageously, the guide rail is arranged at a predetermined distance laterally, in particular horizontally offset, from the frame.

[0021] In particular, the railing is spaced horizontally from the guide rail. In one embodiment, the railing is spaced horizontally from the guide rail.

[0022] Furthermore, reliable mobility of the frame and thus easy operation of the fall protection system is achieved if the frame has at least one roller for moving the frame. In particular, the frame has at least two rollers, and the at least two rollers are equally spaced from the guide rail and spaced apart from each other in the direction of movement of the frame. The fact that the rollers run one behind the other in the direction of movement allows for symmetrical loading of the substructure, in particular the roof, and the guide rail.

[0023] In particular, the frame has at least two rollers, which increases the stability of the frame. In particular, the at least two rollers are arranged on an imaginary line running parallel to the guide rail.

[0024] In one embodiment, the at least one roller is designed to run in the guide rail, which is designed as a guide rail. In another embodiment, the at least one roller is designed to run in a track that is not formed by the guide rail. In this embodiment, the guide rail is not designed to directly guide the roller. The at least one roller is positively guided indirectly, rather than directly, by the guide rail.

[0025] Furthermore, it is advantageously provided that the frame is connected to the guide rail by means of at least one connecting device, wherein in particular the at least one connecting device comprises a rail carriage configured to run on the guide rail and / or wherein in particular the at least one connecting device, in particular the respective rail carriage, is detachably attached to the guide rail. A connecting device enables a reliable and secure connection between the frame and the guide rail. If the connecting device is detachable, simple assembly and disassembly is also possible.

[0026] In particular, a rail carriage has at least two, in particular at least four, carriage rollers, wherein the carriage rollers are advantageously designed to run on the guide rail. In particular, a rail carriage is a movable machine element in a sliding guide, wherein in one embodiment, the guide rail has a sliding guide. In embodiments, the rail carriage is a carriage, a roller carriage, or a trolley.

[0027] Advantageously, the frame is positively guided along a longitudinal extension of the guide rail by means of the connecting device, in particular by means of the rail carriage. Preferably, the connecting device, in particular the rail carriage, is designed to complement the guide rail in terms of shape and / or function. In particular, the connecting device, in particular the rail carriage, has a running profile that complements the shape of a guide rail.

[0028] Furthermore, for better stability and handling of the fall protection device, it is provided that the frame has at least one spacing cross member for spacing the railing, in particular horizontally, from the guide rail, wherein the at least one spacing cross member has a first end facing the guide rail and a second end facing the railing, wherein the first end of the at least one spacing cross member is fastened to at least one of the at least one connecting device by means of a first fastening device, wherein in particular the at least one spacing cross member is designed such that a distance between the railing and the guide rail is adjustable and / or that the at least one spacing cross member has an adjustable length. The at least one spacing cross member is intended to space the railing from the guide rail, whereby the spacing cross member ensures an effective connection between the guide rail and the railing.

[0029] Advantageously, the respective second end of the at least one spacing cross member is fastened to the railing by means of a respective second fastening device.

[0030] A spacing crossbeam with an adjustable length or the adjustability of the distance between the railing and the spacing crossbeam enables flexible use and easy adaptation of the fall protection for different locations. Where there is a lot of space available, the adjustable length or spacing can be increased, thus enlarging the working area and thus making it more comfortable. If there is only limited space at a location, for example due to other technical installations or one end of the roof, the adjustable length or spacing is reduced. Furthermore, it is intended that a railing can be used with different spacing crossbeams, in particular with spacing crossbeams of different lengths. The length of a spacing crossbeam is the longitudinal extent of a spacing crossbeam.

[0031] A fastening device, in particular a first or second fastening device, is in particular a screw device, a clamping device, or a plug-in device. In one embodiment, a fastening device is designed as a weld.

[0032] Advantageously, each roller is connected, particularly rigidly, to a spacing cross member and / or to the railing. In this context, "rigidly connected" refers to a connection such that the roller can only rotate around the roller axis.

[0033] Furthermore, the frame has at least two, in particular two, spacing cross members, wherein the spacing cross members are spaced apart from one another in the direction of movement of the frame, wherein in particular the spacing cross members are arranged parallel to one another and / or perpendicular to the guide rail. Two spacing cross members increase the stability of the fall protection device and the mobility of the frame.

[0034] In one embodiment, at least two spacing cross members are provided. Advantageously, two spacing cross members are arranged between two rollers. In particular, two rollers are arranged on opposite sides of two spacing cross members.

[0035] Advantageously, the at least one spacing cross member is arranged substantially horizontally.

[0036] Furthermore, more comfortable usability for uneven roof surfaces results if the at least one connecting device has one, in particular first, swivel joint and the respective, in particular the respective first, swivel joint is connected to the frame, in particular to at least one of the at least one spacing cross members, and / or that the frame has at least one, in particular second, swivel joint and at least one of the at least one spacing cross members is connected to the railing by means of one, in particular second, swivel joint.

[0037] In particular, a fastening device, in particular a first fastening device and / or a second fastening device, is designed as a pivot joint. Advantageously, a pivot joint is designed such that the respective spacing cross member is rotatable about precisely one axis of rotation, wherein, in particular, the axis of rotation runs parallel to the guide rail.

[0038] Furthermore, the ease of use of the fall protection system and the stability of the frame are further improved if the railing has a base section at a lower end and a support section at an upper end, with the at least one spacing cross member being attached to the base section of the railing. In this way, the at least one spacing cross member is attached to a lower section of the railing. The proximity of the spacing cross member to the roof surface minimizes the risk of tripping for users and ensures occupational safety.

[0039] In another embodiment, at least one spacing cross member is attached to the support section. The spacing cross members thus provide additional protection and / or demarcation of a danger zone in addition to the railing.

[0040] Furthermore, for more flexible installation, it is provided that the at least one spacing cross member is detachably attached to one of the at least one connecting device, in particular to the respective rail carriage. Thus, the frame, in particular the railing, is detachably attached to the guide rail. In another embodiment, the railing is detachably attached to at least one spacing cross member.

[0041] In a further embodiment, the guide rail, in particular at one end of the guide rail, has a locking device for locking the movement of a connecting device, in particular a rail carriage. In particular, the locking device is designed such that the connecting device remains on the guide rail when the frame moves. Advantageously, the locking device is detachably attached to the guide rail. A detachable attachment enables easy removal of the locking device and thus easy removal of the connecting device including the frame. In particular, the guide rail has a locking device at each of its two ends.

[0042] Furthermore, it is advantageously provided that the railing is hinged and / or foldable, in particular about a horizontal axis. In particular, the height of the railing is adjustable. This results in the advantage that the railing, when folded and / or retracted, does not cast a shadow on adjacent parts of the roof surface. This is particularly useful for photovoltaic or solar thermal systems. In another embodiment, the frame is hinged and / or foldable.

[0043] Furthermore, greater occupational safety is achieved if the working area is demarcated or can be demarcated from a danger zone by means of the railing along the direction of movement of the frame and / or if a working area is demarcated or can be demarcated from a, in particular a second, danger zone by means of the railing transverse to the direction of movement of the frame.

[0044] In particular, the railing has several railing sections, wherein the railing separates the working area from the danger zone on several sides. Advantageously, the railing has a parallel railing section aligned parallel to the guide rail, wherein the railing in particular has at least one, in particular two, vertical railing sections aligned perpendicular to the guide rail. Advantageously, the holding section of the railing has at least one parallel railing section and at least one vertical railing section. In another embodiment, the railing is arranged parallel to the guide rail.

[0045] In one embodiment, the railing has a railing door. In particular, the railing door is designed as a railing gate or the like. This allows a user to pass through the railing, for example, to enter a danger zone. For this purpose, the user is advantageously secured with a safety system other than the fall protection device according to the invention. Advantageously, the railing door is self-closing and / or provided with a locking device. In particular, the locking device is a closing device. Advantageously, the railing door is arranged parallel to the direction of movement of the frame. In another embodiment, the railing door is arranged transversely to the direction of movement of the frame.

[0046] Furthermore, the stability of the fall protection device is increased if at least one of the at least one roller has a locking device for locking the roller. The stability of the fall protection device is also increased if at least one of the at least one connecting device has a locking device for locking the connecting device to the guide rail. In particular, a rail carriage has a locking device.

[0047] A locking device, in particular on a roller and / or on a connecting device, temporarily fixes the frame and thus the railing in a position so that the working area is defined for a predetermined period of time.

[0048] Furthermore, the fall protection device has a rail holding device for the guide rail, and the guide rail is held by the rail holding device. In particular, the rail holding device is designed to permanently or detachably connect the guide rail to a roof system, in particular a photovoltaic roof system for installing photovoltaic modules on a roof, in particular a flat roof. The fall protection device can be coupled to a roof by means of a rail holding device. This further increases safety and comfort during use.

[0049] A rooftop system is a structure mounted on a roof for a technical installation, particularly a technical building technology system. In particular, a rooftop system is a rooftop photovoltaic system, a rooftop cooling system, a rooftop solar thermal system, or a rooftop elevator system.

[0050] A rail holding device adapted to a roof system is particularly advantageous. In particular, the rail holding device is designed to permanently or detachably fasten the guide rail to a roof system.

[0051] Furthermore, the object is achieved by a roof safety system for securing persons on a roof, in particular a flat roof, with a fall protection device described above, wherein the guide rail of the fall protection device is arranged on the roof, wherein in particular the guide rail is fastened to a roof system arranged on the roof, in particular a photovoltaic roof system for installing photovoltaic modules. The photovoltaic roof system for installing photovoltaic modules is in particular a mounting frame for installing photovoltaic modules.

[0052] Furthermore, the roof safety system is designed according to the features described above. To avoid unnecessary repetition, reference is made to the above explanations.

[0053] In some embodiments, the roof safety system comprises, in addition to the fall protection described above, further components for securing a roof surface, for example further collective safety systems or individual protection systems.

[0054] According to the invention, the guide rail of the fall protection device is arranged on the roof. In particular, the guide rail is connected to the roof, advantageously detachably and / or permanently attached to the roof. In one embodiment, the fall protection device is connected to the roof by means of a rail retaining device.

[0055] Advantageously, a guide bracket of the fall protection system is detachably and / or permanently attached to a roof system arranged on the roof. In particular, the roof system is designed with a receiving unit for receiving the guide bracket.

[0056] Finally, the object is achieved by using a fall protection device as described above to secure a work area on a roof, in particular on a flat roof.

[0057] The use combines the advantages and features described for fall protection, so that in order to avoid repetition, reference is made to the above explanations.

[0058] Further features of the invention will become apparent from the description of embodiments of the invention together with the claims and the accompanying drawings. Embodiments of the invention may incorporate individual features or a combination of several features.

[0059] Within the scope of the invention, features marked with "in particular" or "preferably" are to be understood as optional features.

[0060] The invention is described below, without limiting the general inventive concept, using exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawings, whereby express reference is made to the drawings for all details of the invention not explained in more detail in the text. They show: Fig. 1 is a schematic, perspective view of a first exemplary embodiment of a roof safety system, Fig. 2 is a first schematic, side view of the first exemplary embodiment of the roof safety system, Fig. 3 is a second schematic, side view of the first exemplary embodiment of the roof safety system, Fig. 4 is a third schematic, side view of the first exemplary embodiment of the roof safety system, Fig. 5 is a partially schematic view of the first exemplary embodiment of the roof safety system, Fig. 6 is a schematic, perspective view of a second exemplary embodiment of a fall protection device, and Fig. 7 is a partially schematic, perspective view of a third exemplary embodiment of a fall protection device.

[0061] In the drawings, identical or similar elements and / or parts are provided with the same reference numbers, so that a repeated presentation is omitted.

[0062] Fig. 1 shows a schematic, perspective view of a first embodiment of a roof securing system 100, which is mounted on a flat roof 32 of a building (cf. Fig. 4 ). The roof safety system 100 comprises a roof system 90, which is designed as a photovoltaic roof system 92, and a fall protection device 20. The photovoltaic roof system 92 comprises a plurality of photovoltaic modules 94.

[0063] In Fig. 2 is that in Fig. 1The first exemplary embodiment of a roof safety system 100 is shown schematically from the side. A roof system 90, designed as a photovoltaic roof system 92, on which photovoltaic modules 94 are mounted, is connected to a fall protection device 20.

[0064] The fall protection device 20 has a frame 40 comprising a railing 80 and a guide rail 60. The railing 80 separates a work area 22 from a danger zone 24. The user 26 stands in the work area 22 and is protected by the railing 80 from falling into the danger zone 24.

[0065] The frame 40 includes two rollers 42, which facilitate manual movement of the frame 40. The frame 40 is positively guided by a guide rail 60. The guide rail 60 is attached to the roof system 90.

[0066] To limit the range of movement of the frame 40, which is positively guided by the guide rail 60, the guide rail 60 has a locking device 64 at each of its ends. The locking devices 64 are designed to prevent the frame 40 from moving beyond the locking device 64. As a result, the frame 40 is secured on the guide rail 60. For disassembly of the fall protection device 20, in one embodiment, the locking devices 64 are releasably attached to the guide rail 60, so that the frame can be separated from the guide rail 60 without opening the connecting devices 70.

[0067] The fall protection device 20 comprises a frame 40 and a guide rail 60, which are connected by means of a connecting device 70. The connecting device 70 is designed as a rail carriage 72. The guide rail 60 is fastened to the roof system 90 by means of a rail holding device 62, with further details on this fastening in Figure 5 are shown.

[0068] A user 26 stands between the railing 80 and the photovoltaic modules 94 in a work area 22. The frame 40 including the railing 80 is perpendicular to the plane of the drawing of Fig. 2 movable.

[0069] The frame 40 has the railing 80, a roller 42, and a spacing cross member 44. The spacing cross member 44 comprises a first end 46 and a second end 47, with the second end 47 being connected to the railing 80. The roller 42 is also arranged at the second end 47 of the spacing cross member 44. The spacing cross member 44 is attached to the railing 80 in a base section 84. The upper section of the railing 80, which protects the user 26 from falling into the danger zone 24, is the holding section 82.

[0070] A first rotary joint 74 is arranged between the spacing cross member 44 and the connecting device 70 at the first end 46 of the spacing cross member 44, so that the spacing cross member can be rotated about exactly one axis.

[0071] In Fig. 3 is the same first embodiment of a roof securing system 100 in a side view perpendicular to the perspective of Figure 2 shown.

[0072] The user 26 is depicted behind a railing 80, positioned within a protected work area 22. The railing 80 has an upper support section 82 and a lower base section 84. Two spacing cross members 44 are connected to the railing 80 in the lower base section 84, with one of the rollers 42 being provided on each spacing cross member 44.

[0073] The spacing cross members 44 connect and space the railing from the guide rail 60, which is attached to the roof system 90 designed as a photovoltaic roof system 92. In the right part of the image of Figure 3 an interruption is shown with jagged lines.

[0074] Fig. 4 shows a similar view as Fig. 2, where no user 26 is shown. Instead, a working area 22 is shown with hatched lines. On the other side of the railing 80, the danger zone 24 is located. Furthermore, Fig. 4 a roof 30 designed as a flat roof 32, which has an attic 96, is shown with different hatching.

[0075] Furthermore, the railing 80 has an axis 86 about which the railing 80 can be folded. This reduces the height of the railing 80, which is particularly useful when the railing 80 is not needed to protect a user 26, and reduces the shading of the photovoltaic modules 94 by the railing 80.

[0076] Furthermore, Fig. 4 the same components that are already in Fig. 2were presented: The frame 40 has a roller 42 and a spacing cross member 44. The spacing cross member 44 is connected by means of a first pivot joint 74 to a connecting device 70 designed as a rail carriage 72. The rail carriage 72 is designed to run on the guide rail 60, so that the frame 40 can be moved perpendicular to the plane of the drawing, guided by the guide rail 60.

[0077] In Fig. 5 a section of the first embodiment of a roof securing system 100, namely the attachment of the frame 40 to the guide rail 60 and the attachment of the guide rail 60 to the roof system 90, is shown in more detail.

[0078] A first pivot joint 74 is attached to the first end 46 of the spacing cross member 44. The first pivot joint 74 is connected by two screws to a connecting device 70 designed as a rail carriage 72. The rail carriage 72 has two rail carriage rollers 76. In another embodiment, the rail carriage 72 has four rail carriage rollers 76.

[0079] The rail carriage rollers 76 run on the guide rail 60. The guide rail 60 serves to positively guide the rail carriage 72 and the frame 40 connected to it.

[0080] The guide rail 60 is connected to a roof system 90 by means of a rail holding device 62. In this exemplary embodiment, the roof system 90 is a photovoltaic roof system 92, which has support supports for placing photovoltaic modules 94 on a flat roof 32. The rail holding device 62 is screwed onto such a support support of the photovoltaic roof system 92.

[0081] Fig. 6 shows a schematic, perspective view of a second embodiment of a fall protection device 20. In this embodiment, the fall protection device 20 has two guide rails 60 that are attached to a flat roof 32 (not shown in detail). For example, the guide rails 60 are directly inserted into or attached to a bitumen-containing roof surface.

[0082] The frame 40 is operatively connected to the guide rails 60 by means of four rollers 42 and is positively guided by the positive guidance of the rollers 42 in the guide rails 60. The frame 40 is essentially movable in a horizontal direction of movement, which is predetermined by the guide rails 60. The guide rails 60 are designed as running rails in this embodiment. In addition, the guide rails 60 are provided for directly guiding the rollers 42. In Fig. 6 three rollers 42 are shown, with a fourth roller hidden behind the user 26.

[0083] Furthermore, as in the first embodiment of a roof safety system 100, the fall protection device 20 has two spacing cross members 44. In this embodiment, each spacing cross member 44 connects two rollers 42.

[0084] The positive guidance of the rollers 42 in the guide rails 60 is achieved, for example, by the dead weight of the frame 40 or by additional fixing devices provided on the rollers 42. Such fixing devices can be designed as connecting devices 70. In particular, it should be noted that the guide rails 60 are only shown schematically and, for example, have a predetermined depth, in particular a recess in the vertical direction.

[0085] In Fig. 7 A section of a third embodiment of a fall protection device 20 is shown in schematic, perspective form. The embodiment is similar to that shown in Fig. 1 to 5 illustrated first embodiment, but instead of the rollers 42, feet 54 are provided.

[0086] Accordingly, in this exemplary embodiment, the frame 40 comprises, in addition to a railing 80 and spacing cross members 44, two support feet 54. The spacing cross members 44 are connected by means of first pivot joints 74 to connecting devices 70 designed as rail slides 72. These fasten the frame 40 to the guide rail 60, which forcibly guides the frame 40 along a horizontal direction of movement.

[0087] To move the frame, the user 26 lifts it slightly, for example by means of the first pivot joints 74, moves it into position along the guide rail, and places it on the feet 54 in the new desired position.

[0088] All mentioned features, including those revealed solely in the drawings as well as individual features disclosed in combination with other features, are considered essential to the invention, both individually and in combination. Embodiments according to the invention may be fulfilled by individual features or a combination of several features. List of reference symbols
