Description

[0001] The present invention relates to an automatic drive for a revolving door and a revolving door with such an automatic drive.

[0002] Automatic drives for revolving doors, particularly for smoke and fire doors, typically have a reset device with an energy storage unit to reliably close the door even in the event of a power failure. When the door is opened, an energy storage unit (particularly in the form of a coil spring) is charged to provide the energy required to subsequently close the door. Such automatic drives always comprise an electric drive unit for opening and / or holding the door open, as well as a gearbox that couples this electric drive unit to an output shaft of the automatic drive. Until now, reset devices and associated non-electrical energy storage units always had to be specifically developed and manufactured for the respective revolving door drive.Due to the resulting low production numbers (especially compared to door closers), corresponding reset devices are relatively expensive and less extensively tested, which occasionally compromises their reliability.

[0003] Against this background, it is an object of the present invention to provide an automatic drive for a revolving door which is reliable and cost-effective.

[0004] This object is achieved by an automatic drive for a revolving door having the features of claim 1. Advantageous further developments for such an automatic drive can be found in the dependent claims.

[0005] According to the present invention, an automatic drive for a revolving door, in particular for a smoke and / or fire door, comprises an electric drive unit which, in the assembled state, is designed to actively pivot the revolving door from its closed position to its open position and / or to hold it in its open position, an at least single-stage, preferably multi-stage, in particular three-stage, gear which couples the electric drive unit to a rotatably mounted output shaft of the automatic drive, and a return device with a non-electrical energy storage device. The return device is designed, in the assembled state, to urge the revolving door towards its closed position. The non-electrical energy storage device is coupled to the output shaft via a component which is movable perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the output shaft. The last gear stage, whose driven gear is rotationally fixedly connected to the output shaft, is designed as a spur gear stage with at least one, in particular exactly one, intermediate gear.

[0006] The reset device is designed, in particular, similar to the reset device of a simple door closer. Such reset devices are well known to those skilled in the art and are particularly reliable and cost-effective. Until now, however, such reset devices acting perpendicular to the output shaft could not be used in automatic drives because, in terms of installation space, they were not compatible with the intended gear for coupling the electric drive unit to the output shaft. Designing the last gear stage as a spur gear stage with at least one, in particular precisely one, intermediate gear now makes it possible to create the installation space for the known (from simple door closers) and particularly reliable and cost-effective reset device acting perpendicular to the output shaft.Overall, this enables the creation of a particularly reliable and cost-effective automatic drive with a reset device, whereby the resulting automatic drive is also comparatively narrow.

[0007] Preferably, the driven gear of the last gear stage is connected to the output shaft via a spline to provide a rotationally fixed connection between the driven gear and the output shaft. Such a coupling of the driven gear of the last gear stage to the output shaft is particularly compact and robust.

[0008] Preferably, the movable component and the output shaft are coupled to each other via a rack and pinion gear, in which the movable component is provided with a rack section and the output shaft with a pinion. Such configurations can be easily formed from reliable and cost-effective parts of conventional door closers.

[0009] Preferably, the driven gear of the last gear stage has a central recess that is shaped in the opposite direction to the pinion, into which the pinion engages to form the spline between the driven gear of the last gear stage and the output shaft. Such an implementation of the spline between the driven gear of the last gear stage and the output shaft is particularly compact and robust.

[0010] Preferably, the central recess is formed in the neck of a central funnel-shaped projection of the driven gear of the last gear stage. Such a design enables a particularly compact and thus space-saving arrangement of the individual components of the automatic drive.

[0011] Preferably, the driven gear of the last gear stage is mounted relative to a housing of the automatic drive, in particular a gear housing, via a rolling bearing, in particular a ball bearing. Such a mounting of the driven gear of the last gear stage is particularly low-friction yet robust.

[0012] Preferably, the output shaft is mounted via at least one rolling bearing, in particular at least one needle bearing, opposite the same housing as the driven gear of the last gear stage. The or one of the, in particular two, rolling bearings of the output shaft and the rolling bearing of the driven gear of the last gear stage lie in one plane, with the rolling bearing of the driven gear of the last gear stage radially surrounding the rolling bearing of the output shaft. Such a mounting of the output shaft is particularly low-friction yet compact. The further implemented nesting of the corresponding rolling bearings results in a particularly compact and thus space-saving design.

[0013] Preferably, a sleeve is provided on the housing, in particular on a housing cover of the housing, which engages between the two rolling bearings. Such a design is particularly compact and robust.

[0014] The transmission preferably comprises a first gear stage configured as a belt drive stage. Furthermore, the transmission preferably comprises a middle gear stage arranged between the first gear stage and the last gear stage, which is configured as a spur gear stage, in particular a helical gear stage. A multi-stage transmission configured in this way enables a particularly efficient, yet quiet and reliable drive of the output shaft by the electric drive unit.

[0015] Preferably, the rotational axes of all gears and pinions of the transmission are aligned parallel to a motor axis of the electric drive unit and transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the direction of movement of the movable component. Such a design is particularly compact and robust.

[0016] The non-electrical energy storage device is preferably a mechanical energy storage device, which is designed in particular in the form of a helical spring acting axially on the movable component. Such a design can be formed from parts of conventional door closers and thus enables a particularly reliable and cost-effective construction of the automatic drive.

[0017] Preferably, the movable component is designed as a piston, which is axially movable, particularly with play, along a bore within an associated piston housing of the automatic drive. Such a design can be formed from parts of conventional door closers and thus enables a particularly reliable and cost-effective construction of the automatic drive.

[0018] Preferably, the movable component has an opening extending transversely to its direction of movement, through which the output shaft with the pinion is guided and into which the teeth of the rack section extend. Such a design can be formed from parts of conventional door closers, thus enabling a particularly reliable and cost-effective construction of the automatic drive.

[0019] The rack section is preferably irregular, in particular wave-shaped, or uniform, in particular straight, in shape. An irregular and in particular wave-shaped design of the rack section enables the generation of particularly advantageous torque characteristics for an automatic drive intended to be used with a lever, a sliding block, and a slide rail for transmitting power to the door leaf. A uniform and in particular straight design of the rack section enables the generation of particularly advantageous torque characteristics for an automatic drive intended to be used with a linkage for transmitting power to the door leaf.

[0020] A revolving door according to the invention, in particular a smoke and / or fire door, comprises a door frame, a door leaf pivotably suspended relative to the door frame between a closed position and an open position, one of the previously described automatic drives, and a linkage or a lever with a sliding block and a sliding rail. The automatic drive is either fixed to the door frame and coupled to the door leaf via the linkage or the lever with the sliding block and the sliding rail, or fixed to the door leaf and coupled to the door frame via the linkage or the lever with the sliding block and the sliding rail.

[0021] Such a revolving door benefits from the advantages described above, which are achieved by the respective automatic drive.

[0022] Preferably, the non-electrical energy storage device of the return device is designed to be charged with energy by an opening movement of the door leaf, which is caused or at least supported by the electric drive unit, and to pivot the door leaf back into its closed position with the aid of the charged energy after it has been released.

[0023] The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 shows an automatic drive for a revolving door according to a first embodiment of the present invention without housing and panels from above; FIG. 2 shows the automatic drive from FIG. 1 from below; FIG. 3 the automatic drive FIG. 1 with illustrated housings and covers in a longitudinal section along the output shaft; FIG. 4 the automatic drive from FIG. 1with illustrated housings and covers in a cross-section at the level of the output shaft; FIG. 5 the automatic drive from FIG. 1 with mounted lever; FIG. 6 left the driven gear of the last gear stage, top right the output shaft with its pinion and bottom right the movable component of the automatic drive from FIG. 1 ; FIG. 7 a modification of the automatic drive from FIG. 1 with mounted rods; and FIG. 8 left the driven gear of the last gear stage, top right the output shaft with its pinion and bottom right the movable component of the automatic drive from FIG. 7 .

[0024] In the Figures 1 and 2 an automatic drive 1 for a revolving door, in particular for a smoke and / or fire door, is shown with housings and panels not shown.

[0025] The automatic drive 1 has an electric drive unit 3, which is coupled to an output shaft 7 via a gear 5. Furthermore, a reset device 9 is coupled to the output shaft 7. To control the electric drive unit 3, the automatic drive 1 further comprises a control unit 11. All of these components are mounted, in particular via housings, on a base body 13, which is designed to fasten the automatic drive 1 to a door leaf or a door frame of the respective revolving door.

[0026] The electric drive unit 3 comprises a brushless DC motor with a motor axis M (cf.: FIG. 3). The transmission 5 comprises three interconnected gear stages 15, 17 and 19. A drive shaft 21 of the electric drive unit 3, which is mounted so as to be rotatable about the motor axis M, is rotationally coupled to a pulley 25 via a belt 23 to form the first gear stage 15 in the form of a belt transmission stage. The belt 23 can in particular be designed as a toothed belt. The pulley 25 is rotationally fixedly connected to a first pinion 26, and both are mounted so as to be rotatable about a first axis of rotation R1. This first pinion 26 meshes with a first gear 27, which is mounted so as to be rotatable about a second axis of rotation R2, to form the second gear stage 17 in the form of a helical-toothed spur gear stage. The first gear 27 is rotationally fixedly coupled to a second pinion 29.To form the third and final gear stage 19, this second pinion 29 meshes with a straight-toothed intermediate gear 31, which itself meshes with a second gear 33. The intermediate gear 31 is rotatably mounted about a third rotational axis R3. The second gear 33 is rotatably mounted about a fourth rotational axis R4 via a rolling bearing 35 in the form of a ball bearing on a sleeve 37 of a housing cover of the gear housing 39.

[0027] The second gear 33 comprises a central funnel-shaped projection 41 (cf.: FIG. 4 ), in the neck of which a central recess 34 is formed, which is designed in the opposite direction to a pinion 43 formed on the output shaft 7 (cf.: FIG. 6 , 8). The second gear 33 is pushed onto the output shaft 7. The teeth of the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 on the side facing the second gear 33 are machined to reduce the tooth height (by machining) in order to create an axial stop for the second gear 33. Thus, the second gear 33 is rotationally fixedly coupled to the pinion 43 and consequently to the output shaft 7, forming a spline. The output shaft 7 is rotatably mounted relative to the gear housing 39 via a lower roller bearing and an upper roller bearing 45, each in the form of a needle bearing, so that a rotational axis A of the output shaft 7 coincides with the fourth rotational axis R4 (cf.: FIG. 3 ). The motor axis M, the rotation axes R1 to R3 and the rotation axis R4 or the rotation axis A are spaced apart from one another, in particular along a common plane, but aligned parallel to one another.

[0028] The lower roller bearing 45 of the output shaft 7 is provided on the previously described sleeve 37 of the gear housing 39 in the same plane (i.e. at the same height) as the roller bearing 35 of the second gear 33 (cf.: FIG. 4 ). Thus, the rolling bearing 35 of the second gear 33 surrounds the lower rolling bearing 45 of the output shaft 7, forming a particularly compact design. Alternatively, the rolling bearing 35 of the second gear 33 could also surround the upper rolling bearing 45 of the output shaft 7. The designations lower rolling bearing 45 and upper rolling bearing 45 refer to the FIG. 4 illustrated orientation of the automatic drive 1.

[0029] Due to this special design, a preferred housing height of 70 mm must be maintained.

[0030] In the embodiment described here, the second gear 33 functions as the driven gear of the last gear stage 19 within the meaning of the present invention. It should be noted that in a case where a transmission 5 with only a single gear stage is to be provided, this single gear stage would also be considered the last gear stage within the meaning of the present invention.

[0031] The drive shaft 21 of the electric drive unit 3 is rotationally fixedly coupled to the output shaft 7 via the gear 5 in a predetermined fixed transmission ratio, whereby the electric drive unit 3, when mounted on a revolving door, can actively pivot the door and / or hold it in a specific position, in particular in its open position.

[0032] In order to automatically pivot the revolving door into its closed position, the automatic drive 1 shown here includes the return device 9.

[0033] The specific structural design and functioning of this reset device 9 is described in more detail below.

[0034] How particularly good in FIG. 1 As can be seen, the reset device 9 implemented here comprises a movable component 49 and a mechanical, non-electrical energy storage device 51 in the form of a helical spring. One (left) end of the helical spring 51 is supported on a spring plate 53, the axial position of which can be adjusted via a worm gear 55. The other (right) end of the helical spring 51 presses against the movable component 49 perpendicular to the rotational axis A of the output shaft 7. The preload of the helical spring 51 can be adjusted via a screw movement on the worm gear 55.

[0035] The movable component 49 is designed in the present case as a piston or in the manner of a piston, which together with the coil spring 51 is located in a bore within a corresponding piston housing 57 (cf.: FIG. 3 ) is provided. The piston housing 57 is a piston housing 57 in which the movable component 49 is movably mounted perpendicular to the rotational axis A of the output shaft 7. The movable component 49 preferably has a clearance of 0.1 to 0.2 mm relative to the inner surface of the piston housing 57 and can be grease-lubricated. The control unit 11 is attached to the base body 13 via the piston housing 57.

[0036] To support the movable component 49, three roller-bearing rollers 59 are provided, arranged side by side along the axial direction of movement of the movable component 49 and aligned parallel to one another. The roller axes RA1 to RA3 of the roller-bearing rollers 59 are all aligned perpendicular to the axial direction of movement of the movable component 49 and are spaced apart from one another in a common plane. They are each rigidly connected to the gear housing 39 via a needle roller sleeve 60a and a corresponding cylindrical pin 60b (cf.: FIG. 4The radially encircling running surfaces 59a of the roller-bearing-mounted rollers 59 are each shaped in a manner diametrically opposed to a corresponding running surface 49a on the movable component 49 and bear against it. Specifically, the running surface 49a of the movable component 49 is convex transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the axial direction of movement of the movable component 49, and the running surfaces 59a of the roller-bearing-mounted rollers 59 are correspondingly concavely shaped. This enables a particularly reliable and stable mounting of the movable component 49.

[0037] As an alternative to the embodiment shown with three roller bearing mounted rollers 59 arranged in one plane, more or fewer roller bearing mounted rollers 59, which in particular do not necessarily have to be located in a single plane, can also be provided to support the movable component 49.

[0038] For coupling with the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7, the movable component 49 has an opening 61 through which the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 extends. The movable component 49 has an axially extending rack section 63 along the inner wall of this opening 61. The teeth of this rack section 63 are in permanent engagement with the teeth of the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 in order to couple the movable component 49, and thus the return device 9, to the output shaft 7 via a rack gear 65 thus formed.

[0039] The following describes the integration of the automatic drive 1 described above into a revolving door, in particular into a smoke and / or fire door.

[0040] A revolving door with a corresponding automatic drive 1 comprises a door frame and a door leaf pivotably suspended relative to the door frame. The door leaf can be pivoted between a closed position and an open position. The previously described automatic drive 1 is fixed or attached to one of the door frame and the door leaf via its base body 13. Depending on the specific application, either an upper or a lower end of the output shaft 7 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a first end 67a of a lever 67 (cf.: FIG. 5 ). The second end 67b of the lever 67 is rotatably coupled to a sliding block (not shown). Said sliding block is slidably mounted along a sliding rail (not shown), which is fixed or attached to the other of the door frame and the door leaf.

[0041] The functioning of the described automatic drive 1 in such a revolving door, in particular in a corresponding smoke and / or fire door, will now be briefly described.

[0042] Initially, the door leaf is in its closed position, thus closing the opening of the revolving door framed by the door frame. At this point, the automatic drive 1 is in the position shown in the Figures 1 to 3 shown condition.

[0043] In order to pass through the revolving door, the door leaf is pivoted from its closed position to its open position by a corresponding control of the electric drive unit 3. During this opening movement, the output shaft 7 rotates with its pinion 43 about the axis of rotation A. Via the rack and pinion gear 65 formed, which acts between the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 and the movable component 49, this rotary movement of the output shaft 7 results in a translational movement of the movable component 49 perpendicular to the axis of rotation A of the output shaft 7 (to the left in the Figures 1 to 3 ). This in turn leads to a compression of the coil spring 51 and thus to a charging of it with potential energy.

[0044] A driving force of the drive unit 3, which is generated for opening and / or subsequently keeping the revolving door open, is transmitted via the gear 5 to the output shaft 7.

[0045] As soon as the door leaf is released, in particular by the motor of the electric drive unit 3 no longer being energized, the coil spring 51, using the previously absorbed potential energy, pushes the movable component 49 perpendicular to the axis of rotation A of the output shaft 7 back into its original position (i.e. to the right into the Figures 1 to 3 ).

[0046] Due to the rack and pinion gear 65, this leads to a rotation of the output shaft 7 in the direction opposite to the previous rotation and thus to a pivoting of the door leaf back into its closed position.

[0047] The intermediate gear 31 of the last gear stage 19 of the transmission 5 creates the installation space required for the free movement of the movable component 49. In particular, the intermediate gear 31 enables the further gear stages 15 and 17 of the transmission 5 as well as the electric drive unit 3 to be moved away from the output shaft 7 (into the Figures 1 to 3to the right).

[0048] The roller bearings 59, on the other hand, serve to support the axially movable component 49 with as little friction as possible, yet still reliably. A rolling bearing is subject to less friction than a plain bearing.

[0049] This creates a particularly space-saving, reliable and cost-effective overall design.

[0050] In particular, the revolving door formed can be designed to open automatically each time the door is passed through and to close automatically again immediately. Such doors are known, for example, from hospitals, wherein a separate button can be provided to activate the electric drive unit 3 to open the revolving door. With such a configuration, the energy storage device 51 of the resetting device 9 is charged or tensioned each time the door is opened. When the door is closed, the motor of the drive unit 3 can be operated as a generator, thereby braking or dampening the closing movement. This eliminates the need for a separate damping hydraulic system. Before closing, the revolving door can, under certain circumstances, be held open for a predetermined period by the drive unit 3 or a holding device. It would also be conceivable for the drive unit 3 to hold the revolving door open permanently.

[0051] Finally, it should be noted that in the embodiment described above, the driven gear 33 of the last gear stage 19, the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 and the movable component 49 FIG. 6 shown configuration. Specifically, the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 is rotationally uneven. The recess 34 in the second gear 33 as well as the opening 61 with the rack section 63 in the movable component 49 are correspondingly uneven, in particular wave-shaped, designed. This specific design of the FIG. 6 The components shown are based on the FIG. 5The illustrated use of the automatic drive 1 in a revolving door with a lever 67 with a sliding block (not shown) and a sliding rail (not shown) is tailored. This irregular shape allows the torque characteristic of the automatic drive 1 to be adapted to the requirements of such revolving doors in a particularly simple and reliable manner.

[0052] Alternatively to the FIG. 5 In addition to the coupling shown by means of a lever 67 with a sliding block and a sliding rail, designs are also possible in which the automatic drive 1 is coupled to the door frame or the door leaf via a rod 69.

[0053] For example, see FIG. 7As shown, such a linkage 69 comprises, for example, a first arm 71, which is coupled at its first end 71a in a rotationally fixed manner to the output shaft 7 and at its second end 71b, opposite the first end 71a, via a pivot joint to a first end 73a of a second arm 73. The second end 73b of the second arm 73, opposite the first end 73a, is coupled via a further pivot joint to a foot 75 of the linkage 69. The foot 75 is designed to be immovably attached to the door frame or door leaf in order to couple the automatic drive 1 thereto.

[0054] In order to obtain an advantageous torque characteristic in such a configuration with a linkage 69, the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 is preferably designed to be rotationally symmetrical. Accordingly, the recess 34 in the second gear 33 is also designed to be rotationally symmetrical, and the rack section 63 in the opening 61 of the movable component 49 is designed to be uniform, in particular straight. Such a configuration is shown by way of example in FIG. 8 shown.

[0055] Through the specific choice of design or by simply exchanging the three in the Figures 6 and 8 The components 33, 43 and 49 of the automatic drive 1 shown allow the formed automatic drive 1 to be adapted to the specifically intended use (i.e. either with a slide-rail mounted lever 67 or with a rod 69) without a complex adaptation of the other components of the automatic drive 1.

[0056] Finally, it should be noted that, in light of the above description of the exemplary embodiments, a person skilled in the art will readily conjure up a multitude of obvious combinations and / or equivalent modifications thereof. Such combinations may not be explicitly described herein, but are nevertheless encompassed by the scope of the appended claims. List of reference symbols
