Description

[0001] The present invention relates to an automatic drive for a revolving door and a revolving door with such an automatic drive.

[0002] An automatic drive for a revolving door, in particular for a smoke and / or fire door, conventionally comprises a drive unit which, in the assembled state, is designed to actively pivot the revolving door from its closed position to its open position and / or to hold it in its open position, a control unit for controlling the electric drive unit and a gear which couples the electric drive unit to a rotatably mounted output shaft of the automatic drive.

[0003] To control revolving door drives, it is necessary to determine the opening angle of the revolving door. This requires an encoder. The encoder can be located on the electric motor of the drive unit or in the gearbox. It typically consists of a magnetic or perforated disk attached to the motor shaft or a gear wheel, and an electronic circuit board that counts the angular pulses and transmits them to the drive's control unit. However, such a design requires a relatively large amount of installation space and is complex and expensive.

[0004] Against this background, it is an object of the present invention to provide a compact and cost-effective automatic drive which nevertheless allows reliable determination and control of the opening angle of the revolving door driven by it.

[0005] This object is achieved by an automatic drive having the features of claim 1.

[0006] Advantageous further training can be found in the dependent claims.

[0007] According to the invention, an automatic drive for a revolving door, in particular for a smoke and / or fire door, comprises a drive unit which, in the assembled state, is designed to actively pivot the revolving door from its closed position to its open position and / or to hold it in its open position. Furthermore, the automatic drive comprises a control unit for controlling the electric drive unit and a gear that couples the electric drive unit to a rotatably mounted output shaft of the automatic drive. The electric drive unit comprises an electric motor with a motor housing, a stator with magnetic coils, and a rotor with a set of first permanent magnets arranged in a circle around the stator for generating a drive torque. The electric motor has a rotary encoder arranged within the motor housing, which comprises a magnetic sensor device and an encoder track, detectable by the magnetic sensor device, consisting of a set of second permanent magnets, which are rotationally fixedly connected to the rotor. The control unit is coupled to the magnetic sensor device and configured to control the magnetic coils of the stator based on the output signal of the magnetic sensor device.

[0008] The integration of the rotary encoder into the electric motor leads to cost savings and enables a particularly compact overall design, as a separate encoder is no longer required. The motor, with its integrated rotary motion monitoring, forms a single assembly and can be easily replaced in the event of problems. The gearbox directly links the motor's rotary motion to the alignment of the output shaft and thus to the opening angle of the revolving door. This enables reliable and precise control of the revolving door's opening angle. A separate magnet or perforated disc is not required.

[0009] The electric motor is preferably a DC motor, especially a brushless one. A DC motor can be driven by a simple DC power source, such as a battery, which can be built into the automatic drive itself. This allows for a simple, self-sufficient power supply for the electric motor. A brushless motor is particularly efficient and durable.

[0010] The electric motor is preferably an external rotor motor. External rotor motors deliver particularly high torques compared to corresponding internal rotor motors. The direct generation of high torque by the electric motor enables the use of gearboxes with fewer gear stages, which allows for overall space savings.

[0011] Preferably, the sensor track consisting of the set of second permanent magnets is provided radially circumferentially on a top surface of the rotor perpendicular to a motor axis, and preferably, the set of first permanent magnets is provided circumferentially along a side wall of the rotor radially surrounding the motor axis. Such a configuration is particularly simple to form and, at the same time, particularly robust and reliable. The magnetic sensor device can, in particular, be attached to the stator.

[0012] Preferably, the encoder track is formed by at least 40, in particular between 80 and 120, second permanent magnets. The rotor of an electric motor, for example, typically comprises only 14 first permanent magnets. Thus, the encoder track enables a significantly higher resolution for controlling the rotational movement of the motor and thus the revolving door than would be possible using the first permanent magnets of the rotor.

[0013] The magnetic sensor device preferably comprises at least one immovably mounted Hall sensor. In particular, the magnetic sensor device comprises at least two, and preferably three, immovably mounted Hall sensors. These Hall sensors are particularly aligned with the aforementioned encoder track. Hall sensors are relatively insensitive to water, dust, and dirt, which enables a reliable and robust overall design. The use of two Hall sensors makes it possible to determine the direction of rotation of the rotor or motor shaft. Furthermore, a third sensor can be used redundantly to take over the function of one of the other two Hall sensors in the event of its failure. This enables a particularly robust and durable overall design.

[0014] Preferably, the transmission is designed for the slip-free transmission of a rotational movement of the rotor of the electric motor of the electric drive unit to the output shaft, in particular solely via positive-locking gear stages. Such a design enables particularly precise and thus reliable control of the opening movement of the revolving door. Positive-locking gear stages represent a particularly robust and durable option for implementing slip-free transmission of the rotational movement.

[0015] The gear unit is preferably designed with three stages. The gear units are preferably arranged axially offset from one another. In particular, the first gear unit is a toothed belt gear unit. In particular, the second gear unit is a spur gear unit, preferably with helical teeth. In particular, the third and final gear unit is a spur gear unit, preferably with straight teeth. A three-stage gear unit has been identified as a good compromise between sufficient gear ratio and saved installation space for automatic drives for revolving doors. A toothed belt gear unit is relatively inexpensive. A helical spur gear unit with helical teeth runs particularly smoothly and generates little noise. A straight-toothed gear unit, on the other hand, is particularly simple and therefore inexpensive. The combination of these three units enables the creation of a particularly quiet and reliable, yet comparatively inexpensive, overall gear unit.

[0016] Preferably, the driven gear of the last gear stage is rotationally fixedly connected to the output shaft and designed as a spur gear stage with at least one, in particular exactly one, intermediate gear. The rotationally fixed coupling can be achieved, for example, via a positive connection between said driven gear and the output shaft and enables a relatively compact yet robust overall design. The intermediate gear makes it possible to increase the distance between the output shaft and the second gear stage in order to create installation space for a movable component of a return device, in particular in the form of a piston, as is known from purely mechanical door closers (see below), without the movable component running the risk of striking the second gear stage.

[0017] The automatic drive preferably comprises a reset device with a non-electrical energy storage device. The reset device is designed, when installed, to urge the revolving door toward its closed position. In particular, it is provided that the non-electrical energy storage device is coupled to the output shaft via a component that can move perpendicularly to the axis of rotation of the output shaft. For example, such a reset device can correspond to or be modeled on a reset device of a purely mechanical door closer. In particular, components such as a mechanical spring and / or a piston (as a movable component) from a reset device of a purely mechanical door closer can be installed in the reset device. Such a design is particularly robust, reliable, and cost-effective.

[0018] Preferably, said movable component is mounted on a roller bearing. This type of design is particularly reliable and robust. In particular, a roller bearing has the advantage of being more efficient than a plain bearing, as there is less friction. Compared to oil- or grease-lubricated plain bearings, a roller bearing is also less prone to failure during extended operation.

[0019] Preferably, the rotational axis of the output shaft, one motor axis of the electric motor, and all rotational axes of the gears and pinions of the transmission are aligned parallel to each other. Such a design is particularly clear and therefore easy to implement, as well as robust and reliable.

[0020] Preferably, the outer diameter of the electric motor of the electric drive unit transverse to its motor axis is larger than the length of the electric motor along its motor axis. This enables a particularly flat yet powerful overall design. Alternatively or additionally, the electric motor of the electric drive unit is preferably designed to act as a generator when the revolving door pivots toward its closed position, in order to dampen the closing movement of the revolving door. Therefore, no hydraulic fluid is required for a damping effect of the automatic drive.

[0021] According to the invention, a revolving door, in particular a smoke and / or fire door, comprises a door frame, a door leaf pivotably suspended relative to the door frame between a closed position and an open position, a previously described automatic drive, and a rod assembly or a lever with a sliding block and a sliding rail. The automatic drive is either fixed to the door frame and coupled to the door leaf via the rod assembly or the lever with the sliding block and the sliding rail, or fixed to the door leaf and coupled to the door frame via the rod assembly or the lever with the sliding block and the sliding rail.

[0022] Such a revolving door benefits from the previously described advantages of the automatic drive used.

[0023] The revolving door preferably comprises a previously described resetting device with a non-electrical energy storage device. The non-electrical energy storage device of the resetting device is designed to be charged with energy by an opening movement of the door leaf, which is caused or at least assisted by the electric drive unit, and, after the door leaf is released, to pivot the door back into its closed position using the charged energy. Such a design is particularly reliable, yet cost-effective and functional. By closing using the charged energy, a failure of the resetting device, particularly caused by a power failure, can be reliably avoided.

[0024] The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 shows an automatic drive for a revolving door according to a first embodiment of the present invention without housing and panels from above; FIG. 2 shows the automatic drive from FIG. 1 from below; FIG. 3 the automatic drive FIG. 1 with illustrated housings and covers in a longitudinal section along the output shaft; FIG. 4 the automatic drive from FIG. 1 with illustrated housings and covers in a cross-section at the level of the output shaft; FIG. 5 the automatic drive from FIG. 1 with mounted lever; FIG. 6 left the driven gear of the last gear stage, top right the output shaft with its pinion and bottom right the movable component of the automatic drive from FIG. 1 ; FIG. 7 a modification of the automatic drive from FIG. 1with mounted rods; FIG. 8 left the driven gear of the last gear stage, top right the output shaft with its pinion and bottom right the movable component of the automatic drive from FIG. 7 ; and FIG. 9 is a schematic drawing of the components of an exemplary electric motor as an electric drive unit for the automatic drives shown.

[0025] In the Figures 1 and 2 an automatic drive 1 for a revolving door, in particular for a smoke and / or fire door, is shown with housings and panels not shown.

[0026] The automatic drive 1 has an electric drive unit 3, which is coupled to an output shaft 7 via a gear 5. Furthermore, a reset device 9 is coupled to the output shaft 7. To control the electric drive unit 3, the automatic drive 1 further comprises a control unit 11. All of these components are mounted, in particular via housings, on a base body 13, which is designed to fasten the automatic drive 1 to a door leaf or a door frame of the respective revolving door.

[0027] Accordingly FIG. 9The drive unit 3 comprises an electric motor 100, in the present case in the form of a brushless external rotor DC motor 100 with a motor housing (not shown) and a motor axis M. The electric motor 100 further comprises a rotor in the form of a bell 102 with a set of (for example, 14) first permanent magnets 104 arranged in a circle around a stator 106 with (for example, 12) magnetic coils 114. The commutation of the electric motor 100 is sensor-controlled, with a magnetic sensor device 112 consisting of three Hall sensors, each offset by 120° from one another and only one of which is shown, being provided.

[0028] The BLDC motor 100 has a rated speed of approximately 3700-5600 revolutions per minute. Other DC motors have comparable rated speeds of 1500-2500 revolutions per minute. To achieve the same speed at the output shaft 7, the overall gear ratio of the gearbox 5 is approximately 500-600 instead of 250-300.

[0029] Furthermore, the motor 100 shown comprises a rotary encoder arranged within the motor housing, i.e., integrated into the motor, which comprises a magnetic sensor device 108 and a magnetic encoder track comprising a set of second permanent magnets 110, which can be detected by the magnetic sensor device 108 and is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the rotor 102. The magnetic sensor device 108 is aligned with the permanent magnets 110 of the encoder track. The magnetic sensor device 108 comprises two Hall sensors, which are arranged offset from one another, in particular, by half the width of a second permanent magnet 110, and of which only one is shown. The encoder track comprising the set of second permanent magnets 110 is provided radially encircling on a cover surface 102a of the rotor 102 perpendicular to the motor axis M, and the set of first permanent magnets 104 is provided circumferentially along a side wall 102b of the rotor 102 radially surrounding the motor axis M.

[0030] The control unit 11 is coupled to the magnetic sensor device 108 and is configured to receive and evaluate an output signal from the magnetic sensor device 108 of the electric motor 100. Specifically, based on the output signal from the magnetic sensor device 108, the control unit 11 regulates the rotational movement of the rotor 102 of the motor 100 and thus of the output shaft 7, which is coupled to the electric motor 100 of the drive unit 3 via the transmission 5. Based on the determined information, the control unit 11 supplies the magnetic coils 114 of the stator 106 with current for the targeted rotation of the rotor 102 and thus of the output shaft 7.

[0031] This allows for reliable and precise control of the rotary motion of the output shaft 7 of the automatic drive 1 within a confined space. In particular, it is then unnecessary to provide a separate magnetic or perforated disk in the automatic drive.

[0032] Preferably, the encoder track is formed by at least 40, in particular between 80 and 120, second permanent magnets 110.

[0033] The transmission 5 comprises three interconnected gear stages 15, 17, and 19. A drive shaft 21 of the electric drive unit 3, which is mounted rotatably about the motor axis M, is rotationally coupled to a pulley 25 via a belt 23 to form the first gear stage 15 in the form of a belt transmission stage. The belt 23 can in particular be designed as a toothed belt. The pulley 25 is rotationally fixedly connected to a first pinion 26, and both are mounted rotatably about a first axis of rotation R1. This first pinion 26 meshes with a first gear 27, which is mounted rotatably about a second axis of rotation R2, to form the second gear stage 17 in the form of a helical-toothed spur gear stage. The first gear 27 is rotationally fixedly coupled to a second pinion 29.To form the third and final gear stage 19, this second pinion 29 meshes with a straight-toothed intermediate gear 31, which itself meshes with a second gear 33. The intermediate gear 31 is rotatably mounted about a third rotational axis R3. The second gear 33 is rotatably mounted about a fourth rotational axis R4 via a rolling bearing 35 in the form of a ball bearing on a sleeve 37 of a housing cover of the gear housing 39.

[0034] The second gear 33 comprises a central funnel-shaped projection 41 (cf.: FIG. 4 ), in the neck of which a central recess 34 is formed, which is designed in the opposite direction to a pinion 43 formed on the output shaft 7 (cf.: FIG. 6 , 8). The second gear 33 is pushed onto the output shaft 7. The teeth of the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 on the side facing the second gear 33 are machined to reduce the tooth height (by machining) in order to create an axial stop for the second gear 33. Thus, the second gear 33 is rotationally fixedly coupled to the pinion 43 and consequently to the output shaft 7, forming a spline. The output shaft 7 is rotatably mounted relative to the gear housing 39 via a lower roller bearing and an upper roller bearing 45, each in the form of a needle bearing, so that a rotational axis A of the output shaft 7 coincides with the fourth rotational axis R4 (cf.: FIG. 3 ). The motor axis M, the rotation axes R1 to R3 and the rotation axis R4 or the rotation axis A are spaced apart from one another, in particular along a common plane, but aligned parallel to one another.

[0035] The lower roller bearing 45 of the output shaft 7 is provided on the previously described sleeve 37 of the gear housing 39 in the same plane (i.e. at the same height) as the roller bearing 35 of the second gear 33 (cf.: FIG. 4 ). Thus, the rolling bearing 35 of the second gear 33 surrounds the lower rolling bearing 45 of the output shaft 7, forming a particularly compact design. Alternatively, the rolling bearing 35 of the second gear 33 could also surround the upper rolling bearing 45 of the output shaft 7. The designations lower rolling bearing 45 and upper rolling bearing 45 refer to the FIG. 4 illustrated orientation of the automatic drive 1.

[0036] Due to this special design, a preferred housing height of 70 mm must be maintained.

[0037] In the embodiment described here, the second gear 33 functions as the driven gear of the last gear stage 19 within the meaning of the present invention. It should be noted that in a case where a transmission 5 with only a single gear stage is to be provided, this single gear stage would also be considered the last gear stage within the meaning of the present invention.

[0038] The drive shaft 21 of the electric drive unit 3 is rotationally fixedly coupled to the output shaft 7 via the gear 5 in a predetermined fixed transmission ratio, whereby the electric drive unit 3, when mounted on a revolving door, can actively pivot the door and / or hold it in a specific position, in particular in its open position.

[0039] In order to automatically pivot the revolving door into its closed position, the automatic drive 1 shown here includes the return device 9.

[0040] The specific structural design and functioning of this reset device 9 is described in more detail below.

[0041] How particularly good in FIG. 1 As can be seen, the reset device 9 implemented here comprises a movable component 49 and a mechanical, non-electrical energy storage device 51 in the form of a helical spring. One (left) end of the helical spring 51 is supported on a spring plate 53, the axial position of which can be adjusted via a worm gear 55. The other (right) end of the helical spring 51 presses against the movable component 49 perpendicular to the rotational axis A of the output shaft 7. The preload of the helical spring 51 can be adjusted via a screw movement on the worm gear 55.

[0042] The movable component 49 is designed in the present case as a piston or in the manner of a piston, which together with the coil spring 51 is located in a bore within a corresponding piston housing 57 (cf.: FIG. 3 ) is provided. The piston housing 57 is a piston housing 57 in which the movable component 49 is movably mounted perpendicular to the rotational axis A of the output shaft 7. The movable component 49 preferably has a clearance of 0.1 to 0.2 mm relative to the inner surface of the piston housing 57 and can be grease-lubricated. The control unit 11 is attached to the base body 13 via the piston housing 57.

[0043] To support the movable component 49, three roller-bearing rollers 59 are provided, arranged side by side along the axial direction of movement of the movable component 49 and aligned parallel to one another. The roller axes RA1 to RA3 of the roller-bearing rollers 59 are all aligned perpendicular to the axial direction of movement of the movable component 49 and are spaced apart from one another in a common plane. They are each rigidly connected to the gear housing 39 via a needle roller sleeve 60a and a corresponding cylindrical pin 60b (cf.: FIG. 4). The radially encircling running surfaces 59a of the roller-bearing-mounted rollers 59 are each shaped in a manner diametrically opposed to a corresponding running surface 49a on the movable component 49 and bear against it. Specifically, the running surface 49a of the movable component 49 is convex transversely, in particular perpendicularly, to the axial direction of movement of the movable component 49, and the running surfaces 59a of the roller-bearing-mounted rollers 59 are correspondingly concavely shaped. This enables a particularly reliable and stable mounting of the movable component 49.

[0044] As an alternative to the embodiment shown with three roller bearings 59 arranged in one plane, more or fewer roller bearings 59, which in particular do not necessarily have to be located in a single plane, can also be provided to support the movable component 49.

[0045] For coupling with the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7, the movable component 49 has an opening 61 through which the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 extends. The movable component 49 has an axially extending rack section 63 along the inner wall of this opening 61. The teeth of this rack section 63 are in permanent engagement with the teeth of the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 in order to couple the movable component 49, and thus the return device 9, to the output shaft 7 via a rack gear 65 thus formed.

[0046] The following describes the integration of the automatic drive 1 described above into a revolving door, in particular into a smoke and / or fire door.

[0047] A revolving door with a corresponding automatic drive 1 comprises a door frame and a door leaf pivotably suspended relative to the door frame. The door leaf can be pivoted between a closed position and an open position. The previously described automatic drive 1 is fixed or attached to one of the door frame and the door leaf via its base body 13. Depending on the specific application, either an upper or a lower end of the output shaft 7 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a first end 67a of a lever 67 (cf.: FIG. 5 ). The second end 67b of the lever 67 is rotatably coupled to a sliding block (not shown). Said sliding block is slidably mounted along a sliding rail (not shown), which is fixed or attached to the other of the door frame and the door leaf.

[0048] The functioning of the described automatic drive 1 in such a revolving door, in particular in a corresponding smoke and / or fire door, will now be briefly described.

[0049] Initially, the door leaf is in its closed position, thus closing the opening of the revolving door framed by the door frame. At this point, the automatic drive 1 is in the position shown in the Figures 1 to 3 shown condition.

[0050] In order to pass through the revolving door, the door leaf is pivoted from its closed position to its open position by a corresponding control of the electric drive unit 3. During this opening movement, the output shaft 7 rotates with its pinion 43 about the axis of rotation A. Via the rack and pinion gear 65 formed, which acts between the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 and the movable component 49, this rotary movement of the output shaft 7 results in a translational movement of the movable component 49 perpendicular to the axis of rotation A of the output shaft 7 (to the left in the Figures 1 to 3 ). This in turn leads to a compression of the coil spring 51 and thus to a charging of it with potential energy.

[0051] A driving force of the drive unit 3, which is generated for opening and / or subsequently keeping the revolving door open, is transmitted via the gear 5 to the output shaft 7.

[0052] As soon as the door leaf is released, in particular by the motor of the electric drive unit 3 no longer being energized, the coil spring 51, using the previously absorbed potential energy, pushes the movable component 49 perpendicular to the axis of rotation A of the output shaft 7 back into its original position (i.e. to the right into the Figures 1 to 3 ).

[0053] Due to the rack and pinion gear 65, this leads to a rotation of the output shaft 7 in the direction opposite to the previous rotation and thus to a pivoting of the door leaf back into its closed position.

[0054] The intermediate gear 31 of the last gear stage 19 of the transmission 5 creates the installation space required for the free movement of the movable component 49. In particular, the intermediate gear 31 enables the further gear stages 15 and 17 of the transmission 5 as well as the electric drive unit 3 to be moved away from the output shaft 7 (into the Figures 1 to 3to the right).

[0055] The roller bearings 59, on the other hand, serve to support the axially movable component 49 with as little friction as possible, yet still reliably. A rolling bearing is subject to less friction than a plain bearing.

[0056] This creates a particularly space-saving, reliable and cost-effective overall design.

[0057] In particular, the revolving door formed can be designed to open automatically each time the door is passed through and to close automatically again immediately. Such doors are known, for example, from hospitals, wherein a separate button can be provided to activate the electric drive unit 3 to open the revolving door. With such a configuration, the energy storage device 51 of the resetting device 9 is charged or tensioned each time the door is opened. When the door is closed, the motor of the drive unit 3 can be operated as a generator, thereby braking or dampening the closing movement. This eliminates the need for a separate damping hydraulic system. Before closing, the revolving door can, under certain circumstances, be held open for a predetermined period by the drive unit 3 or a holding device. It would also be conceivable for the drive unit 3 to hold the revolving door open permanently.

[0058] Finally, it should be noted that in the embodiment described above, the driven gear 33 of the last gear stage 19, the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 and the movable component 49 FIG. 6 shown configuration. Specifically, the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 is rotationally uneven. The recess 34 in the second gear 33 as well as the opening 61 with the rack section 63 in the movable component 49 are correspondingly uneven, in particular wave-shaped, designed. This specific design of the FIG. 6 The components shown are based on the FIG. 5The illustrated use of the automatic drive 1 in a revolving door with a lever 67 with a sliding block (not shown) and a sliding rail (not shown) is tailored. This irregular shape allows the torque characteristic of the automatic drive 1 to be adapted to the requirements of such revolving doors in a particularly simple and reliable manner.

[0059] Alternatively to the FIG. 5 In addition to the coupling shown by means of a lever 67 with a sliding block and a sliding rail, designs are also possible in which the automatic drive 1 is coupled to the door frame or the door leaf via a rod 69.

[0060] For example, see FIG. 7As shown, such a linkage 69 comprises, for example, a first arm 71, which is coupled at its first end 71a in a rotationally fixed manner to the output shaft 7 and at its second end 71b, opposite the first end 71a, via a pivot joint to a first end 73a of a second arm 73. The second end 73b of the second arm 73, opposite the first end 73a, is coupled via a further pivot joint to a foot 75 of the linkage 69. The foot 75 is designed to be immovably attached to the door frame or door leaf in order to couple the automatic drive 1 thereto.

[0061] In order to obtain an advantageous torque characteristic in such a configuration with a linkage 69, the pinion 43 of the output shaft 7 is preferably designed to be rotationally symmetrical. Accordingly, the recess 34 in the second gear 33 is also designed to be rotationally symmetrical, and the rack section 63 in the opening 61 of the movable component 49 is designed to be uniform, in particular straight. Such a configuration is exemplified in FIG. 8 shown.

[0062] Through the specific choice of design or by simply exchanging the three in the Figures 6 and 8 The components 33, 43 and 49 of the automatic drive 1 shown allow the formed automatic drive 1 to be adapted to the specifically intended use (i.e. either with a slide-rail mounted lever 67 or with a rod 69) without a complex adaptation of the other components of the automatic drive 1.
