Rainwater management system having a water-storage and vegetation device

Abstract

The system (1) has, on the surface, a multilayer complex (2) on a soil (3) and a water-storage and vegetation device (1) with a lower portion in the soil (3) and an upper portion in the open air, wherein the complex (2) has a surface covering (20, 24) in a top-to-bottom arrangement and at least one porous layer (21), the device (1) having a tank (10) and a plantable portion having a substrate (11) separated from one another by a separator (12), wherein the tank (10) has, in its upper portion, an inlet (15) for enabling surface water (7) gathering onto the surface covering (20, 24) to be collected in the tank, the system (1) having fluid communication means (4) between the tank (10) and any water that may be located under the surface covering (20, 24) and in particular in the at least one porous layer (21), the fluid communication means enabling liquids to pass through and preventing solid matter from passing through, and in which system the permeability of the soil (3) to water is less than the permeability of the at least one porous layer (21).
