Order-picking and boxing method

Abstract

A method for picking and boxing orders comprises: • - conveying of at least one storage container (16) by a truck of a first set (17) of self-guided trucks to an order-picking station (121); • - selection of a first box (241) intended to form the packaging of a package for one of the orders; • - conveying of the selected first box by a truck of a second set (18) of self-guided trucks to the order-picking station (121); • - picking of at least one article from one of the storage containers (16) and placement of the picked article(s) in the selected first box (241). The conveying is carried out by moving the trucks in a circulation zone (Z1) formed on an inclined ramp (21). The picking is performed in a parking zone (Z3) accessible from the inclined ramp (21) and comprising at least two adjacent parking spaces (23, 25) intended to receive respectively a truck of the first set and a truck of the second set. Such a method comprises adjusting a height of at least one of the adjacent parking spaces (23, 25) according to dimensions of the first box (241) and / or the storage container (16).
