Abstract

The present application relates to a rotor protection cap (10) for a rotor (100) of a comminution unit (200), wherein the rotor protection cap (10) has an outer surface (12) which is convex along a circumferential direction for protecting a hub (102) of the rotor (100), wherein the outer surface (12) has a projection (14) protruding therefrom, wherein the projection (14), with respect to its position along the outer surface (12), extends in a first direction (16) perpendicular to the outer surface (12), in a second direction (18) parallel to the outer surface (12) and along the circumferential direction and in a third direction (20) parallel to the outer surface (12) and perpendicular to the circumferential direction, wherein the projection (14) is larger in the first and second directions (16, 18) than in the third direction (20).
