Field of application

[0001] The present invention refers to an external window / shutter / door, such as in particular a window or a French window for the closure of a building wall, and a method for mounting the aforesaid window / shutter / door.

[0002] The present window / shutter / door is generally inserted in the industrial field of production of windows / shutters / doors, in particular but not exclusively of the type provided with a wooden frame externally covered with aluminum profiles.

[0004] Known for some time are windows / shutters / doors, of the type employable for closing openings made on load-bearing structures of buildings, for example constituted by a window or by a French window, provided with a fixed frame and with a movable wing mechanically connected to the fixed frame by means of hinging means.

[0005] More in detail, the fixed frame consists of two first vertical uprights and two first horizontal crosspieces rigidly fixed to the vertical uprights at the ends in order to form a frame with substantially quadrangular form. The fixed frame is intended to be fixed to the load-bearing structure, whether this is a metallic structure or a walling, and more precisely it is intended to be fixed to the internal faces of the walls that delimit the opening with which the window / shutter / door is associated.

[0006] More in detail the movable wing is provided with a support frame delimiting a central opening, at which a glass panel is fixed, for closing the opening.

[0007] The support frame in turn comprises two vertical uprights and two horizontal crosspieces, generally made of wood, firmly connected to the two second vertical uprights in order to form the four sides of the movable wing.

[0008] The movable wing is also often provided with a cover frame, which covers the face of the uprights and crosspieces of the support frame intended to be directed towards the external environment, in order to protect the material of the crosspieces and uprights from atmospheric agents as much as possible.

[0009] Such cover frame is generally attained by means of four aluminum profiles, which are connected to each other two by two at their ends in order to delimit the same central opening delimited by the support frame of the movable wing, simultaneously covering the external face of the uprights and crosspieces of the aforesaid support frame.

[0013] The aforesaid solution nevertheless has shown that in practice it does not lack drawbacks. Indeed, the need to employ clips for fixing the cover frame to the support frame at the external faces of the uprights and crosspieces renders the movable wing structurally more complex and costlier.

[0014] Otherwise, support frames are known (for example similar to that described in US 9,725,946) which are assembled by fixing, two by two at their ends, the aluminum profiles and which, in order to attain the movable wing, receive the glass panel in abutment and to which the uprights and the crosspieces of the not-yet-assembled support frame are separately fixed, such that during assembly the glass panel remains retained between a suitable portion of the cover frame itself and a portion of the uprights and crosspieces that form the support frame.

[0015] Such solution allows making movable wings that are structurally simple, which in fact do not require employing clips for maintaining the cover frame integral with the support frame.

[0016] Nevertheless, also the aforesaid solution has in practice proven that it does not lack drawbacks. Indeed, the assembly of the wing is particularly difficult, given that during the entire assembly it is necessary to precisely maintain in position a plurality of components that are not yet fixed to each other. In particular, the glass panel is only abutted against the cover frame during the fixing of each upright and crosspiece of the support frame to the cover frame, with the risk that during the fixing of the uprights and of the crosspieces the operator can inadvertently manage the components with little care and make the glass panel fall from the support frame.

[0017] There is therefore the need in the field to make movable wings with cover frame that is simultaneously structurally simple, saving on the number of components, and which do not require complicated, long assembly times.Presentation of the invention

[0018] In this situation, the problem underlying the present invention is therefore that of overcoming the drawbacks of the prior art, by providing an external window / shutter / door and a method for assembling such window / shutter / door, which are simple and quick to attain.

Detailed description of a preferred embodiment

[0022] With reference to the enclosed drawings, reference number 1 overall indicates an external window / shutter / door (e.g. a window or a French window), according to the present invention.

[0023] Such window / shutter / door 1 is advantageously intended to be mounted in an opening of a building, in particular made on an external building wall (hence load-bearing) of the aforesaid building, in order to separate an internal environment, i.e. for example a room of the aforesaid building, from the external environment.

Window / shutter / door (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that at least said second cover profiles (15'') are each provided with a first eyelet (23) side-by-side the first lateral wall (18) and the first front wall (19) and interposed between said first lateral wall (18) and the first transverse face (8) of the corresponding said second beam (4"); the first stem (22) of each of said four first fixing screws (21) being placed to cross the first lateral wall (18) of said first cover profile (15') corresponding to the respective said first beam (4') and being screwed in the first eyelet (23) of the corresponding said second cover profile (15") in order to drag said second cover profile (15") in abutment with its said second end (16") against the first lateral wall (18) of said first cover profile (15').

Window / shutter / door (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the first stem (22) of each of said four first fixing screws (21) terminates with a first thrust head (24) placed against the first lateral wall (18) of said first cover profile (15') corresponding to the respective said first beam (4') in order to push said first lateral wall (18) in abutment against the second end (16") of the corresponding said second cover profile (15").

Window / shutter / door (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said first beams (4') are extended along the corresponding said first extension directions (X) between two respective first terminal portions (25') and said second beams (4") are extended along the corresponding said second extension directions (Y) between two respective second terminal portions (25''); the second terminal portions (25") of said second beams (4") being placed in abutment against the first transverse faces (8) of said first beams (4') adjacent to the first terminal portions (25') of said first beams (4') and said first housing slots (20) being made on said second terminal portions (25").

Window / shutter / door (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that each beam (4) of said first support frame (3) is provided with a second transverse face (27), which is extended between said first internal face (6) and said first external face (7) and is directed in opposite direction with respect to said first transverse face (8); the first housing slots (20) of each said second beam (4") being made on said first external face (7) in a through manner between said first transverse face (8) and said second transverse face (27).

Window / shutter / door (1) according to claim 4 and 5, characterized in that said first support frame (3) comprises four compensation caps (28), each of which fixed to a corresponding first terminal portion (25') of a corresponding said first beam (4') and placed to cover at least said first terminal portion (25') and the second transverse face (27) of the adjacent said second beam (4'') at least at said first housing slot (20); the first ends (16') of said first cover profile (15') being placed in abutment against said cover caps (28).

Window / shutter / door (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said first beams (4') are provided with a first length along the corresponding said first extension directions (X) and said second beams (4'') are provided with a second length along the corresponding said second extension directions (Y) smaller than said first length; said hinging means (14) rotatably connecting said first support frame (3) at one said first beam (4') to the second support frame (13) of said fixed frame (12) around a rotation axis (Z) parallel to the first extension direction (X) of said first beam (4').

Window / shutter / door (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that each beam (4) of said first support frame (3) is provided with a containment groove (29) made on said first transverse face (8) and each said cover profile (15) comprises a first rear wall (30), which is transverse to said first lateral wall (18), is opposite said first front wall (19) and is at least partially inserted in the containment groove (29) of a corresponding beam (4).

Window / shutter / door (1) according to claim 8, characterized in that the first rear wall (30) of each said cover profile (15) projects from the containment groove (29) of the corresponding beam (4) and the first lateral wall (18) of each said cover profile (15) is spaced from the first transverse face (8) of the corresponding beam (4); each beam (4) of said first support frame (3) comprising an abutment rib (31) extended projecting from said first transverse face (8) thereof, opposite the first rear wall (30) of the corresponding cover profile (15) and placed to delimit said retention seat (9); said at least one glass panel (10) being maintained in said retention seat (9) interposed between the abutment ribs (31) of said beams (4) and the first rear walls (30) of said cover profiles (15).
