Two component intumescent coating system

Abstract

A liquid intumescent coating composition comprising a resin system is described herein. The resin system comprises at least one polymeric component, one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomeric components, an inhibitor, and at least one intumescent ingredient. The coating composition is provided as a two-pack system that can be applied via a single-leg spray process and is curable to a solid state in a free-radical polymerization reaction.
