Abstract

The invention relates to a device and a method for steam pressure cooking a cooking product by means of microwave radiation, wherein the device comprises an apparatus for generating microwave radiation and a first cover with an opening for introducing microwave radiation, a second cover which is arranged at a distance from the first cover and which is permeable for microwave radiation, and a receptacle for a cooking product carrier, said cooking product carrier being impermeable for microwave radiation, wherein when the cooking product carrier is arranged in the receptacle, the device is configured to form a pressure-tight cooking compartment between the second cover and the cooking product carrier and optionally form a seal arranged therebetween.
