Abstract

The invention relates to a method for inspecting a metal concrete-prestressing element of a pipeline, in particular a water-conducting pipeline, in which method: a first alternating magnetic field is generated by means of at least one first excitation unit of an inspection device, which excitation unit preferably comprises a first excitation coil, and a second alternating magnetic field is generated by means of at least one second excitation unit of the inspection device, which second excitation unit is spaced from the first excitation unit and preferably comprises a second excitation coil, wherein the first magnetic field and the second magnetic field have opposite directions; and during a movement of the inspection device along the concrete-prestressing element, measured data are recorded on the basis of the resulting magnetic field at at least one position between the first excitation unit and the second excitation unit by means of at least one magnetic-field sensor of the inspection device, which sensor preferably comprises a sensor coil; and the measured data are analyzed with respect to the magnitude and / or phase of the resulting magnetic field. The invention also relates to an inspection device for inspecting a metal concrete-prestressing element of a pipeline, in particular a water-conducting pipeline.
