Managing radio resource management functions in a communication network cell

Abstract

A method (300) is disclosed for managing a plurality of Radio Resource Management (RRM) functions for consumers of radio resources in a cell of a communication network during a management episode, wherein each RRM function is associated with an action space. The method comprises generating a representation of an episode state of the cell (310), and sequentially for entries in an RRM management sequence, identifying a next entry in the management sequence (320), using the episode state representation and a trained neural network to select a target or action for the identified entry (320), and updating the episode state representation to include a decision assigning the selected target or action to the action or target of the identified entry (330). The method further comprises initiating execution of actions on targets in the cell in accordance with the updated episode state representation.
