Operating an elevator car in a special operating mode

Abstract

According to an aspect, there is provided a solution in which an elevator car may be operated in an operation mode enabling resetting of a waiting timer associated with the elevator car, the waiting timer delaying the start of the elevator car to serve at least one call allocated to the elevator car. Sensor data identifying a passenger approaching an elevator may be obtained from at least one sensor, and the waiting timer may be reset in response to obtaining the sensor data.
