Abstract

A method of fabricating a membrane comprises dispersing preformed polymer nanofibers in at least one first solvent to form a dispersion; spraying or coating the dispersion on a surface of a substrate to form a nanofiber-based structure thereon; and evaporating the at least one first solvent from the nanofiber-based structure to form the membrane therewith, where the membrane has porosity.
