Abstract

[Problem] The present invention provides a toothbrush that reduces collision of the toothbrush with an inner wall of an oral cavity upon insertion of the toothbrush deep into the oral cavity, and has improved operability within the oral cavity. [Solution] A toothbrush 1 according to the present invention includes: a head portion 2 having a bristle-planting surface 20 on which a plurality of brush bristle bundles 3 are planted at a right angle; a neck portion 5 connected to the head portion 2; and a gripping portion 7 connected to the neck portion 2. The head portion 2 includes a proximal portion 21 extending in a longitudinal direction from a distal end of the neck portion 5, and a distal portion 23 extending in the longitudinal direction via a step from a distal end of the proximal portion 21. The distal portion 23 is inclined in a direction toward bristle tips of the brush bristle bundles.
