Description

[0001] Holding device

[0002] DESCRIPTION

[0003] The invention relates to a holding device according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

[0004] Such a holding device is known, for example, from CN 216101865 U and is used for the releasable fixation of at least one rod-shaped object, which in the described embodiment is a fishing rod. The holding device disclosed in the document has two clamping brackets connectable to the pins of a motor vehicle headrest, as well as at least two holders provided on the holding device. The holders are each arranged on a cross strut, and the cross struts are spaced apart from one another and, together with at least two longitudinal struts connecting the cross struts, form a common frame. The entire construction is very complex and comparatively difficult to assemble.

[0005] KR 201870000479 A further relates to a holding device for securing at least one rod-shaped object, which, according to the disclosure content of the document, can also be a fishing rod. The solution described consists in the provision of two independent holders, of which a first holder has pins on its underside which are designed to match the headrest mounts in a motor vehicle and can be inserted into these mounts. The pins of the first holder are inserted into the headrest mounts of the rear seats and secured therein. In addition, there is another holder which is to be mounted separately and consists of two spiral springs or spiral cables arranged one above the other, between which a part of the fishing rod, for example the handle area, is inserted and is held between them as a result of the elastic tension of the springs. The springs or spiral cables are attached between the pins of the driver's seat headrest and the pins of the passenger seat headrest. The installation of such a retaining device is very complex due to its multi-part design. Another disadvantage is that the driver's seat and the passenger seat cannot be offset from each other, viewed in the direction of travel, but must be positioned side by side, which can lead to a loss of comfort. Careless adjustment of the position of one of the two front seats could cause significant damage to objects held in the retaining device, such as fishing rods, because the rod rings are easily broken and have low pressure resistance.

[0006] DE 20 2019 103 253 U1 also discloses a holding device for long, rod-shaped objects, such as fishing rods, in which the central, rear headrest can be folded down. In this position, it forms a trough-shaped recess into which the fishing rod is inserted and secured with a securing strap, such as a rubber band. Hooks are provided on the side of the headrest for attaching the securing strap. This type of holding device can lead to damage to fishing rods, as these are often made of sensitive materials, such as carbon.

[0007] What all solutions known to date have in common is that the attachment of rod-shaped objects, such as fishing rods, is relatively complex and the holding devices usually have to be permanently installed inside the vehicle, so that they take up space that could be used for other purposes and sometimes even represent an obstruction to the view.

[0008] The invention is based on the object of providing a holding device for the releasable fixation of at least one rod-shaped object, which can be used flexibly for different motor vehicle types, can be easily assembled and disassembled and, moreover, enables rapid and gentle fastening of the rod-shaped objects within the motor vehicle.

[0009] The invention solves this problem with the features of patent claim 1. Further embodiments of the invention are the subject of the subsequent subclaims.

[0010] A holding device for the releasable fixing of at least one rod-shaped object, comprising two pins which fit the receptacles of a headrest of a motor vehicle and can be inserted into these receptacles, as well as at least two holders provided on the holding device, wherein the holders are each arranged on a cross strut and the cross struts are spaced apart from one another and together with at least one longitudinal strut connecting the cross struts to one another form a common rod assembly, was further developed according to the invention in that the holders are arranged on the upper side of the rod assembly and the pins are arranged on the underside of the rod assembly opposite the upper side, wherein the pins are fastened to a support strut which extends transversely to the longitudinal struts.

[0011] This holding device represents a one-piece, universally applicable solution to all current problems associated with transporting long, rod-shaped objects, such as pipes, gardening tools, or fishing rods. Its compact design, comprised of cross and longitudinal struts, provides the objects to be transported with two independent support points, allowing them to be secured and transported easily and gently, reliably, and without compromising road safety. The solution is suitable for a variety of vehicle types and also allows rod-shaped objects to be transported inside the vehicle, which offers a variety of advantages. For example, the aforementioned fishing rods are not exposed to the elements outside the vehicle and are also protected from theft.A very significant advantage of the present invention is that it is a rod system that can be easily assembled and disassembled in one easy movement. The loading area required for transporting additional objects in the motor vehicle is thus almost not restricted at all. Furthermore, both the driver's seat and the passenger seat can be moved independently of one another, which represents a considerable increase in comfort compared to some known solutions. With the holding device according to the invention, the rod-shaped objects can be removed from the motor vehicle together with the holding device and inserted into the motor vehicle. A further significant advantage is that the invention ensures a high degree of safety for the people in the motor vehicle and for the rod-shaped objects to be transported with the holding device.

[0012] According to a first embodiment of the invention, it is proposed that the holders be arranged on the upper side of a frame formed by the rods, and the pins be arranged on the underside of this frame opposite the upper side. The pins are attached to a support strut extending between the longitudinal struts. With this specific variant, the cross struts and at least two existing longitudinal struts form a common frame, which further improves the stability of the holding device.

[0013] A further embodiment of the invention is that the support strut is connected to the longitudinal struts in a form-fitting or force-fitting manner and, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal struts, in a variable arrangement. In other words, it is possible to move the support strut along the longitudinal struts, fix it in different positions, and thus also change the positioning of the frame and thus the entire mounting device in the motor vehicle. This in turn has the advantage of reducing or eliminating obstructions to the driver's view.

[0014] According to the invention, both the longitudinal struts and the transverse struts are designed as profiles with grooves incorporated therein and can be made of plastic or aluminum, for example, to ensure low weight and facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the entire holding device. According to a further development, it is further proposed that at least the longitudinal struts each have a groove with sliding blocks inserted therein, at least on their underside facing the support strut, via which groove the support strut is connected to the longitudinal struts and fixed to the longitudinal struts in a positionally adjustable manner. In this way, the holding device can be moved far back, i.e. towards the trunk, and fixed in place in a station wagon, for example, which significantly facilitates access to the rod-shaped objects, even through the trunk lid.In small vehicles, displacement in the opposite direction is also possible. Instead of T-nuts, equivalent means can of course also be used to enable a locally adjustable fixation of the support strut to the longitudinal struts. For example, this could involve inserting hexagon nuts into the grooves, into which corresponding screws or threaded pins of the support strut are screwed to connect the longitudinal struts to the support strut. Finally, any type of clamping mechanism can also be used for the connection.

[0015] A very significant advantage, according to a further development of the invention, is that the support strut is pivotally connected to each of the longitudinal struts about a joint. In other words, the support strut has a joint on both sides, i.e. on each longitudinal strut. Thanks to this pivotability, the entire holding device can assume any inclined position within the motor vehicle when the pins of the support strut are inserted into the corresponding receptacles in the headrests. Thanks to this angle adjustment, rod-shaped objects, such as fishing rods, can be transported in such a way that the driver's field of vision and range of motion are not restricted. In this way, the rear-view mirror and side mirrors, the gearshift, and the control interfaces remain freely accessible.

[0016] In general, it is in accordance with the present invention that the holders comprise clamping devices or are themselves clamping devices that have an open position and a closed position. By alternating between the open position and the closed position, the rod-shaped objects can be inserted into the holders without impairment and secured in the closed position by means of the clamping. The holding device according to the invention thus also allows, for example, the transport of fully equipped fishing rods, i.e., fishing rods on which the reel with the fishing line and all rings are present and can remain. Disassembly of the fishing rod to be transported is therefore no longer necessary during transport in a motor vehicle, which represents a considerable relief and simplification.

[0017] According to an advantageous embodiment of this inventive concept, it is therefore further proposed that each holder have a clamping jaw running parallel to the crossbar accommodating the holder and pivotably arranged on the crossbar and about an axis, which is accommodated on one side in a bearing block so that its height can be adjusted. The clamping jaw preferably, but not necessarily, has either an elastically deformable surface or trough-like depressions on the side accommodating the object, into which the object is embedded and can thus be transported gently. This is particularly useful for delicate objects such as fishing rods, for example, if they are made of impact-sensitive carbon materials.

[0018] The ability to adjust the height of the clamping jaws allows the transport of rod-shaped objects with different geometric dimensions, for example, with different diameters. This also prevents the pressure on the rod-shaped objects from becoming too high, for example if the distance between the clamping jaws is too small. This measure therefore helps to protect the objects being transported from damage. The bearing block preferably has several slots running parallel to one another to adjust the height of the clamping jaw. The corresponding clamping jaw has matching pins projecting laterally, which are received in the contour formed by the slots and pivotally mounted. This relatively simple design successfully creates a height-adjustable joint for the clamping jaws, thus providing a holder that gently holds the objects being transported. Considering the previously mentioned example of transporting fishing rods, both extremely fine rod diameters (2 mm) and extremely wide rod diameters (up to 4 cm) can be transported safely. This allows not only fishing rods but also landing nets, for example, which every angler must carry by law, at least in Germany, to be stored and transported in a space-saving manner.

[0019] A very special design variant of the previously mentioned contour formed by the slots can be seen in the fact that the contour, viewed from the side, is E-shaped or comb-like.

[0020] Considering the side opposite the joint of the clamping jaws, it is understandable that this side must be secured in some way to hold the rod-shaped objects to be picked up. For this purpose, a further development of the invention is that each clamping jaw has, on its side opposite the bearing block, a locking contour or a snap-action mechanism for securing the clamping jaw to a locking element. A very special embodiment of this inventive proposal can be seen in the fact that each clamping jaw has, on its side opposite the bearing block, a slide that can be displaced or moved in the longitudinal direction of the clamping jaw against the force of a spring, wherein the slide engages a corresponding engagement contour of a locking element when the holder is closed.

[0021] A similar type of connection as described above using T-nuts can also be used to connect the pins to the support strut. An advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the support strut also has a groove on its underside into which a hexagon nut or T-nut is inserted for each pin, so that the pins are connected to the support strut via the T-nuts in a detachable and position-adjustable manner. Such a design has the advantage that the pins can be moved relative to one another and fixed in any desired position, so that the holding device according to the invention can be used in different motor vehicles in which the dimensional distances between the headrest mounts may possibly differ.Of course, the equivalent fastening elements mentioned above can also be used to connect the support strut to the tenons.

[0022] Furthermore, the installation of the pins on the support strut is made significantly easier if the pins have a tool engagement surface. The tool engagement surface can be a molded or indented part of the pin, onto which an open-end wrench, for example, can be attached. Of course, tool engagement surfaces for socket wrenches, screwdrivers, or similar tools can also be provided. This allows the pins to be loosened, for example, in order to replace them with other pins with different geometries, for example, with a different diameter. This is useful because different vehicle types can sometimes have different sized receptacles for the headrest pins.To accommodate different sizes of rod-shaped objects to be transported, it is also helpful and practical if the holders are detachably attached to the longitudinal struts and arranged so that they can be moved along the longitudinal struts. Considering the previously mentioned fishing rods, the holders can be moved to a position on the longitudinal struts that prevents, for example, damage to the rod rings used to transport the fishing line.

[0023] In order to make the entire frame of the holding device flexible and to be able to change its dimensions relative to one another, a special proposal of the invention is that the longitudinal struts have grooves on their upper side facing the holders with slot nuts inserted therein or alternative fastening means by means of which the cross struts with the holders are fixed to the longitudinal struts in a positionally adjustable manner.

[0024] As already discussed previously in connection with the clamping jaws of the holders, it is generally advantageous if trough-like depressions for embedding the rod-shaped objects are present within the holders and / or on the surface of the cross struts, or if at least elastically deformable sections are present in the area of the holders, into which the objects are embedded when the holder is closed.

[0025] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The exemplary embodiment shown does not represent a limitation to the variant shown, but merely serves to explain a principle of the invention. Identical or similar components are always designated by the same reference numerals. In order to illustrate the inventive mode of operation, the figures show only highly simplified schematic diagrams, in which components not essential to the invention have been omitted. However, this does not mean that such components are not present in a solution according to the invention. It shows:

[0027] Depiction

[0029] Figure 3: the holding device in a viewing direction according to arrow III from

[0030] Figure 1 and

[0031] Figure 4: the holding device in a viewing direction according to arrow IV of

[0032] Figure 1.

[0033] Figure 1 shows a three-dimensional representation of a holding device 1 according to the invention. In its basic structure, it consists of two parallel transverse struts 7 and 8, which are connected via longitudinal struts 9 and 10, which also run parallel to one another, to create a one-piece frame. The longitudinal struts 9 and 10 have a support strut 13 on their underside 12, via which the longitudinal struts 9, 10 are connected to one another. The support strut 13 is fixed to the underside 12 of the longitudinal struts 9 and 10 via a joint 14 so that it is pivotably attached to the frame in the direction of the double arrow C. The support strut 13 serves to attach two pins 2 arranged at a distance from one another, the geometric dimensions of which match the receptacles of headrests in a motor vehicle seat. The distance between the pins 2 can be changed relative to one another in the direction of the double arrow B in Figure 1.This means that the illustrated holding device 1 can be attached to various vehicle seats where the distances between the headrest mounts vary. The pins 2 each have a tool engagement surface 15 below the support strut 13 for loosening and tightening. In the example shown in Figure 1, this is a wrench flat for an open-end wrench. The connection between the support strut 13 and the longitudinal struts 9 and 10 is also designed to be detachable, which means that the support strut 13 can be moved in the direction of the double arrow A, i.e., in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal struts 9, 10, when the connection is released. This allows for an optimization of the arrangement of the entire holding device 1 within the motor vehicle. As is also evident from the illustration in Figure 1, extruded profiles made of aluminum material are preferably used for the construction of the frame as a whole. These profiles have an approximately square cross-section and grooves in their outer surfaces extending over the entire length. T-nuts can be inserted into the grooves, which serve to fix various elements to the frame or to the support strut 13. Thus, on the upper side 11 of the frame and oriented in the longitudinal direction of the cross struts 7 and 8, two holders 3, 4, 5, 6 are arranged at a distance from one another and thus opposite one another when viewed in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal struts 9, 10, each holder having a clamping jaw 17.The clamping jaws 17 have pins 20 on one side, which in turn serve as an axis 16 for pivoting and thus opening or closing the clamping jaws 17, which corresponds to a movement in the direction of the double arrow E. The holder 5 is shown in an open position and the holders 3, 4 and 6 are shown in a closed position. A part of a rod-shaped object 28, which in this case is a fishing rod and is fixed in the closed holder 3, is inserted into the open holder 5. The pins 20 or axes 16 of the holders 3-6 are each received in a bearing block 18, which has a suitable contour 21 for this purpose, which, in the example shown, has an E-shape when viewed from the side and thus consists of several slots 19 running parallel to one another and one above the other. The exact structure of this bearing arrangement is more clearly shown in Figure 4, which is described in more detail below. On the side opposite the bearing block 18, a locking element 24 is provided approximately centrally on each of the cross struts 7 and 8. The locking element is equipped with an engagement contour 23. The engagement contour 23 of the locking element 24 serves to accommodate a slide 22 movable along the clamping jaws 17, thus ensuring the fixation of the clamping jaws 17 at a defined height. In other words, the slide 22 is mounted on the clamping jaw 17 so that it can move in the longitudinal direction of the clamping jaws 17.As already explained, the longitudinal struts 9 and 10 each have a groove 25 on their upper side 11, which can be used to movably fix the existing cross struts 7 and 8 via T-nuts and a suitable screw connection within the bearing blocks 18 on the upper side 11 of the longitudinal struts 9 and 10. This design variant is not shown in Figure 1. Here, the longitudinal struts 9 and 10 as well as the cross struts 7 and 8 are firmly connected to one another, for example, by means of a material bond, which means that they are glued or welded together.

[0034] In Figure 2, the holding device 1 from Figure 1 is shown again in a perspective from above, while the side view of the holding device 1 shown in Figure 3 in the direction of arrow III from Figure 1 clearly illustrates the cross-section design of the support strut 13 and the clamping jaws 17. These have a square geometry and have a groove 26 on each of their long sides. In the support strut 13 shown in Figure 3, which is connected to the longitudinal struts 9 and 10 via a joint 14 arranged on each side, two sliding blocks 27 are inserted into the groove 26 on the underside of the support strut 13, by means of which sliding blocks the pins 2 are fixed to the support strut 13. A tool engagement surface 15 embossed into the outer surface of the pins 2 serves to loosen and fix the pins 2. The connection between the joints 14 and the support strut 13 is also preferably made via such sliding blocks 27.

[0035] The view shown in Figure 4 in the direction of arrow IV from Figure 1 once again clearly illustrates the mobility of the slides 22 in the direction of arrow D and the structural design of the slides 22 on the clamping jaws 17 and the mounting of the clamping jaws 17 via pins 20 in the bearing block 18, which has suitable slots 19 for this purpose. The height adjustability of the clamping jaws 17 is possible by a modified arrangement of the pins 20 in the slots 19 running one above the other. This makes it possible to adapt to different cross-sectional geometries of the rod-shaped objects to be stored. The slots 19 form a contour 21 within the bearing block 18 which, viewed in side view, has an approximately E-shaped geometry.
