Acceleration cavity

Abstract

This accelerating cavity is a cylindrical shape having conductivity, and includes: a housing in which division members divided into a plurality of parts in a plane along a central axis are provided in a state of facing each other with a gap between the division surfaces; a plurality of cell parts which are arranged inside the housing in a state of being aligned in an axial direction of the central axis of the housing, and which are in communication with each other by a communication part capable of passing charged particles; and a switch member which is arranged in a gap of the housing, is movable in the gap along the plane, and switches the magnitude of an electric field for accelerating the charged particles by movement.
