Synchronization signal transmissions and random access procedures

Abstract

Methods, apparatus, and systems that relate to synchronization signal transmissions and random access procedures for networks having multiple access points are disclosed. In one example aspect, a method for wireless communication includes determining, by a network, a correspondence between multiple synchronization signals and multiple random-access resources. The method includes transmitting, by the network, the multiple synchronization signals to a plurality of terminal devices. The method also includes monitoring, by the network, a plurality of first messages from the plurality of terminal devices based on the correspondence between the multiple synchronization signals and the multiple random access resources.
