AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing firearm designs have an invariable bolt play, which can lead to reduced shooting accuracy due to variations in ammunition manufacturer tolerances, as they do not allow for adjustable bolt play without the use of special tools and calipers.

Method used

The assembly of the barrel and bolt casing of a firearm features an adjustable barrel placement with an external thread and an adjustment ring, allowing for easy adjustment of bolt play using ordinary tools, without the need for special tools or calipers.

Benefits of technology

This solution enables precise adjustment of bolt play according to specific ammunition types, ensuring a consistent initial combustion chamber and thereby enhancing shooting accuracy.

Abstract

Assembly of the barrel (1) and the casing (2) of the bolt (3) of the firearm for adjusting the bolt play, wherein the barrel (1) is placed in the casing (2) of the bolt (3) in an adjustable manner. The barrel (1) has an end part (5), which contains a cartridge chamber (6), designed for longitudinal sliding placement of the barrel (1) in the casing (2) of the bolt (3). The barrel (1) is at the part (5) created for its sliding placement in the casing (2) of the bolt (3) equipped with an external thread (7), on which an adjustment ring (8) of the bolt play is placed. The end part (5) of the barrel (1) created for its sliding placement in the casing (2) of the bolt (3) is equipped with a locking element (9) against rotation of the barrel (1) in the casing (2) of the bolt (3) and with at least one locking element (10) of the position of the barrel (1) relative to the casing (2) of the bolt (3) in the direction of the axis of the casing (2) of the bolt (3).
