[0018] "Intended" should be understood as specifically programmed, designed, and / or equipped. The fact that an object is intended for a specific function should be understood as meaning that the object fulfills and / or performs this specific function in at least one application and / or operating state.

[0019] The check element could be embodied as a binary, hexadecimal, or preferably as a decimal number. The check element is preferably embodied as a natural number, which advantageously reduces the complexity of the check element and / or a check protocol, particularly with regard to applying a calculation operation to the check element. A natural number is understood, in particular, to be a number from a set of natural numbers that contains zero.

[0020] Alternatively, it would be conceivable for the test element to be embodied as a number from any set of numbers deemed reasonable by a person skilled in the art, which may, for example, include negative and / or floating-point numbers. For example, it is conceivable for the test element to be embodied as an integer and / or a rational number. Alternatively, it would also be conceivable for the test element to be embodied as a number, which may, for example, include at least one digit other than a number, such as a letter.

[0021] It is further proposed that the control unit is provided to transmit at least one additional communication packet with at least one additional check element to the further household appliance device after the communication packet. The control unit is in particular provided to combine at least one additional data element and at least the additional check element to form the additional communication packet in the operating state and to transmit the communication packet in the operating state to the further household appliance device by means of the communication unit. [0024] The additional check element and the check element are preferably designed as elements of a same set of numbers. It is further proposed that the check element and the additional check element are each numbers of a common sequence. This allows unique check elements to be generated particularly efficiently. The sequence is preferably free of repeating sequence elements, in particular at least in the relevant value range. In particular, the sequence only has differing sequence elements. Advantageously, a chronological sequence can be assigned to the communication packet and the additional communication packet, whereby in particular a lack of a communication packet, in particular a loss of the communication packet during transmission, can be determined in a particularly simple manner.Advantageously, the additional test element can be compared indirectly with the other preceding test elements in a particularly simple manner by simply comparing the additional test element with the test element. However, it is preferably proposed that the control unit be provided to integrate a CRC value, in particular as mentioned above, which takes the check element into account, into the communication packet. This can particularly advantageously increase the security of the communication. In particular, a check based on the check element can be additionally monitored by checking the CRC value.Furthermore, a data transmission error relating to the test element can advantageously be detected based on the CRC value. The further household appliance device, in particular the further control unit, is preferably provided for testing the further test element. The further household appliance device, in particular the further control unit, is preferably provided for detecting and, for example, also automatically correcting an error that has occurred during the transmission and / or storage of the communication packet. The CRC value can be detected at the physical layer.

[0060] Figure 2 shows a flowchart for a method for operating the household appliance device 10, wherein at least the at least one data element and at least the at least one check element are combined to form the communication packet and the communication packet is transmitted wirelessly to the further household appliance device 12, wherein the check element can be clearly assigned to the data element at least within one operating state.

[0061] The method comprises a receiving step 100 in which the communication unit 14 receives at least one signal from the further household appliance 12. The method comprises a generating step 102 in which at least the test element and the communication packet are generated. In a transmitting step 104 of the method, the communication unit 14 transmits the communication packet to the further household appliance 12. Figure 1 schematically shows a computer-readable storage medium 52. The computer-readable storage medium 52 can be embodied as a flash chip installed in the household appliance 10. The computer-readable storage medium 52 stores a computer program comprising instructions which, when the program is executed by a computer 24, cause the computer 24 to execute the method. The computer 24 is the control unit 16 (see Figure 1).
