Description

[0001] drawer

[0002] The present invention relates to a drawer with a base, two double-walled side frames with an inner wall and an outer wall and a rear wall connecting the side frames, which rear wall consists of a metal sheet at least in the edge region to the double-walled side frame, wherein the rear wall has a laterally angled web on the edge facing the double-walled side frame, wherein the angled web rests at least partially on the outer side of the inner wall of the double-walled side wall.

[0003] WO 2020 / 164959 A1 discloses a drawer in which a housing of an adjustment device is attached to a rear wall. A pressure rod can be moved vertically via said housing to adjust the inclination of the drawer in an installed position. The housing also features lateral tabs to which the side frame is attached. This allows the housing to be used as a connector between the side frame and the rear wall. However, the strength of this connection is limited, and deformation can occur if the rear wall is made too thin.

[0004] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a drawer in which the rear wall is stably connected to a side frame via a support.

[0005] This object is achieved with a drawer having the features of claim 1.

[0006] In the drawer according to the invention, a stiffening section of a support is attached to the angled web, which forms a U-shaped bend in the area of the angled web and has a free leg, wherein the free leg forms a fastening section and engages between the inner wall and the outer wall of the double-walled side frame and establishes a connection with the side frame. This leads to a compact design and effective assembly. Preferably, a laterally angled web of the rear wall is inserted into the channel of the U-shaped bend. This allows the rear wall to be stiffened in the lateral area by means of an angled section, so that the rear wall becomes more stable and can optionally also be designed with a particularly thin thickness. The laterally angled web can optionally also be fixed to the leg of the bend in order to increase rigidity.

[0007] The two legs of the U-shaped bend are preferably aligned substantially parallel. The free leg facing away from the rear wall can form the fastening section of the support and can be longer than the leg facing the rear wall. The free leg facing away from the rear wall can engage in the side frame and be fixed there to the side frame via fastening means. Optionally, the fastening section can rest at least partially on an inner side against an outer wall of the side frame. Locking means or clamping connections can be provided in the side frame for fastening the fastening section to enable simple assembly.

[0008] For a particularly material-saving design, the rear wall is made of a metal sheet with a thickness between 0.3 mm and 1.2 mm, in particular 0.4 mm and 1.1 mm. Preferably, the support is also made of a metal sheet with a thickness between 0.7 mm and 1.8 mm. The support preferably consists of a metal sheet, the thickness of the metal sheet being at least equal to the thickness of the metal sheet of the rear wall; preferably, the support has a greater thickness than the rear wall.

[0009] For a stable structure, the support comprises a first vertical section which rests against a first section of the rear wall, and a second vertical section which rests against a second section of the rear wall, wherein the sections are offset from one another. A step is preferably formed between the first vertical section of the rear wall and the second vertical section, so that the second vertical section is offset horizontally from the first vertical section. The support can have a similar contour to the rear wall, which preferably also has a vertical section arranged above the floor, which is connected via a step to a further vertical section arranged on the rear side of the floor. Such a step reinforces both the rear wall and the holding section.Optionally, the floor can also be framed in a U-shape by the holding section and / or the rear wall.

[0010] The support preferably comprises an upper angled web on which an upper bevel of the rear wall is supported. The angled web can be either angled or U-shaped in cross-section to reinforce the rear wall in the upper area.

[0011] The back wall can be higher than the side frame, with the support also being higher than the fastening section. The height of the support can be adapted to the height of the back wall. In the case of tall drawers with a side railing, a protruding holding means for securing an add-on component can preferably be formed on the support in the upper area on the side facing the side frame, which is fixed above the side frame. The add-on component can be designed as a railing or as a frame attachment. A bent web can serve as the protruding holding means, which preferably also projects with one leg towards the front of the drawer via a U-shaped bend.

[0012] To increase functionality, an adjustment device can be fixed to the support, by means of which a support element can be adjusted in the vertical direction for inclination adjustment. Such an adjustment device can, for example, comprise a rotating part such as an eccentric, an involute, or a worm, so that the support element, which is movably mounted on a housing or the connector, can be displaced by rotation.

[0013] The invention is explained in more detail below using two exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show:

[0014] Figures 1 A and 1 B show two views of a drawer according to the invention;

[0015] Figures 2A and 2B show two exploded views of the rear wall and the connectors of the drawer of Figure 1;

[0016] Figures 3A and 3B show two perspective views of the rear panel with the connectors in the assembled position;

[0017] Figures 4A to 4C show several views of the connector; Figures 5A and 5B show two exploded views of a modified rear panel with associated connectors;

[0018] Figures 6A and 6B show two views of the rear wall of Figure 5 with the connectors in the mounted position, and

[0019] Figures 7A to 7C show several views of a connector of Figure 5.

[0020] A drawer 1 comprises a plate-shaped base 2, a rear wall 3, and a front panel 4. The rear wall 3 and the front panel 4 are each connected to each other via double-walled side frames 5. The double-walled side frames 5 each have an inner wall 51 and an outer wall 52. The drawer 1 is provided with a high front panel 4, which is fixed to the rear wall 3 on opposite sides via a railing 6 with a connector 10.

[0021] As can be seen from the exploded views of Figures 2A and 2B, two supports 10 are located on the rear wall 3, which serve to fix the rear wall 3 to one of the side frames 5. The supports 10 can be mirror-symmetrical.

[0022] Each support 10 comprises a support section 11, which at least partially abuts the rear wall 3, and a fastening section 12 protruding from the rear wall 3 and fixed to a side frame 5. The fastening section 12 preferably engages in the side frame 5 and is fixed there via fastening means, in particular a locking mechanism. The fastening section 12 can at least partially abut an inner side of an outer wall of the side frame 5 and support it.

[0023] Each support 10 is made of a bent metal sheet, in particular a steel sheet.

[0024] The support section 11 comprises a first vertical section, which is connected in the upper region to an angled web 13 and in the lower region via a step 15 to a second vertical section 16, which is arranged offset horizontally to the rear. In the mounted position, the second vertical section 16 abuts a corresponding vertical section 34 of the rear wall 3, which in turn abuts the rear side of the base 2.

[0025] The rear wall 3 has an upper bevel 31 in its upper region, which can be angular or U-shaped and is connected via a vertical section 30 to a step 33 that projects towards the rear and is connected to a second vertical section 34. In the assembled position, the step 33 can rest on the floor 2, and the vertical section 34 is arranged at the rear of the floor 2. The second vertical section 34 can also have a lower horizontal web 35, so that the floor 2 is enclosed by the step 33, the second vertical section 34 and the horizontal web 35 at the rear.

[0026] The rear wall 3 further comprises an angled web 32 on opposite lateral end faces, on which a plurality of openings can be formed.

[0027] In the area of the support section 11, the support 10 is adapted to the contour of the rear wall 3 with the step 15 and the offset vertical section 16. The support section 11 is connected to the fastening section 12, which is fixed to the side frame 5, via a U-shaped bend 14. A stiffening contour 121 in the form of at least one bent strip is formed on the fastening section 12 for stabilization. The U-shaped bend 14 forms a vertically extending channel into which the laterally angled web 32 of the rear wall 3 is inserted. Above the bend 14, an angled web 20 is formed on the support section 11. The web 20 has openings that are aligned with openings in the angled web 32 and can be used for fastening means of additional components. The support section 11 is provided on the opposite side with an angled web 21 for reinforcement.

[0028] Furthermore, an adjustment device is connected to the support section 11, which has a housing 9 on which a support element 8 is arranged so as to be adjustable in the vertical direction. The support element 8 is driven via a rotating part 7, which can be designed as an eccentric, involute, or worm gear and is rotatably mounted on the housing 9 and an opening 17 of the connector 10. For securing the housing 9, retaining means 18 in the form of retaining tabs are integrally formed on the connector 10. Optionally, other fastening means for securing the housing 9 can also be provided.

[0029] In Figures 3A and 3B, the two supports 10 are shown in the assembled position on opposite sides of the rear wall 3. It can be seen that the angled web 32 of the rear wall engages the U-shaped bend 14, and the fastening section 12, which is formed on the longer leg of the U-shaped bend 14, protrudes toward a front side. The housing 9 is at least partially arranged in the space enclosed by the vertical section 30, the bevel 31, and the lateral webs 32.

[0030] The support 10 is shown in detail in Figures 4A to 4C, with Figure 4A showing the left support 10 and Figures 4B and 4C showing the right support 10, which is mirror-symmetrical to the left support 10 with respect to a central plane. The support 10, which is made from sheet metal by punching and bending, comprises the support section 11, which is formed integrally with the fastening section 12 via the U-shaped bend 14, with a vertical channel being provided in the U-shaped bend 14. The holding means 19 for fixing the railing 6 is also formed integrally with the holding section 11 and comprises a further U-shaped bend, with a leg of the bend facing away from the rear wall 3 serving to fix the railing 6.

[0031] Figures 5A and 5B show a modified embodiment of a rear wall 3' that can be mounted on a drawer 1. The rear wall 3' has a lower height than the rear wall 3. The rear wall 3' comprises a vertical section 30', which has an upper bevel 31, a lower step 33, and a second vertical section 34, as also described for the rear wall 3. In addition, angled webs 32' are formed on opposite sides.

[0032] The rear wall 3' can be connected to a side frame 5 via two modified supports 10', each support 10' having a support section 1T that is lower in height than support 10. The support section 1T is connected to a fastening section 12 via a U-shaped bend 14. The supports 10' are mirror-symmetrical, so that the rear wall 3' can be connected to the right and left side frames 5. Otherwise, the same reference numerals are used for the same components, particularly for the adjustment device.

[0033] Figures 6A and 6B show the rear wall 3' in an assembled position with the supports 10'. The rear wall 3' has a height that is only slightly greater than the height of the two mounting sections 12.

[0034] In Figures 7A to 7C, only one support 10' is shown without any further components, with Figure 7A showing the left support 10' and Figures 7B and 7C showing the right support 10'. An opening 17 for rotatably supporting the rotating part 7 of the adjustment device is formed on the support section 1T. The support section 11' is connected on the outside via the U-shaped bend 14 to the fastening section 12, and holding means 18 for fixing the housing 9 are provided on the inside. A rear step 15 and a second vertical section 16 are formed integrally with the holding section 1T.

[0035] The height of the supports 10, 10' can be designed depending on the height of the back wall 3, 3'.

[0036] The rear walls 3, 3' can also be constructed in multiple parts. It is important that the parts of the rear wall 3, 3' in the area of the supports 10, 10' are made of sheet metal. The middle section of the rear wall 3, 3' can then be made of a different material, e.g., a piece of wood or glass.
