[0028] Detailed description
[0029] In Figures 1, 2 and 3, a scraper blade 1 of a conveyor belt is shown. A scraper blade 1 comprises a head, called a leading edge, delimiting a scraping zone 2 and a base constituting a fixing zone 3 of the scraper blade 1 to a blade holder 4.
[0030] The scraping zone 2 comprises a projecting part 5 formed internally by at least two circular arcs cl, c2 with radii between 100 millimeters and 200 millimeters. Preferably, the circular arcs cl, c2 have radii between 105 millimeters and 150 millimeters. The scraping zone comprises a first end connected to the fixing zone 3, and a second end extending the circular arcs cl and c2 and comprising a scraping edge r formed by a sharp edge. When the scraper blade 1 is used, the scraping edge r is in contact with the conveyor belt, allowing the latter to be scraped.
[0031] The fixing zone 3 comprises at least three projecting parts 6, 7, 8 capable of absorbing the working shocks of the scraper blade 1, when it scrapes a conveyor belt. The projecting parts 6, 7, 8 form an imprint capable of being assembled perfectly with a blade holder 4, so that there is no play when the scraper blade 1 is put into operation, that is to say when it scrapes a conveyor belt.
[0032] The fixing zone 3 also comprises a means for improving the handling of the scraper blade 1. The means for improving the handling of the scraper blade 1 comprises, for example, a set of holes 9 located on the fixing zone 3, capable of receiving one or more metal rods. Once the rod is inserted into a hole 9, the scraper blade 1 is easily handled, particularly when it is mounted on a scraping device 10. The metal rod may, for example, be a handling handle.
[0033] In Figures 1, 2 and 3, the means for improving the handling of the scraper blade 1 comprises two holes 9 made in recesses on the sides of the fixing zone 3 of the scraper blade 1 capable of receiving metal rods.
[0034] The scraper blade 1 has a total width of between 100 millimeters and 300 millimeters, preferably between 150 millimeters and 200 millimeters.
[0035] Advantageously, the scraper blade 1 comprises polyurethane. Indeed, the material of the scraper blade 1 is less solid than the material of the conveyor belt so that the scraper blade 1 protects and cleans the conveyor belt without damaging it. It is therefore important to provide a lower quality material for the scraper blade 1 than for the conveyor belt.
[0036] According to the embodiment shown in Figures 1, 2 and 3, the scraper blade 1 has a width of 166 millimeters, a height of 254.5 millimeters and a depth of 235 millimeters.
[0037] The projecting part 5 of the scraping zone 2 has a circular arc cl of 105.5 millimeters and a circular arc c2 of 148 millimeters.
[0038] The fixing zone 3 has a maximum thickness of 122.5 millimeters, and the holes 9 have a radius of 18 millimeters. The protruding parts 7, 8 of the fixing zone 3 comprise a rounded edge with a radius of 3.5 millimeters, and the protruding part 6 of the fixing zone 3 comprises at least two rounded edges with a radius of 11 millimeters.
[0039] In Figures 4 and 5, a blade holder 4 of a scraper blade 1 as described above is shown. A blade holder 4 is capable of supporting at least one scraper blade 1 and comprises a support tube 11 and a structure 12 connected to the support tube 11. The structure 12 forms at least one groove 13 intended to accommodate at least a first projecting part 6 of the fixing zone 3 of the scraper blade 1.
[0040] According to the embodiment illustrated in Figures 4 and 5, the structure 12 connected to the support tube 11 comprises three folded flat structures 12a, 12b, 12c, a first structure 12a being fixed to the support tube 11, the other two structures 12b, 12c being fixed to the first structure 12a and being folded so as to form the groove 13 in which at least the first projecting part 6 of a scraper blade 1 is inserted.
[0041] The support tube 11 of the blade holder 4 can measure between 450 millimeters and 5030 millimeters in length, preferably between 2000 millimeters and 3000 millimeters in length.
[0042] The blade holder 4 comprises at least one means 14 for retaining a scraper blade 1. The means 14 for retaining a scraper blade 1 comprises, for example, a bolt consisting of a screw and a nut with a metal flange, located at one end of the groove 13 of the blade holder 4. The retaining means 14 may also comprise a second bolt located on the other end of the groove 13 of the blade holder 4, making it possible to retain and keep the scraper blades 1 clamped together throughout the scraping of the conveyor belt.
[0043] Preferably, the blade holder 4 comprises SS304 stainless steel. Stainless steel is a material that allows the blade holder 4 to be strong and resistant to time, and which makes it possible to limit the play between the blade holder 4 and the scraper blades 1 that it supports, and between the scraper blades 1 themselves.
[0044] According to the embodiment shown in Figures 4 and 5, the structures 12a, 12b, 12c have a thickness of 6 millimeters and the two ends of the structure 12a are folded over a length of 39 millimeters, the folds forming right angles, and the ends being connected to the support tube 11. One of the ends of the structures 12b, 12c is connected to a folded end of the structure 12a, and the other end is folded over a length of 19.5 millimeters in order to create the groove 13, the structures 12b, 12c being symmetrical with respect to a radial axis A of the support tube 11. The groove 13 has a depth of 31 millimeters and a width of 97 millimeters.
[0045] Finally, Figure 6 shows a scraping device 10 for a conveyor belt comprising a blade holder 4 as described above, and three scraper blades 1a, 1b, 1c as described above.
[0046] The scraping device 10 comprises at least one scraper blade 1 and at most twenty scraper blades 1, preferably at least three scraper blades 1 and at most fourteen scraper blades 1. The number of scraper blades 1 integrated in the scraping device 10 depends essentially on the width of the conveyor belt.
[0047] A scraper blade 1 is assembled to the blade holder 4 by the interlocking of the imprint formed by the projecting parts 6, 7, 8 of the fixing zone 3 with the groove 13 of the blade holder 4. A scraper blade 1 is inserted by one end of the groove 13 of the blade holder 4 and slides along said groove 13 until it abuts against the retaining means 14 of the blade holder 4 or against a scraper blade already integrated into the blade holder 4. When one or more metal rods are inserted into the holes 9, the assembly and sliding of the scraper blade 1 on the blade holder 4 is easier, the rods allowing better handling of the scraper blade 1.
[0048] The scraper blades 1 are not fixed together but held tight together by the retaining means 14 of the blade holder 4.
[0049] A conveyor belt moves between a drum and the scraping device 10, the latter exerting a regulated pressure at a constant angle on said conveyor belt. The regulated pressure at a constant angle allows in particular the scraper blades 1 to wear uniformly until the end. A scraping device 10 can be located upstream and / or downstream of a conveyor belt. A scraping device 10 comprising several scraper blades 1 of small dimensions makes it possible to facilitate the maintenance of the parts, to reduce the loads, and to adapt easily to the width of the conveyor belt to be scraped.
[0050] The scraping device 10 thus makes it possible to considerably reduce the clearances present between the blade holder 4 and the scraper blades 1, which cause premature wear of said scraper blades 1 in a non-uniform manner.
[0051] The architecture of the scraper blade 1 advantageously makes it possible to increase the service life of said scraper blade 1 by more than four hundred percent depending on certain variables. Today, commercial models require blade replacements approximately every month, while the new scraper blade model described above allows the scraping device to reach at least twelve months before having to change parts, according to the first tests carried out.
