Description

[0001] DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PULLING A FABRIC WEB FROM A WEAVING MACHINE

[0002] The invention relates to a device and a method for pulling a fabric web from a weaving machine according to the preamble of claim 1 and claim 14, respectively.

[0003] Devices and methods for pulling fabric webs or web-shaped products off weaving machines are known. They are used whenever fabric webs are produced continuously or, preferably, in sections. In continuous production, the produced web-shaped fabric web is usually wound up by the weaving machine so that it can be fed into the further processing. In section-by-section production of web-shaped fabric webs, the woven sections produced by the weaving machine are cut to length, and the cut pieces are usually stacked on top of one another. The latter is used primarily for woven products in which the web-shaped fabric web has at least a certain three-dimensional structure. When winding up such three-dimensional fabric webs, their structural design would generally be damaged, since the structure of the fabric web is compressed on the inside and stretched on the outside when winding up.

[0004] From DE 102015222 142 B3, a device for producing and withdrawing a web-shaped product is known. Two clamp supports with clamps are used to withdraw the web-shaped product from the weaving machine, wherein drive means are further provided by which the clamp supports are driven back and forth in and against the withdrawal direction of the web-shaped product. This back and forth movement of the clamp supports in conjunction with the controlled opening and closing of the clamps results in the withdrawal of the web-shaped product, wherein a tensile stress is applied to the web-shaped product by controlling the drive means for the clamp supports with the clamps. According to this known device, the web-shaped product is produced with main sections and auxiliary sections. The auxiliary sections serve to ensure that the clamps of the clamp supports grip the web-shaped product at these sections, i.e.an opening and closing of the clamps only takes place during the production of the web-shaped product in which an auxiliary section for holding the web-shaped product is being produced or has been produced. DE 10 2017 213 255 B3 discloses a device for pulling a web-shaped product off a weaving machine. This device is used for sectionally produced, essentially three-dimensionally formed web-shaped products which are pulled off a weaving machine using the known device. Therefore, a pull-off device with at least one clamp carrier is provided which clamps the web-shaped product by means of clamps. The device also has a support frame device on which the clamp carrier is guided, and drive means by which the clamp carrier can be driven back and forth within a range of movement. In the area of the device side facing the weaving machine and the clamp support, a support system for the web-shaped product is provided within the support frame device such that sagging of the web-shaped product in this area is avoided or limited by means of the support system. Tensioning cables and / or rigid chains are preferably used as the support system. In addition, a second clamp support is preferably provided between the device side facing away from the weaving machine and the first clamp support and is controlled such that the web-shaped product is at least temporarily held in a clamped manner by a first and a second clamp support. This means that the web-shaped product is held in a clamped manner at its leading end and is also held in a clamped manner at least temporarily at its trailing end, which faces the device side of the weaving machine.Once a length of web-like product substantially corresponding to the length of the known device has been woven, it is necessary to manually grip the leading end of the web-like product in order to maintain tension therein, while the clamp support facing this end moves back towards the weaving machine and takes over clamping of the web-like product, for example from the first clamp support. If there is only one clamp support, the weaving process must also be stopped until this clamp support has moved back and taken over clamping of the fabric web again. A disadvantage of the known devices is that the web-like product must be pulled manually at its leading edge in order to maintain tension, which requires a considerable amount of force from the people carrying out this holding and pulling.

[0005] The object underlying the invention is now directed to providing a device and a method for pulling a fabric web from a weaving machine, which is suitable for thick fabrics, in particular for so-called 3D fabrics, e.g. for multi-layer fabrics, by means of which manual holding and pulling is no longer necessary and, even in the presence of only one clamp carrier, the quality of the fabric web is no longer impaired after weaving by maintaining a uniform tension.

[0006] This object is achieved by a device for withdrawing a fabric web from a weaving machine having the features according to claim 1 and by a method for withdrawing a fabric web from a weaving machine having the features according to claim 14. Appropriate further developments are defined in the respective dependent claims.

[0007] According to a first aspect, the device according to the invention for pulling a fabric web off a weaving machine comprises at least one clamp carrier which can be driven back and forth and is guided on a frame and which clamps the fabric web at least temporarily in its pull-off direction at production speed within a range of motion. According to the invention, an additional clamping device is arranged on a support frame device on the side of the clamp carrier facing away from the weaving machine. This additional clamping device clamps the fabric web before the clamp carrier has released its clamping of the fabric web and then moves towards the weaving machine against the pull-off direction of the fabric web. Clamping the fabric web by the additional clamping device ensures that the tension in the fabric web is maintained, even and especially when the clamp carrier has released its clamping. The clamp carrier must be released so that it can be moved back toward the weaving machine to clamp the fabric web again. Furthermore, in addition to the clamp carrier, i.e., a first clamp carrier, a further clamp carrier, i.e., a second clamp carrier, is preferably provided between the weaving machine and the support frame device, which clamp the fabric web alternately or at times in parallel.

[0008] Preferably, the additional clamping device is attached to a cantilever beam arranged on the support frame device, and preferably the additional clamping device is movable horizontally on the cantilever beam and / or vertically with the cantilever beam. This movable capability makes it possible to adjust the woven length of the fabric web to be cut to length and to position it for clamping. Further preferably, the additional clamping device is movable on the cantilever beam and / or with it by means of a drive or manually. This means that in a first embodiment, manual horizontal and vertical movement is provided, whereas in a second embodiment, the movement and adjustment of the position of the additional clamping device takes place by means of an electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic drive.

[0009] Preferably, in addition to the additional clamping device, a cutting device is preferably provided on the cantilever beam, by means of which the fabric web can be severed or cut to length. Further preferably, the cutting device is arranged next to the additional clamping device, wherein the additional clamping device and the cutting device can be moved and positioned independently of one another and relative to one another. This is necessary in order to be able to move the cutting device to the appropriate point on the fabric web in order to be able to cut off the produced fabric web section there. The additional clamping device can release the fabric web or clamp it as required. A handwheel is preferably provided for the manual adjustment and positioning of the additional clamping device and the cutting device, as well as for clamping by the additional clamping device.

[0010] The additional clamping device and the cutting device each have their own manual, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic drive on their right and left sides, i.e. in the area of the long sides of the fabric web. According to a further embodiment, an electric, hydraulic, pneumatic or manual drive is provided in the area of the middle of the additional clamping device. The additional clamping device and the cutting device are arranged on guides on the cantilever beam and are each preferably designed to be torsionally flexible. The torsionally flexible design of both devices has the advantage that certain deviations in the guides on the cantilever beam in terms of length and height as well as differences in the drives between the right and left sides are compensated for.

[0011] Once clamped, a desired holding tension is applied to the fabric web, which is lower than the pull-off tension exerted by the clamp carrier. The holding tension is maintained by means of a locking device or a self-locking mechanism, so that inadvertent release of the additional clamping device from the clamped position can be prevented. Preferably, the additional clamping device has a single continuous clamping element or multiple clamping elements that adjust the clamping force, specifically such that individual clamping elements of the additional clamping device can each be actuated to adjust the clamping force individually. Thus, the additional clamping device can reliably clamp the fabric web across the clamping width.

[0012] To prevent the additional clamping device from colliding with the fabric web to be clamped, it can preferably be provided that the additional clamping device can be pivoted away from the fabric web to be clamped. This is particularly advantageous when cutting the fabric web to length using a cutting device and during inspections or repairs.

[0013] Preferably, the fabric web has three-dimensionally formed main sections and auxiliary sections located between the main sections, which are at least approximately two-dimensionally formed, in which clamping can therefore be carried out particularly well and reliably.

[0014] Preferably, in addition to the at least one clamp support, a further clamp support is provided between the weaving machine and the support frame device, which also clamps the fabric web at least temporarily, preferably at an auxiliary section arranged between main sections. Within the range of movement of the clamp support and the further clamp support, a support system that can be wrapped up and unwrapped is preferably provided, which forms a support surface for the fabric web, i.e. the woven fabric section, between the weaving machine and the support frame device. The support surface ensures that the fabric web does not sag, or almost does not sag. In addition, a table is connected to the further clamp support and moves back and forth with it beneath the fabric web, which supports the fabric web as it is moved in the take-off direction.

[0015] According to a second aspect of the invention, a method for pulling a fabric web off a weaving machine is described, in which at least one clamp carrier clamps the fabric web between the weaving machine and a support frame device, at least temporarily, while maintaining its pull-off tension, holds it in a clamped manner, and moves by means of a drive at production speed in the direction of the support frame device within the range of movement of the clamp carrier. An additional clamping device is provided, arranged on the side of the support frame device facing away from the weaving machine, which maintains a holding tension while clamping the fabric web, specifically before the clamp carrier has released its clamping of the fabric web and moves back towards the weaving machine against the pull-off direction. The take-off tension of the at least one clamp carrier is now set greater than the holding tension with which the additional clamping device clamps the fabric web in the take-off direction behind the support frame device when the clamp carrier, in its range of movement between the weaving machine and the support frame device, has released the fabric web from its previously existing clamp. Preferably, the additional clamping device is attached to a cantilever beam which is fastened to the support frame device and on which the additional clamping device is moved horizontally and / or vertically with it. This ensures that the additional clamping device can clamp the fabric web before the clamp carrier, moving between the support frame device of the weaving machine in its range of movement, has released its clamping of the fabric web.In the event of inspections or repairs, the possibility of vertical movement of the cantilever beam also enables access to the extraction device.

[0016] Further preferably, a further second clamp carrier is arranged in the movement range of the clamp carrier, i.e. a first clamp carrier, which clamps the fabric web alternately with the clamp carrier or, if appropriate, also temporarily simultaneously. The additional clamping device clamps the fabric web from a time at which the clamp carrier has not yet released the fabric web, wherein the clamping by the additional clamping device is in any case realized at a time when the clamp carrier has released the clamping of the fabric web in the movement range. Preferably, the fabric web is cut off by means of a cutting device which is also arranged on the cantilever beam in addition to the additional clamping device. Further preferably, the cutting device is also arranged on the cantilever beam next to the additional clamping device.Preferably, both devices, i.e. the additional clamping device as well as the cutting device, can be operated independently of each other by independent drives.

[0017] For example, for inspection or repair reasons, it is possible to pivot the additional clamping device and / or the cutting device away, preferably upwards.

[0018] A further advantage of the ability to pivot the additional clamping device away comes into play when the fabric web sections are so long that the area to be cut by the cutting device cannot yet be reached by the cutting device. After the fabric web has been cut by the cutting device, the additional clamping device is pivoted upwards so that the cut fabric web sections can, for example, be stacked on top of each other and removed from the area of the device for pulling the fabric web off a weaving machine.

[0019] However, the cantilever beam can also be moved or the fabric can be removed to one side.

[0020] Further advantages, possible applications, and details of the invention will now be explained in detail using exemplary embodiments. The drawings show:

[0034] Figure 1 shows a three-dimensional view of the basic structure of the device according to the invention, i.e. a horizontal take-off of a fabric web 1. The fabric web 1 is produced by a weaving machine 2, shown here as an indication, and is taken off from the weaving machine by means of a horizontal take-off device 30 according to the prior art and an additional clamping device 10 connected to it in the take-off direction 5, for clamping a leading end of a fabric web section to maintain a holding tension. Clamping by the additional clamping device takes place before a clamp carrier 3, 4, which moves in the movement area 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30, has released its clamping of the fabric web 1 and which, after releasing the fabric web 1, moves back against the take-off direction 5 in the direction of the weaving machine 2.

[0035] A schematic diagram of the weaving machine 2 producing the fabric web 1 is shown. A fabric web 1 leaves the weaving machine 2 in the production direction or take-off direction 5 and is fed to the horizontal take-off device 30. In the movement range 17 of its clamp supports 3, 4, the fabric web 1 is alternately clamped and moved in the production direction through the movement range 17 of the part of the horizontal take-off device 30 according to the prior art. On the side of the horizontal take-off device 30 facing away from the weaving machine, an additional clamping device 10 and a cutting device 11 are attached to a cantilever beam 9 fastened to the support frame device 8. A fabric web 1 is shown, which consists of main sections 1.1 and auxiliary sections 1.2.

[0036] The main sections 1.1 are formed as a three-dimensional fabric with a greater thickness than the respective auxiliary sections 1.2, which connect successive main sections 1.1 of the fabric web 1. The auxiliary sections 1.1 are particularly intended for clamping by means of the clamp supports 3, 4, wherein the auxiliary sections 1.2 are designed such that they are suitable for clamping by the clamp supports 3 and 4 as well as by the additional clamping device 10, wherein the clamping is carried out in such a way that the main sections 1.1 are not damaged as far as possible during clamping.

[0037] The clamp supports 3, 4 serve to pull the fabric web 1 produced by the weaving machine 2 off the weaving machine 2 with take-off tension and to convey it through the horizontal take-off device 30 in order to grip the fabric web sections at their front edge moving away from the weaving machine 2 by the additional clamping device 10. In addition, on the side facing away from the weaving machine 2, tables 7 are provided for depositing the fabric web sections. These tables are connected to the second clamp support 4 and move back and forth with it beneath the fabric web. These tables support the fabric web sections passing through the horizontal take-off device 30 as they are displaced in the take-off direction, and on which they can be deposited after being cut at their auxiliary sections 1.2 and then transported away from the horizontal take-off device 30 with these auxiliary sections. The device according to the invention serves to generate a holding tension when the clamping by the clamp supports 3, 4 in the actual horizontal take-off device 30 has been released. This ensures that the fabric web 1 does not sag and, for example, is not clamped between the first clamp support 3 and the second clamp support 4 when the second clamp support 4 moves back against the take-off direction 5 (see Fig. 7.5), nor is its thick three-dimensional structure damaged by a lack of tension or clamping by the additional clamping device 10.

[0038] The first clamp support 3, which is arranged closest to the weaving machine 2 in the horizontal take-off direction 30, is also referred to as the inlet clamp bar, whereas the further or second clamp support 4 is referred to as the outlet clamp bar. The second clamp support 4, referred to as the outlet clamp bar, is arranged or moved at the end of the usable range of motion 17 of the second clamp support 4, at its maximum distance from the first clamp support 3.

[0039] Figure 2 shows a three-dimensional view of the additional clamping device 10. It comprises a clamping bar 14 with a plurality of clamping elements 15, arranged transversely to the conveyed or produced fabric web 1 (not shown), which can be individually adjusted by means of adjusting screws 20 with regard to their contact pressure on the fabric web, and in particular on the auxiliary section 1.2 of the fabric web 1. The clamping bar 14 is pre-tensioned by means of the tensioning and clamping lever 18.

[0040] For simplicity of design and operation, the additional clamping device 10 is provided with a handwheel 12 for manual positioning. A locking device 13.1 is connected to the handwheel to maintain the holding tension. The tensioning and clamping lever 18 is connected to, or can be activated by, a locking device 13.2 for clamping the fabric web. The illustrated embodiment is an additional clamping device 10 that can be manually switched into clamping mode or from clamping mode to a non-clamping state.

[0041] The tensioning and clamping lever 18 activates the locking device 13.2 to maintain the clamping. These locking devices 13.1, 13.2 are each designed as a unit comprising a pawl and a wheel provided with ratchet teeth on the outer circumference and serve to ensure that a once set holding tension and a set clamping cannot release on their own, i.e., tension and clamping are maintained. Figure 3 shows a three-dimensional view of the additional clamping device 10, which corresponds to that shown in Figure 2. However, it shows the position pivoted away from its clamping function, which can be effected and adjusted with the corresponding actuating lever 16 of the additional clamping device 10.This is necessary if the fabric web 1 is guided, for example by means of the first clamp support 3 or the second clamp support 4 or both clamp supports 3, 4 at take-off speed from the weaving machine 2 through the horizontal take-off device 30 towards the additional clamping device 10, which is arranged on the side of the support frame device 8 facing away from the weaving machine.

[0042] Not shown are the cantilever beam 9 on which the additional clamping device 10 and the cutting device 11 (not shown here) can be positioned back and forth on the cantilever beam 9 by means of corresponding drives or by actuating the respective handwheels 12, wherein the entire cantilever beam 9 is connected to the support frame device 8 in such a way that the entire cantilever beam 9 with the additional clamping device 10 as well as with the cutting device 11 (not shown in Figure 3) can be moved vertically.

[0043] Figure 4 shows a section of the clamping strip 14 of the additional clamping device 10, with clamping elements 15 and the adjusting screw 20 belonging to the respective clamping element 15. By means of the adjusting screw 20, in conjunction with a leaf spring 21 provided for three-dimensional compensation, the contact pressure of the respective clamping element 15 against or on the fabric web 1 is adjusted. If several clamping elements 15 are provided across the width of the fabric web 1, the contact pressure between the clamping surfaces 6 can be individually adjusted at any point on the fabric web 1 for the corresponding length of the clamping elements 15. However, it is also possible for a continuous contact pressure element across the entire width of the fabric web 1 to maintain the clamping for the holding tension by means of the additional clamping device 10 in the fabric web 1, in particular when the clamp supports 3 and / or 4 have released their clamping and thus the tension in the fabric web 1.

[0044] In the case of a fabric web 1 consisting of main sections 1.1 and auxiliary sections 1.2, the auxiliary sections 1.2 serve for the actual clamping by means of the clamping elements 15, so that the main sections 1.1 are not damaged by the clamping. It goes without saying that a fabric web 1 which does not have intermediate sections 1.2 for clamping can also be clamped at the corresponding points or - with regard to the production of the fabric web 1 - at specific times. The clamping would then lead to possible damage in the clamping area, in particular to three-dimensional main sections 1.1, which would then have to be cut out of the fabric composite for further processing.

[0045] Figure 5 shows a schematic side view of the additional clamping device 10, in which the clamping elements 15 are folded away from the fabric web 1 (not shown) by means of the tensioning and clamping lever 18, i.e., are in a non-clamping position. In principle, it is also possible for the additional clamping device 10 to be actuated by a drive 22 instead of a handwheel 12, via which the required positioning movement of the additional clamping device 10 is realized on the cantilever beam 9.

[0046] Figure 6 shows a three-dimensional representation of the cutting device 11, which is adjustably arranged on the cantilever beam 9 together with the additional clamping device 10 (not shown). The cutting device 11 is provided with a handwheel 12 for manual positioning on the cantilever beam 9 and a locking device 23, which ensures that the set cutting position is maintained. Instead of the handwheel 12, it is also possible to provide a drive 26 for positioning the cutting device 11 on the cantilever beam 9. The cutting device 11 has a transverse guide 24, which runs across the width for cutting a section of fabric web to length. For the actual cutting process, a hold-down device 25 is provided, which holds the fabric web 1 down so that it can be cut to length at the appropriate point. In this embodiment, the actual cutting device 11 is a cutting wheel 27 guided on the transverse guide 24 across the width of the fabric web, whereby other technical solutions are also conceivable instead of a cutting wheel, such as a cutting knife, water jet or laser beam.

[0047] Figure 7, with its respective multiple sub-figures 7.1 to 7.7, shows the various phases of conveying, clamping, releasing, cutting to length and depositing the fabric sections in the interaction of the horizontal take-off device 30 with the additional clamping device 10.

[0048] Figure 7.1 shows a schematic side view of the overall device according to the invention, i.e., the horizontal take-off device 30 and the additional clamping device 10 according to the invention. The weaving machine, by means of which a fabric web 1 is woven, is not shown here; the fabric web 1 is shown as a fabric web consisting of a three-dimensional main section 1.1 and an essentially two-dimensional auxiliary section 1.2. The fabric web 1 is first guided by the weaving machine 2 through the actual horizontal take-off device 30, which has two clamp supports 3, 4. A support frame device 8 is provided adjacent to the horizontal take-off device 30. A cantilever beam 9 is arranged on the support frame device 8, to which an additional clamping device 10 and a cutting device 11 are adjustably mounted. The additional clamping device 10 and the cutting device 11 are movable horizontally independently of one another on the cantilever beam 9 and vertically together with the cantilever beam 9. For this purpose, the cantilever beam 9 is connected to the support frame device 8 for vertical mobility. The actual horizontal take-off device 30 includes the clamp supports 3 and 4, which are movable on a support (not separately designated) within a movement range 17. Within this movement range 17, they clamp the fabric web 1 at different locations and at different times, sometimes simultaneously, sometimes completely independently of one another, or release this clamping. The actual horizontal take-off device, which is known in the art, has the reference number 30.

[0049] In the open state, the clamp supports 3 and 4 are located on the side facing the weaving machine within the movement area 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30. The cantilever support 9 is moved upward into its upper position, so that the horizontal take-off device 30 is accessible from the side facing away from the weaving machine. The additional clamping device 10 and the cutting device 11 are not engaged.

[0050] Figure 7.2 shows that the fabric web 1 has been introduced into the horizontal take-off device 30 and is held clamped by the second clamp support 4, which has moved in the take-off direction 5, and has been transported with its front edge towards the end of the movement range 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30. The second clamp support 4 is closed (see arrow) and for this purpose clamps the fabric web 1, preferably but not necessarily in the region of an auxiliary section 1.2., and moves away from the weaving machine in the direction of the support frame device 8, generating a fabric take-off tension within the movement range 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30. The first clamp support 3, in the open state, is initially still located at the beginning of the movement range 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30, i.e. on its side facing the weaving machine. In order to prevent the front edge of the fabric web 1 from drooping and to support it, a mobile table 7 is provided. This is coupled to the second clamp support 4 and moves with it. Depending on the planned length of the fabric web 1, a combination of several mobile tables 7 can also be provided. After a desired fabric web section has been cut to length in a later process step, the second clamp support 4 and the table 7 or tables 7 can be decoupled from one another and the fabric web section located thereon can be transported away. The cantilever beam 9 with the additional clamping device 10 and the cutting device 11 located thereon are still located on the support frame device 8 in the upper position.

[0051] The closed second clamp carrier 4 moves with production or

[0052] Fabric take-off speed in the production direction or take-off direction 5 and thus generates the take-off tension required for the production of the fabric web 1, while simultaneously driving the table 7 on which the already woven front end of the fabric web 1 is laid down and supported.

[0053] Figure 7.3 now shows the situation in which the second clamp carrier 4 has reached the end of the movement range 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30. The second clamp carrier 4 has moved the clamped fabric web 1 in the take-off direction through the movement range 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30 while maintaining the fabric take-off tension, so that the front end of the fabric web 1 resting on the table 7, or the already woven fabric web 1, passes through the support frame device 8 to be gripped by the additional clamping device 10.

[0054] For this purpose, the cantilever beam 9 with the additional clamping device 10 and the cutting device 11 located thereon is moved vertically downwards into the working position (see arrow), and the front edge of the fabric web 1 is inserted into the additional clamping device 10 and the cutting device 11, which are in an open state, i.e., do not fix the fabric web 1. The working position is determined such that the fabric web 1 rests with its underside on the lower clamping surface 6 (see also Fig. 4) of the additional clamping device 10 without deflection.

[0055] At the same time as the second clamp carrier 4, the opened first clamp carrier 3 has also moved in the withdrawal direction 5 in order to be able to take over the clamping of the fabric web 1 in a later process step (see Fig. 7.4).

[0056] Figure 7.4 shows the next process step. The fabric web 1, guided in the take-off direction 5, is first grasped and clamped by the additional clamping device 10 (see arrow). This can preferably be done in the area of the auxiliary sections 1.2, but is not mandatory; it depends on the requirements of the product and its further processing. For this purpose, the additional clamping device 10 is moved horizontally on the cantilever beam 9 of the support frame device 8 and positioned accordingly, taking into account the usable length of the cantilever beam 9. By clamping the fabric web 1, the additional clamping device 10 assumes a holding tension in the direction of the weaving machine, more precisely in the direction of the clamp supports 3, 4 of the horizontal take-off device 30. This holding tension is lower than the take-off tension applied by the clamp supports 3, 4 and prevents the fabric web 1 from sagging.Since the production speed of the fabric web 1 is low during the manufacture of a three-dimensional fabric, the holding tension decreases only to a negligible extent, even though the fabric web 1 continues to be produced continuously and is drawn off by means of the horizontal draw-off device 30. However, by further horizontally moving the additional clamping device 10 in the draw-off direction, the holding tension can be readjusted if necessary (see also Fig. 7.5).

[0057] After the additional clamping device 10 has established the holding tension, the first clamp carrier 3 takes over the clamping of the fabric web 1 within the horizontal take-off device 30 (see arrow) and thus also the complete tensioning of the fabric web 1 in the direction of the weaving machine. Subsequently, the second clamp carrier 4, which is located near the end of the movement range 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30 in the take-off direction 5, releases the fabric web 1 (see arrow). The take-off tension is now applied by the first clamp carrier 3, which conveys the fabric web 1 further in the take-off direction 5 at the aforementioned production speed.

[0058] Figure 7.5 shows how the opened second clamp support 4 of the horizontal take-off device 30 moves back towards the first clamp support 3 in the opposite direction of take-off 5. In doing so, the second clamp support 4 takes the table(s) 7 coupled to it with it. The additional clamping device 10 continues to maintain the holding tension of the fabric web 1 and thus enables the table(s) 7 to move back beneath the fabric web 1 without the fabric web resting on the table 7 being moved back by the table 7. The additional clamping device 10 with the clamped fabric web 1 was readjusted in the take-off direction to maintain the holding tension in the fabric web 1, while the weaving process continues to run continuously at the production speed ensured by the first clamp support 3.

[0059] As soon as, as shown in Figure 7.6, the opened second clamp carrier 4 has reached the closed first clamp carrier 3 by moving in the opposite direction of the pull-off direction, the second clamp carrier 4 resumes clamping the fabric web 1 (see arrow). Subsequently, the first clamp carrier 3 opens and releases the fabric web 1 (see arrow). Thus, the second clamp carrier 4 resumes the pull-off tension. The additional clamping device 10 opens and releases the fabric web 1 (see arrow), i.e., the holding tension is released.

[0060] By moving the second clamp support 4 again toward the end of the horizontal take-off device 30 facing away from the weaving machine (this process is not shown here), the produced fabric web 1 continues to be continuously conveyed at production speed in the take-off direction. The already produced fabric web rests on the table(s) 7, which are moved along by the second clamp support 4. Also not shown here is the fact that the now opened first clamp support 3 can be moved back to the side of the horizontal take-off device 30 facing the weaving machine. However, it can also maintain its position within the range of motion 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30 or move in the take-off direction.

[0061] Figure 7.7 shows the state or situation in which the weaving machine has woven a section of fabric web that is to be cut to length. For this purpose, the cutting device is positioned horizontally on the cantilever beam 9. Preferably, the cutting or cutting of the fabric web 1 takes place in the area of an auxiliary section 1.2. However, the cutting can also take place at any other desired position on the fabric web 1, provided the length of the support frame device 8, or more precisely the usable length of the cantilever beam 9, permits this.

[0062] The additional clamping device 10 is usually open during the cutting process.

[0063] However, for certain fabrics, it is also advantageous to apply a slight clamping force to the fabric web 1 during the cutting process using the additional clamping device 10. However, this application is not shown here.

[0064] After the fabric web 1 has been cut to length or cut, the fabric web section placed on the table 7 can be removed from the device for further storage or transport, and the process can begin again from the beginning as described above.

[0065] Not shown here, but also possible, is a method according to the invention in which only a first terminal carrier 3 is used instead of a first terminal carrier 3 and a second terminal carrier 4.

[0066] This first clamp carrier 3 moves in the closed state while applying the fabric take-off tension within the range of movement 17 of the horizontal take-off device 30 at production speed in the take-off direction 5 towards the support frame device 8 and in the process conveys the clamped fabric web 1 into the engagement area of the additional clamping device 10. Here too, the fabric web 1 is grasped and clamped by the additional clamping device 10 in order to generate a holding tension in the direction of the weaving machine, more precisely in the direction of the first clamp carrier 3 of the horizontal take-off device 30. If only one clamp carrier is present, e.g. here the first clamp carrier 3, the weaving process is stopped before it is opened and the fabric web 1 is released, since after the first clamp carrier 3 is opened, there is no longer any clamp carrier engaged which generates the fabric take-off tension. The additional clamping device 10 now still only applies a holding tension in the direction of the weaving machine, which is lower than the take-off tension. Only after the opened first clamp carrier 3 of the horizontal take-off device 30 has moved back toward the weaving machine and has resumed the take-off tension by clamping the fabric web 1 again does the weaving process start again, and the first clamp carrier 3 conveys the clamped fabric web 1 at production speed in the take-off direction 5. The clamping of the fabric web 1 by means of the additional clamping device 10 and the severing of the fabric web 1 by the cutting device 11 take place analogously to that already described in Figures 7.1 to 7.7.

[0067] While the actual horizontal take-off device 30 is known, the device according to the invention is a device in which the known part of the horizontal take-off device 30 is supplemented by an additional clamping device 10, which replaces a previously manually required activity with a mechanical device, namely holding the front leading end of the produced fabric web section or the fabric web 1 for so long that after the clamping of the fabric web by the clamp carrier 3, 4 is released, the fabric tension or the holding tension in the fabric web 1 is maintained, and is supplemented by a cutting device 11, with which the fabric web is severed or cut to length.
