Description

[0001] Electric lamp

[0002] The invention relates to an electric lamp with a lamp base body for mounting the lamp on a flat structure and with a lamp cover that is at least partially and at least partially translucent and with electrical components arranged on the lamp base body.

[0003] Such luminaires are well known from the prior art and consist of a luminaire base body on which electrical components, such as lamps and optionally a power supply, are usually arranged. The luminaire base body is suitable for being arranged on a flat structure such as a wall or ceiling of a room. In order to attach the luminaire base body, connect an electrical supply line to the electrical components and, if necessary, maintain the electrical components, a luminaire cover is usually detachably arranged over the luminaire base body with the electrical components arranged on it.

[0004] A particular challenge with such luminaires is to arrange the electrical components between the luminaire body and the luminaire cover in a way that is as dust-tight and water-protected as possible.

[0005] Therefore, it is an object of the invention to provide a luminaire of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the electrical components are particularly well protected against external influences. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the luminaire has a circumferential sealing element surrounding the electrical components, wherein the electrical components are arranged on a light side of the luminaire base body, wherein the sealing element is arranged in an edge region on the light side of the luminaire base body, wherein an inner circumference of the luminaire cover is adapted to an outer circumference of the luminaire base body such that the luminaire cover can be pushed onto the luminaire base body from the light side and can be brought into sealing engagement with the sealing element, wherein the luminaire cover protrudes at least in sections with at least one mounting section of the luminaire cover over the sealing element and over a mounting area of the luminaire base body away from the luminous side, wherein on a mounting side of the luminaire base body facing away from and opposite the luminous side in the mounting area of the luminaire base body, at least one locking arrangement with a spring-loaded locking element is arranged, which engages in a locking recess in the mounting section when the luminaire cover is pushed onto the luminaire base body. Due to the fact that the electrical components are arranged on the luminous side of the luminaire base body and the at least one locking arrangement is arranged on the opposite mounting side of the luminaire base body, the luminaire base body can be completely sealed with the sealing element relative to the luminaire cover,so that the illuminated side of the luminaire body and the luminaire cover enclose a space that is largely protected from dust and water, and the electrical components arranged therein are particularly well protected. The locking connection between the at least one mounting section of the luminaire cover and the locking arrangement can be easily released by displacing the locking element against a spring force exerted on the locking element by a spring of the locking arrangement. The sealing element is advantageously inserted into a groove provided in the edge region on the illuminated side of the luminaire body.

[0006] Since mounting holes are to be provided in the base body of the luminaire if necessary and a cable feedthrough is advantageously arranged in order to supply the electrical components with electrical energy, the invention provides that the mounting side is sealed off from the light side when the base body of the luminaire is mounted on the flat structure and the luminaire cover is pushed onto the base body of the luminaire. As soon as the luminaire is mounted, any recesses in the base body of the luminaire provided for mounting are sealed off. For example, according to the invention mounting holes can be provided in the base body of the luminaire through which screws can be led from the light side and connected to the flat structure. The screws can be pressed against the light side with sealing washers in order to seal off the mounting holes.

[0007] To achieve particularly good protection of the electrical components, the invention provides that the luminaire base body is waterproof and extends completely between the edge areas. The luminaire base body is advantageously manufactured in one piece and has only the holes and recesses absolutely necessary for mounting the base body to the flat structure. The luminaire base body is advantageously made of aluminum.

[0008] Advantageously, the invention provides that the base luminaire body is plate-shaped, the base luminaire body having a fastening section in a central region in which the luminaire can be placed against the flat structure, the base luminaire body having a connecting section which surrounds the fastening section and is offset in the direction of the light side, and the at least one locking arrangement is arranged on the connecting section so that the connecting section delimits the mounting area. This design offers the possibility of easily arranging the at least one locking arrangement between the flat structure and the base luminaire body. The fastening section forms a recess on the light side in which larger electrical components, such as a power supply unit, can be arranged without increasing the overall height of the luminaire.

[0009] In order to supply the electrical components with electrical energy, the invention provides that at least one cable feed-through recess is arranged in the luminaire base body, wherein the cable feed-through recess leads from the mounting side to the lighting side and is suitable for receiving an electrical cable, wherein a cable seal is arranged on an inner circumference of the cable feed-through recess, wherein the cable seal seals a cable arranged in the cable feed-through recess relative to the luminaire base body.

[0010] To prevent unwanted manipulation of the locking arrangement and also to protect the mounting side from external influences, the invention provides that the luminaire has a frame element, wherein the frame element laterally encloses the luminaire base body and the mounting section of the luminaire cover pushed onto the luminaire base body. The frame element can be a cover whose inner circumference is adapted to an outer circumference of the luminaire cover in the area of the mounting section and can be subsequently pushed over the mounted luminaire cover in order to conceal the mounting section.

[0011] In order to be able to actuate the locking element of the at least one locking arrangement even when using a frame element, the invention provides that at least one actuating recess is arranged in the frame element in such a way that the actuating recess is in register with the locking recess when the luminaire cover is pushed onto the luminaire base body, so that the locking element can be displaced through the actuating recess using a suitable tool against a spring force exerted on the locking element by a spring of the locking arrangement, so that the locking element can be pressed out of the locking recess and the luminaire cover can be detached from the luminaire base body. Advantageously, the invention provides that the frame element and the luminaire base body are formed in one piece. For this purpose, a plurality of mounting sections can advantageously be arranged at a distance from one another on the luminaire cover.Between the mounting sections, the frame element and the luminaire base body can merge into one another without affecting the sealing effect of the sealing element.

[0012] In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the luminaire according to the invention, the luminaire cover has four mounting sections, with two mounting sections arranged opposite one another. The use of four locking arrangements with four mounting sections ensures uniform closure of the luminaire.

[0013] Advantageously, the invention provides that the luminaire is essentially cuboid-shaped.

[0014] In order to achieve the lightest possible construction of the luminaire, the invention provides for the luminaire cover to be made of a plastic. Advantageously, the luminaire cover is transparent or translucent.

[0015] Further advantageous embodiments of the luminaire according to the invention are explained in more detail with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. They show:
