Abstract

[0001] The invention relates to a shoe comprising an elastic inner lining. Prior art shoes are known that have an upper opening at the instep, closed by a tongue. This tongue is attached to the anterior edge of the upper opening. In one embodiment, the tongue also comprises elastic inner side walls extending inside the upper, attaching at the junction between the upper and the sole. This construction allows the user's instep to be adjusted via the tongue, in order to press the user's foot towards or against the sole. Such a shoe structure offers performance advantages, particularly in terms of foot support and proprioception.
