[0056] Firstly, the liquid cosmetic holding body 10 according to a first exemplary embodiment (below referred to simply as the holding body 10) is described with reference to Fig. 3 to Fig. 5.
[0057] As illustrated in Fig. 3, the holding body 10 includes, as outer surfaces, an obverse surface 12, a reverse surface 14 and a side surface 16. The obverse surface 12 is a surface at a side of the holding body 10 that a user sees in a state in which the holding body 10 is disposed in a cosmetic container. The reverse surface 14 is a surface at the opposite side of the holding body 10 from the side thereof at which the obverse surface 12 is formed. The side surface 16 is a surface that links an outer edge of the obverse surface 12 with an outer edge of the reverse surface 14.

[0113] A porous resin was prepared in a circular column shape with diameter 46.5 mm and height 10 mm. This porous resin is an aggregation of polyolefin-based fibers and may be fabricated by, for example, the method recited in JP-A No. 2017-176816.

A Comparative Example was the same as Example 1 apart from not including the slits.

This operation was repeated 400 times for both Example 1 and the Comparative Example. An interval of about two months passed between applications 1-100 of the test and applications 101-400 of the test.
[0122] The paper was changed at intervals of 25 applications. The weight of each paper before 25 applications of liquid foundation was subtracted from the weight of the paper after the applications. Thus, an application amount to the paper for each 25 applications was calculated. The unit of weight is grams.

Claims
1. A liquid cosmetic holding body for holding a liquid cosmetic, the holding body comprising: an obverse surface; a reverse surface; and a slit formed from the obverse surface toward the reverse surface.
2. The liquid cosmetic holding body according to claim 1, wherein the slit penetrates from the obverse surface to the reverse surface.
3. The liquid cosmetic holding body according to claim 1, wherein: the slit includes a plurality of Y-shaped slits, each Y-shaped slit including a first slit extending in a first direction from a reference point of the Y-shaped slit, a second slit extending in a second direction from the reference point of the Y-shaped slit, and a third slit extending in a third direction from the reference point of the Y-shaped slit; the first direction, second direction and third direction are all directions along the obverse surface; the second direction is a direction angled at substantially 120° relative to the first direction; the third direction is a direction angled at substantially 240° relative to the first direction; and, the plurality of Y-shaped slits are arrayed such that the first directions, the second directions and the third directions line up and the plurality of Y-shaped slits form a plurality of triangular blocks.
4. The liquid cosmetic holding body according to claim 3, wherein: a length of the first slit is at least 50% of a distance between the Y-shaped slit and another of the Y-shaped slits that is disposed to the side in the first direction relative to the Y-shaped slit; a length of the second slit is at least 50% of a distance between the Y-shaped slit and another of the Y-shaped slits that is disposed to the side in the second direction relative to the Y-shaped slit; and a length of the third slit is at least 50% of a distance between the Y-shaped slit and another of the Y-shaped slits that is disposed to the side in the third direction relative to the Y-shaped slit.
5. The liquid cosmetic holding body according to claim 4, wherein: the length of the first slit is at most 90% of the distance between the Y-shaped slit and the another of the Y-shaped slits that is disposed to the side in the first direction relative to the Y-shaped slit; the length of the second slit is at most 90% of the distance between the Y-shaped slit and the another of the Y-shaped slits that is disposed to the side in the second direction relative to the Y-shaped slit; and the length of the third slit is at most 90% of the distance between the Y-shaped slit and the another of the Y-shaped slits that is disposed to the side in the third direction relative to the Y-shaped slit.
6. The liquid cosmetic holding body according to claim 1, wherein the slit includes an annular slit along an outer edge of the holding body, the annular slit dividing the holding body into a central region and an outer edge region.
7. The liquid cosmetic holding body according to claim 6, wherein the central region includes a plurality of outer side extension regions that are regions at the outer side relative to an imaginary circle inscribing the annular slit.
8. The liquid cosmetic holding body according to claim 7, wherein the annular slit includes a plurality of bow-shaped portions that are curved in bow shapes protruding toward the outer edge of the holding body.
9. The liquid cosmetic holding body according to claim 6, wherein density of the outer side region is higher than density of the central region.
10. The liquid cosmetic holding body according to claim 1, wherein the holding body is an aggregation of fibers with core-sheath structures.
