That is, a package includes a front portion formed of a material having flexibility into a plate-like shape; an opening portion provided in the front portion, the opening portion having a length smaller than a dimension in a longitudinal direction of a packaged item and a width corresponding to a dimension in a widthwise direction of the packaged item; a back portion formed in a plate-like shape having a dimension in a longitudinal direction smaller than a dimension in a longitudinal direction of the front portion, the back portion being configured to be located to face the front portion; and a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion configured to, in a state substantially upright with respect to the back portion, connect ends of the front portion and the back portion and other ends of the front portion and the back portion, respectively, and the package is configured to accommodate the packaged item in a state where the front portion is curved to protrude toward the back portion and where both ends of the packaged item in the longitudinal direction are inserted underneath the front portion toward the back portion. (2) Optionally, the package according to the present invention may be composed of a sheet-like body, in which the first connecting portion, the back portion, the second connecting portion, and the front portion are arranged in this order, and to which roll-folding line formation process is applied; and the package may further include a slit portion formed in an end portion of the package on a side of the first connecting portion, and a protruding portion provided in an end portion of the package on a side of the front portion, the protruding portion being configured to be inserted into the slit portion. (3) Optionally, in the package according to the present invention, the packaged item may be a writing instrument including a clip, and the opening portion may include a cutout portion having a shape corresponding to a shape of the clip at an end of the opening portion toward the protruding portion. (4) Optionally, the package according to the present invention may further include a first through hole provided between an end of the first connecting portion and the slit portion, a plate-like portion formed of an end portion of the front portion extending in a plate-like shape, and a second through hole formed by cutting the protruding portion out from the plate-like portion; and the first connecting portion may be configured to be folded toward the front portion by being bent at a transverse line including the slit portion, and the protruding portion may be configured to be inserted into the slit portion in a state where an end portion of the writing instrument is inserted into the first through hole. FIGS. 2A-2C are exemplary front, rear, and rightward side views of the package according to the present embodiment. For describing the present embodiment, a writing instrument is used as an example of a product to be accommodated in the package (also referred to as a packaged item 51), but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. For example, the package may be used for accommodating cosmetics such as an eyeliner, cutlery such as a spoon, a fork, and a knife, and other products having an elongated shape.

If not equal, an error in dimension between the lengths is preferably within ±2 mm.

However, when the length of the back portion 13 in the minor-axis direction is excessively smaller than the length of the front portion 11 in the minor-axis direction, strength of the back portion 13 may be reduced, and once the writing instrument is accommodated, the package 1 may not maintain the shape thereof. Accordingly, it is more preferable that the length of the back portion 13 in the minor-axis direction is smaller than the length of the front portion 11 in the minor-axis direction by approximately 2 mm.

Claims

1. A package comprising: a front portion formed of a material having flexibility into a plate-like shape; an opening portion provided in the front portion, the opening portion having a length smaller than a dimension in a longitudinal direction of a packaged item and a width corresponding to a dimension in a widthwise direction of the packaged item; a back portion formed in a plate-like shape having a dimension in a longitudinal direction smaller than a dimension in a longitudinal direction of the front portion, the back portion being configured to be located to face the front portion; and a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion configured to, in a state substantially upright with respect to the back portion, connect ends of the front portion and the back portion and other ends of the front portion and the back portion, respectively, wherein the package is configured to accommodate the packaged item in a state where the front portion is curved to protrude toward the back portion and where both ends of the packaged item in the longitudinal direction are inserted underneath the front portion toward the back portion.

2. The package according to claim 1, wherein the package is composed of a sheet-like body, in which the first connecting portion, the back portion, the second connecting portion, and the front portion are arranged in this order, and to which roll-folding line formation process is applied; and wherein the package further comprises: a slit portion formed in an end portion of the package on a side of the first connecting portion; and a protruding portion provided in an end portion of the package on a side of the front portion, the protruding portion being configured to be inserted into the slit portion.

3. The package according to claim 2, wherein the packaged item is a writing instrument including a clip, and wherein the opening portion includes a cutout portion having a shape corresponding to a shape of the clip at an end of the opening portion toward the protruding portion.

4. The package according to claim 3, further comprising: a first through hole provided between an end of the first connecting portion and the slit portion; a plate-like portion formed of an end portion of the front portion extending in a plate-like shape; and a second through hole formed by cutting the protruding portion out from the plate-like portion, wherein the first connecting portion is configured to be folded toward the front portion by being bent at a transverse line including the slit portion, and the protruding portion is configured to be inserted into the slit portion in a state where an end portion of the writing instrument is inserted into the first through hole.
