Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a container for transporting garments. In particular, it applies to the field of packaging intended for transferring objects that require specific protection due to their shape and material consistency.
[0002] Containers specifically designed to allow for the transport of garments hanging on respective hangers are known in the commercial sector. These commonly used containers are made of cardboard, are shaped like a parallelepiped and comprise plastic parts where hangers can be inserted to hang garments. Other commercially available containers provide a cardboard tube-shaped part inserted inside the volume of the box.
[0003] Boxes having the function of transporting garments, therefore, are usually made of several parts assembled together to create a space where to attach hangers.
[0004] However, existing solutions have criticalities, as they involve objects made of materials that are not environmentally sustainable and can hardly be reused (such as plastic) or do not guarantee an efficient optimisation in the use of cardboard, using several pieces assembled together.
[0005] The technical task of the present invention is thus to make available a container for transporting garments that is capable of overcoming the drawbacks of the prior art.
[0006] An object of the present invention is to make available a container for transporting garments that allows to use a box consisting of a single cardboard piece with a hanger housing zone.
[0007] The aforementioned technical task and object are achieved by a container for transporting garments comprising the technical characteristics set forth in one or more of the appended claims.

[0009] In particular, the present invention relates to a container for transporting garments comprising a main body made of at least one die-cut material, and for example made in a single piece of die-cut material.

[0011] The die-cut material defines both a containment volume for at least one garment and a fixing portion facing the containment volume and configured to engage, when said container is in use, a hanger.
[0012] This fixing portion is made from a rollable hem, has at least one engagement cavity associable with said hanger, and has at least twice the thickness of said die-cut material at said engagement cavity. Advantageously, the double layer of die-cut material gives the structure strong stability and allows the garment to be supported without sagging. These and other characteristics, together with their relative advantages, will be made clearer by the following non-limiting exemplary description of a preferred, and therefore non-exclusive, embodiment of a container for transporting garments, as illustrated in the attached drawing tables, wherein: Figure 1 shows a front view of an open blank of said garment holding container with a single hole; Figure 2 shows a front view of an open blank of said garment holding container with two holes; Figure 3 shows a front view of an open blank of said garment holding container with three holes; Figure 4 shows a perspective view of the container with a rolled fixing portion; Figures 5a, 5b and 5c show three assembly steps of the fixing portion; and Figure 6 shows a perspective view of a closed garment holding container.
[0013] With reference to the appended Figures, number 1 identifies a container for transporting garments according to the present invention.
[0014] The present invention thus applies to the arrangement of a garment container 1 comprising a main body made of at least one die-cut material and defining a containment volume 2 for at least one garment and a fixing portion 3 facing the containment volume. This portion is configured to receive a hanger for a garment when the container is in use.
[0015] The containment volume 2 develops along its own development axis "A" and the fixing portion 3 develops perpendicular to "A", along a development axis "B".
[0016] From a functional perspective, the containment volume 2 has the shape of a wardrobe with doors, inside which the fixing portion 3 is inserted. According to an aspect of the invention, the main body of the container is made in a single piece of die-cut material (e.g. the main body is made of cardboard).
[0017] Furthermore, this garment container is characterised in that the fixing portion 3 is made from a rollable hem of the same die-cut material as the main body and has at least one hanger-associable engagement cavity. The fixing portion 3 further comprises a plurality of flaps 5 and, in the specific example shown, these flaps may be seven.
[0018] At least two flaps of the plurality of flaps 5 cooperatively define the engagement cavity 4 by the overlapping, in rolling conditions, of the rollable hem.
[0019] In fact, during the process of assembling the fixing portion, two of the flaps belonging to the plurality of flaps 5 are positioned so as to overlap each other. This arrangement, which is specifically made at the engagement cavity, allows to create a double layer of material in that area.

The increased thickness provides a greater ability to bear the mechanical stresses exerted during use, thus reducing the risk of material failure, cracking or deformation.
[0022] The invention disclosed herein makes it possible to create, by rolling the plurality of flaps 5, different configurations comprising from one to three pairs of engagement cavities 4.
[0023] As shown in Figure 1, in rolling conditions, the engagement cavity 4 comprises a first hole 8 and a second hole 9 spaced from the first hole 8 by a bridge 10 into which a hook of said hanger is attachable.
[0024] In Figures 2 and 3, the number of holes in the engagement cavities has increased, in particular Figure 2 shows the case where holes 8 and 9 have doubled while Figure 3 shows the case where holes 8 and 9 have tripled. In one embodiment, the two holes 8 and 9 have a different shape: a first hole 8 has an elongated shape configured to house the insertion of said hanger hook, and a second hole 9 is punctiform and is configured for the passage of one end of the hanger hook.
[0025] Furthermore, when the container 1 and, specifically, the rolling portion 3 is in a rolling condition at least two of the flaps 5 have respective engagement cavities 4 that are either aligned with or overlapping each other.
[0026] In other words, in case two pairs of holes are present, the engagement cavities 4 with the holes are aligned with each other along the same axis. Conversely, in case three pairs of holes are present, the engagement cavities 4 with holes 8 and 9 are still aligned, but their arrangement is overlapping, alternating with respect to the band corresponding to each consecutive pair.
[0027] In general, the engagement cavities are between two and four and are arranged as staggered along the fixing axis "B".
[0028] In order for the rolling condition to be maintained, the fixing portion 3 of the container 1 comprises a set of stabilising means comprising a plurality of attachment seats 6 formed in one or more of the flaps 5 and a plurality of attachment fins 7 embedded in said attachment seats 6 in a rolling condition of said rollable hem.
[0029] Figures 5a, 5b and 5c show the assembly steps of the stabilising means 6 so as to stably close the rolling portion 3.

[0035] More specifically, the invention is characterised by the use of a single piece of die-cut cardboard, which allows the creation of a garment holding container provided with a fixing portion, identified with reference 3, specifically designed to allow the attachment and support of one or more hangers. This configuration offers a number of practical, functional and environmental advantages over traditional solutions involving additional materials or components.

The absence of additional components, such as plastic parts or other non-recyclable materials, makes it possible to significantly reduce waste, improving production efficiency. Claims
1. Container for transporting garments (1) comprising a main body made of at least one die-cut material, said main body being preferably made in a single piece of die-cut material, said die-cut material being even more preferably cardboard, and defining: - a containment volume (2) for at least one garment; and - a fixing portion (3) facing said containment volume (2) and configured to engage, when said container (1) is in use, a hanger for said garment, characterised in that said fixing portion (3) is made from a rollable hem of said die-cut material and has at least one engagement cavity (4) associable with said hanger, said fixing portion (3) having at least twice the thickness of said die-cut material at said engagement cavity (4).

Container according to claim 1, wherein said containment volume (2) develops along its own development axis (A) and wherein said fixing portion (3) develops perpendicular to said development axis (A) along a fixing axis (B) and comprises a plurality of flaps (5), at least two of said flaps (5) cooperatively defining said engagement cavity (4) by respective overlapping, in rolling conditions, of said rollable hem.
3. Container according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said flaps (5) are at least seven and at least two of said flaps (5) have respective engagement cavities (4) which, when said rollable hem is in rolling conditions, are aligned with and / or overlapping each other.

Container according to one or more of the preceding claims, wherein the fixing portion (3) further comprises stabilising means adapted to maintain a rolling condition, said stabilising means comprising: - a plurality of attachment seats (6) formed in one or more of the flaps (5); and - a plurality of attachment fins (7) embedded in said attachment seats (6) in rolling conditions of said rollable hem.
5. Container according to one or more of the preceding claims, wherein said rollable hem defines, in rolling conditions, a tubular structure with a polygonal, preferably rectangular or even more preferably square cross-section defining said fixing portion (3).
6. Container according to one or more of the preceding claims, wherein the engagement cavity (4) comprises a first hole (8) and a second hole (9) spaced from said first hole (8) by a bridge (10) in which a hook of said hanger is attachable.
7. Container according to claim 6, wherein said first hole (8) has an elongated shape configured to house the insertion of said hanger hook, said second hole (9) being substantially point-like and being configured for the passage of one end of said hanger hook.
8. Container according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said fixing portion (3) has a plurality of engagement cavities (4), said engagement cavities (4) being preferably between two and four and being even more preferably staggered along said fixing axis (B).
9. Fixing portion (3) preferably associable with a container (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, comprising: - a plurality of flaps (5) arranged in sequence and defining a fixing axis (B); and - at least two engagement cavities (4) arranged on two flaps (5), said two engagement cavities (4) being positioned in an overlapping condition in rolling conditions of said flaps (5).
10. Kit for transporting garments comprising: - a container (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims; - at least one fixing portion (3) of said container (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims; and - at least one hanger attachable to said at least one fixing portion (3) of said container (1) in correspondence of at least one engagement cavity (4).
