Description

Field of the invention

[0001] The object of the present invention is a normally metal carpentry structure, particularly made of extruded aluminium, formed by an inner profile and an outer profile, for the configuration of a plinth, said plinth being provided with heating means.State of the art

[0002] Profiles that make up a skirting board are well known. Skirting boards are traditionally made of ceramic materials and have two main functions: on the one hand, to hide the irregularities of the junction between the floor and the corresponding wall, and on the other hand, to protect the wall against various actions, especially the wall on which it is placed. These actions are, for example, cleaning, where a mop comes into contact with the wall and floor and if there is no protection it will gradually become dirty, or the passage of people, whose footwear may frequently come into contact with the lower part of the wall.

[0003] Detachable skirting boards have been developed, as can be seen in ES1243025U, by the same inventor.

[0004] These skirting boards have various functions. Firstly, in case they are installed on walls formed by cladding panels, they have a function for supporting the panels, in addition to acting as a guide during assembly of said panels, which greatly facilitates the installation and correct levelling of all panels. Furthermore, if they are used on walls with cladding panels, they are also skirting boards that can be flush with the wall, which increases their aesthetic effect.

[0005] Furthermore, whether they are used on walls with cladding panels or on masonry walls, these skirting boards leave a gap between the inner profile and the outer profile suitable for the passage of cables, which allows quick access (as the outer profile can be easily and quickly detached from the inner profile) to the gap either for repair, replacement or for passing a cable through said gap. Furthermore, in some embodiments of these skirting boards, the outer profile has a thickening of the gap between the outer profile and the inner profile, thus allowing the passage of heating pipes between the two profiles, although this affects the aesthetics of the skirting board.

[0006] On the other hand, there are thin heating panels that emit a considerable amount of heat. Some of these panels are formed by a base made of an insulating material comprising a set of electrically powered conductive elements adhered to it. Over this assembly is an area with a conductive paint that constitutes a heat dissipation region when the conductive elements are fed.

[0007] Heating panels are therefore a heating element that takes up little space due to their reduced thickness, they heat the room without lifting air, and they do not dry out the air, among other advantages.

[0008] The present invention therefore provides a detachable skirting board comprising a heating plate adhered to its inner profile, which provides the following advantages, among others: It provides an aesthetically pleasing skirting board (no widening) which in turn comprises heating means. It facilitates the installation of a heating system, as by only providing a light point for the heating plate, a heating system can be installed at the same time that the skirting board is installed. It can be installed on new walls (e.g., masonry walls or cladding panels) or on existing walls (e.g., masonry walls), only by attaching the inner profile to the lower edge of the wall. Due to its location on the floor of the room, it provides a heating system that favours natural convection, a process in which warm air rises and cold air descends, generating efficient thermal circulation. It provides a sustainable and environmentally friendly heating system, due to its low consumption. Description of the invention

[0009] The skirting board of the present invention is formed by an inner profile, which can be installed on walls formed by cladding panels (e.g., laminated gypsum panels) or on masonry walls (formed by bricks and a cladding). In the case of walls formed by cladding panels, the inner profile is attached either to the same surface as are the cladding panels, usually screwed to the omega profiles or to the uprights of the structure for supporting said panels. In this case, an outer profile can be flush with the cladding panel after installation, if so configured. In the case of masonry walls, the inner profile is attached directly to the lower edge of the wall, an outer profile is attached to the same and the assembly protrudes slightly from the plane of the wall.

[0010] In either case, the inner profile is formed by a main body, preferably flat, comprising a set of extensions; and the outer profile is formed by a main body comprising a set of extensions; wherein, between the extensions of the inner profile and the extensions of the outer profile, there is an elastic retention when they are inserted between each other. Preferably (although it could also be the other way around), the extensions of the inner profile form the "female element" of the coupling, and the extensions of the outer profile are inserted between said extensions of the inner profile, the extensions of the inner profile comprising a set of housings provided for protrusions formed in the extensions of the outer profile. Preferably, there are two extensions on the inner profile and two extensions on the outer profile.

[0011] Preferably, the part of the main body of the inner profile below the extensions is flat and reaches down to the floor, and optionally comprises a supporting foot with the floor.

[0012] According to one embodiment option, at least the part of the main body of the inner profile above the extensions is flat, and a heating plate is adhered to its outer side (the side facing the outer profile).

[0013] According to another embodiment option, the entire main body of the inner profile is flat, and a heating plate is adhered to the rear side (the side facing the wall), partially or completely occupying the main body.

[0014] Said heating plate can be attached to the inner profile in any way, as it can be glued, screwed (e.g., using the screws with which the inner profile is attached to the wall), or adhered by any other known attachment method.

[0015] Once the heating plate is mounted, and the inner profile is attached to the wall, said heating plate is covered either by a cladding panel (as said cladding panels rest on the upper extension of the inner profile) or by the outer profile, if the cladding panel does not cover the heating plate.Brief description of the drawings

[0016] With the aim of illustrating the explanation below, a set of figures representing, by way of example and without limitation, the object of the present invention is included in the present specification and shows the following: Figure 1 shows an embodiment of the skirting board with heating plate, wherein the heating plate is adhered to the outer side of the inner profile. Figure 2 shows an embodiment of the skirting board with heating plate, wherein the heating plate is adhered to the entire inner side of the inner profile (1). Figure 3 shows a view of the skirting board with heating plate, wherein the heating plate is adhered to a portion of the inner side of the inner profile (1). Description of the preferred embodiments of the invention

[0017] As shown in the figures, the inner profile (1) is formed by a main body, preferably flat, comprising a pair of extensions (11) forming the "female element" of the coupling between same and an outer profile, wherein the extensions of the outer profile are inserted between the extensions (11) of the inner profile, the extensions of the inner profile comprising a set of housings provided for protrusions formed in the extensions of the outer profile.

[0018] Preferably, the lower part (12) of the main body of the inner profile below the extensions is flat and reaches down to the floor, and comprises a supporting foot (13) with the floor.

[0019] According to one embodiment option, as shown in figure 1, the upper part (14) of the main body of the inner profile above the extensions is flat, and a heating plate (2) is adhered to its outer side.

[0020] According to another embodiment option, as shown in figure 2, the entire main body of the inner profile is flat, and a heating plate (2) is adhered to the entire inner side of the main body.

[0021] Figure 3 shows another embodiment in which the heating plate (2) is adhered to a flat inner portion of the inner profile (1).

[0022] In both embodiments, preferably, the heating plate (2) is formed by a base made of an insulating material comprising a set of electrically powered conductive elements adhered to it. Over this assembly is an area with a conductive paint that constitutes a heat dissipation region when the conductive elements are fed.
