Description

Universal adapter for jigsaws TECHNICAL SECTOR The present invention relates to a universal adapter for jigsaws, designed to improve working conditions in construction, carpentry and DIY activities. The device uses the airflow generated by the tool's motor to channel it towards the cutting area and deflect chips and dust away from the work area. This adapter is a practical and effective solution that allows for better visibility during cutting, protects the internal components of the tool, and contributes to a cleaner and safer working environment. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION During the use of power tools, especially jigsaws, waste, shavings or molten material are generated that can accumulate in the work area. This buildup reduces visibility, affects accuracy, and can compromise the safety and durability of the tool. Some manufacturers integrate blower or vacuum systems, but these are usually model-specific or inefficient. Therefore, there is a need for a universal adapter that utilizes the tool's airflow to improve debris removal and keep the work area clean, without requiring structural modifications or additional accessories. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The proposed device fully and satisfactorily resolves the aforementioned problem, based on a simple but effective solution. To achieve this, the adapter utilizes the jigsaw motor's exhaust air and redirects it through a duct to the cutting blade, where it diverts the sawdust or shavings generated during the cutting process. This directed airflow prevents the accumulation of debris in the work area, improving cutting accuracy and reducing risks associated with visual obstruction or tool overheating. The device incorporates a quick-release clip system, allowing for tool-free installation and removal, and is compatible with various jigsaw models. The adapter's basic structure comprises: • An air inlet, connected to the tool's motor ventilation flow. • An air outlet, directed towards the cutting area. • A conduit tube that connects both sections and directs the airflow from the engine to the blade. The adapter is designed to be manufactured from polymeric material suitable for 3D printing, allowing for fast, economical, and customizable production. Furthermore, it can be made from different materials according to demand, without specifying specific types, since this does not affect the functional principle of the invention. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of the figures described, it can be observed how the adapter of the invention is made up of a body (1), based on polymeric material for 3D printing, adaptable to the jigsaw, to which it is attached through two extreme gripping tabs (2). In said body (1) an air inlet (3) is defined connected to the ventilation flow of the saw motor, as well as an air outlet (4) oriented towards the cutting blade. This outlet projects the air generated by the jigsaw motor towards the work area to create a flow that removes the sawdust generated during cutting, leaving the area perfectly visible and therefore facilitating precision in cutting.
