Description

Portable oral hygiene device OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention, as its title indicates, is a portable device for oral hygiene. It is an innovation that, within the framework of current techniques, offers advantages previously unknown. The present invention is characterized by the special functional and constructive characteristics of the elements that form part of the device, so that all of them contribute to the achievement of a portable device for oral hygiene that allows oral cleaning by irrigation, directly taking advantage of the water pressure from a domestic tap. TECHNICAL SECTOR The present invention falls within the technical sector of devices for oral hygiene, and more specifically within the field of oral irrigators and water jet oral cleaning devices, intended for the care, cleaning and maintenance of teeth, gums and interdental spaces, both in the domestic environment and in situations of travel or occasional use. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The prior art includes various devices for oral hygiene through irrigation, such as electric oral irrigators, which use motorized pumps to generate a pressurized water jet. While effective, these devices present several drawbacks, including their high cost, the need for a power source, their larger size and weight, and reduced portability, thus limiting their use outside the typical home environment. On the other hand, many of the known devices lack interchangeable heads or configurations adaptable to different cleaning needs, mimicking their versatility and effectiveness depending on the different oral conditions of the users. Consequently, it is necessary to have an oral hygiene device that overcomes the aforementioned limitations, offering a simple, economical, portable and safe solution that allows direct use of domestic mains water pressure without the need for electrical components or additional pumping systems. With reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, although various designs of oral irrigators are known, the existence of any other that presents structural and constitutive technical characteristics equal or similar to those presented by the invention claimed herein is unknown. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION In particular, the object of the invention consists of providing a device comprising a head connected to a flexible conduit, attachable to a direct connection adapter to the outlet of a water tap, allowing the circulation of water to the head and its expulsion under pressure through at least one nozzle. All this is achieved through a simple, portable and low-cost structural solution that does not require electrical power or pumping systems, facilitating its daily use and transport. Specifically, what the invention proposes, as noted above, is a portable device intended for oral hygiene by irrigation, designed to directly utilize the water pressure from the domestic supply network. The device is designed to channel the flow of water from a tap to an application area in the oral cavity, allowing for the effective cleaning of teeth, gums, and interdental spaces without the need for electrical elements or mechanical propulsion systems. The device's design allows for continuous water flow from the tap connection point to the outlet head, ensuring controlled water expulsion through at least one nozzle. This configuration facilitates the generation of a water jet suitable for removing food debris and plaque, contributing to improved oral hygiene in a simple and effective way. The invention includes an adapter for different types of taps, giving the device a universal character and allowing its use in various domestic settings without the need for specific adapters. Furthermore, the possibility of incorporating additional fixing elements has been provided to increase stability during use, while also ensuring safe operation in the event of water pressure increases. Additionally, the device is designed for high versatility, allowing it to adapt to different oral hygiene needs. To achieve this, the nozzle can be configured in various ways, such as different water outlet arrangements or the addition of complementary cleaning elements, thus expanding the device's application possibilities. Overall, the invention provides a practical, economical and easily transportable solution for oral hygiene, which reduces the technical complexity of known systems, improves their accessibility and facilitates their regular use without requiring complex maintenance or additional power sources. The start and stop of the water supply is carried out directly through the tap itself, from which the water pressure applied to the device, as well as the temperature of the water supplied, is also controlled, allowing the user to easily and immediately adjust the operating conditions during use. Unless otherwise stated, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the meanings commonly understood by a person skilled in the art to which this invention pertains. Similar or equivalent procedures and materials to those described herein may be used in the practice of this invention. Figure 2 is a detailed perspective representation of the adapter (3) in a bell-shaped embodiment. Figure 3 is a detailed perspective representation of the adapter (3) in an embodiment with a body (9) comprising a free-spinning threaded coupling (8) fixed to the water outlet thread of a tap (4). Figure 4 is a detailed side view of the adapter (3) in an embodiment with a body (9) comprising a rotary joint (10) in a straight position. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of the figures, a preferred, though not limiting, embodiment of the proposed invention is described below, which consists of a portable device for oral hygiene. As shown in the figures, the portable oral hygiene device comprises a head (1) connected to a flexible conduit (2), which is coupled to an adapter (3) configured for direct connection to the outlet of a water tap (4). The portable oral hygiene device is hollow, so that when the tap (4) is opened, water flows from the supply network through the adapter (3) and the conduit (2) to the head (1), from where it is expelled under pressure through at least one nozzle (5). The adapter (3) in one embodiment has a bell-shaped form and is made of a flexible and elastic material, which allows it to be tightly coupled to tap mouths (4) of different diameters and geometries, giving it a universal character. Depending on the embodiment, the adapter (3) may include additional fastening means (6), such as adjustable clamps or other fastening elements, intended to secure the adapter (3) to the tap (4) and improve the stability of the assembly during use. However, the device is configured so that, in the event of excessive water pressure, the adapter (3) can detach from the tap (4), acting as a safety feature to prevent damage or overpressure in the system. In another embodiment, the adapter (3) comprises a body (9) with an outlet (11) at one end where the conduit (2) is coupled, while at the other end it comprises a free-spinning threaded coupling (8) configured for attachment to the water outlet thread of a tap (4). Additionally, the body (9) may comprise a rotary joint (10) arranged at a 45° angle, which allows adjusting the orientation of the outlet (11) of said body (9), to which the conduit (2) is attached. Furthermore, the device's nozzle (1) is preferably interchangeable, allowing it to be replaced with other nozzles (1) with different configurations according to specific oral hygiene needs. These nozzles (1) can have different geometries, incorporate one or more nozzles (5) with different water outlet patterns, and optionally integrate brushing elements, such as brushes (7), designed to complement the action of the water jet and improve the cleaning of teeth, gums, and interdental spaces. This configuration provides a simple, portable, and low-cost device that allows oral hygiene by irrigation, directly utilizing the water pressure from the domestic network, without the need for electrical components or additional pumping systems. Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to make its explanation more extensive so that any expert in the field may understand its scope and the advantages that derive from it, it being noted that, within its essentiality, it may be put into practice in other modes of embodiment that differ in detail from the one indicated as an example, and which will also achieve the protection sought provided that its fundamental principle is not altered, changed or modified.

Claims

1. A portable oral hygiene device, characterized in that it comprises a head (1) connected to a flexible conduit (2), which is coupled to an adapter (3) configured for connection to the outlet of a water tap (4), the device being configured in a hollow manner to allow water to flow from the tap (4) through the adapter (3) and the conduit (2) to the head (1), from where it is expelled under pressure through at least one nozzle (5).

2. A portable oral hygiene device, according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the adapter (3) is made of a flexible and elastic material, allowing its watertight coupling to tap outlets (4) of different diameters and geometries.

A portable oral hygiene device, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adapter (3) comprises fastening means (6) configured to secure said adapter (3) to the tap (4). 4.Portable oral hygiene device according to claim 3, characterized in that the fastening means (6) comprise adjustable flanges or other clamping elements.

Portable oral hygiene device according to claim 1, characterized in that the adapter (3) comprises a body (9) with an outlet (11) at one end, to which the conduit (2) is attached, while at the other end it comprises a freely rotating threaded coupling (8) configured for attachment to the water outlet thread of a tap (4).

Portable oral hygiene device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the body (9) comprises a rotating joint (10) that allows adjustable orientation of the outlet (11) of the body (9) with respect to the axis of the tap (4). 7.Portable oral hygiene device, according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the rotary joint (10) is arranged at a 45° angle, allowing the direction of the water flow to be changed.

8. Portable oral hygiene device, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the head (1) is interchangeable.

9. Portable oral hygiene device, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the head (1) comprises one or more nozzles (5).

10. Portable oral hygiene device, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the head (1) comprises brushing elements configured as brushes (7).
