Abstract

A counterweight with variable inertia and progressive automatic variation for vibrating machines, characterized in that it is constituted from a rotating shaft (1), to which a radial arm (2) is attached, acting as a guide element for an eccentric wheel (3) axially displaceable on said radial arm (2), an axial displacement opposed by return elements (6) such as springs, including means for regulating the maximum displacement, with the particularity that the radial arm (2) includes at least one radial groove (4) in which a wedge (8) moves, which includes an adjustment screw (9) also arranged radially, the wedge (8) being linked to a fluid power element, such as a gas or oil damper (7), which abuts the shaft (1), thus determining a means of damping in the return displacement of the eccentric wheel when its angular velocity decreases.
