Description

System for recording events associated with garments in stores with fitting rooms Field of invention This invention concerns a system for recording events associated with garments in stores with fitting rooms, which use wireless technologies to track the garment in the store by recording the events produced in each garment within the store and the fitting room area, thus obtaining the traceability of the garment. Prior art In the fashion industry, both patterns and trends, as well as the arrangement of garments in stores, are based on the predictions and knowledge of designers or retailers, without objective data beyond sales volume. Many garments attract shoppers, who then remove them from the shelf to examine them more closely before returning them. Others, after trying them on, are rejected by shoppers, and outfits are selected simultaneously, with a particular combination being preferred by a large number of buyers. Knowledge of this data depends on the salesperson's observational skills and is often overlooked or not reported. The fitting room area, in particular, provides a wealth of information about the approval or rejection of certain products, but for privacy reasons, it remains opaque to data collection. Currently, and as a reference to the state of the art, there are known systems that, through the use of wireless technologies, control the exit of a garment from the store by sounding an alarm; however, these systems do not transmit information about the movements or events of the garment detected inside the store. There are known systems that use the same wireless technology to register a garment at a point of sale (POS) terminal or cash register to obtain information about the garment's model and price and, in turn, control the garment's exit from the store by triggering an alarm. These systems are capable of recording the sale event, but they do not provide information about the garment's movements or other events inside the store or in the fitting rooms. Explanation of the invention and advantages In light of this situation, the present invention relates to a system for recording events associated with garments in retail stores with fitting rooms and display areas such as shelves or hangers, equipped with wireless technology. The stores have a data acquisition terminal, such as a reader or scanner, connected to a database to which it transmits data comprised of sales data and garment data. The wireless technology preferably consists of a passive RFID tag associated with each garment, containing garment data, and a plurality of RFID receivers communicating with the database, capable of transmitting garment data obtained from the passive RFID tag and detection data. At least one RFID receiver is associated with a display area and at least one RFID receiver is associated with a fitting room. Preferably, the data acquisition terminal is associated with a point of sale (POS) terminal or cash register to acquire the data of the garment for sale, and the point of sale (POS) terminal is connected to a database to which it transmits data composed of sales data. Thanks to this configuration, in addition to the sales events reported by the POS system, the database receives information from the RFID receivers associated with each display area, indicating the presence / absence of the garment in that area, and from the RFID receivers associated with each fitting room, indicating the presence / absence of the garment in that fitting room. This makes it possible to identify when a garment has left the display, for example, to examine it in detail, and when a garment enters a fitting room without compromising the shopper's privacy, thus revealing purchase attempts by the shopper. Furthermore, since the event recording system tracks all garments with an associated passive RFID tag, it is possible to detect groups of garments that are simultaneously introduced into the area of influence of an RFID receiver, such as that associated with a particular fitting room, automatically and anonymously, generating a consumer profile based on the garments that are tried on. The preferential use of RFID wireless technology allows the event recording system to be used without the need for cabling or an internal communication network, making it easy to apply to all types of businesses. Alternatively, an RFID receiver is associated with an independent data acquisition terminal, capable of transmitting garment data, obtained from the passive RFID tag associated with the garment introduced into its area of influence, detection data such as presence in the area and data entered from a pre-established data list. Thanks to the independent data acquisition terminal, it is possible to request data from the buyer in relation to a pre-established list, such as "I like it", "I am not convinced", "large size", "small size", etc., which are transmitted to the database anonymously, as the buyer is not identified at any time. The detection data transmitted by the RFID receivers includes time and location. The location is linked to the position of each RFID receiver or the zone to which it is attached. Thanks to this arrangement, it is possible to relate the presence of a garment in a specific area by detecting a change in the transmission of the RFID receiver associated with that area of presence (or detected) linked to a specific time. The database links the garment data contained in the associated passive RFID tag and transmitted to it along with other data such as sales data when a specific garment is sold, detection data indicating presence in each zone at a specific time, and transmitted data. The relationship of the data forms a historical map of the routes that a garment takes inside the store and allows to know objectively and anonymously the fitting room entries / exits, the time the garment spends on the shelves or in fitting rooms, the combinations of garments (garments present at the same time in the same area such as, for example, a specific fitting room) or sale of the garment. Furthermore, each RFID receiver can be paired with an activation system capable of activating other elements such as lights or sound systems and transmitting garment and detection data. In this way, the activation system can, for example, turn on the appropriate fitting room lights for each type of garment. Drawings and references To better understand the nature of the invention, the accompanying drawings depict an industrial embodiment which is merely an illustrative example and not an imitative one. Figure 1 shows a schematic image of the event recording system (1) comprising a fitting room (2) and two display areas (3), each associated with an RFID receiver (4b). A passive RFID tag (4a) is located in one of the display areas (3) and in the fitting room (2). In a preferred embodiment, the data acquisition terminal (5) is associated with a point-of-sale (POS) terminal, In a preferred embodiment, wireless technology (4) refers to RFID technology with an operating range of the RFID receivers (4b) in the range of 0.6 - 1.0 m and a passive RFID tag (4a) UHF (EPC Gen2) operating at an operating frequency of between 860 - 960 MHz and a transmission speed of 40 - 640 kbps with multiple read capability. In this invention, sales data (6a) refers to data relating to the sale of the garment and includes the date and time of the transaction and the economic data of the sale, garment data (6b) identifies the garment and includes brand, model, size and a code inherent to the garment, detection data (6c) includes the date and time and presence signal (in the absence of the presence signal it is interpreted as absence) and entered data (6d) refers to a list of pre-established data that can be associated with the garment. A retail store with fitting rooms (2) dedicated to the sale of clothing may have one or more display areas (3) where the garments are exhibited. These display areas (3) may consist of shelves, hangers, drawers, or any other element that allows the garments to be displayed and made available to customers. The store will have at least one fitting room (2) where customers can try on garments before deciding to purchase them. For privacy reasons, fitting rooms (2) are usually equipped with concealing elements such as doors or curtains. The store will have a point-of-sale (POS) terminal or cash register where sales are recorded. The event recording system (1) associated with garments preferably consists of a data acquisition terminal (5) associated with a point-of-sale (POS) terminal and connected to a database (5a) to which it transmits data (6). The database (5a) can be local or configured virtually (in the cloud). The database (5a) associated with the POS terminal transmits data (6) composed of sales data (6a) and garment data (6b), relating each garment to the date and time of the sale, as well as the financial data of the transaction. The wireless technology (4) consists of a passive RFID tag (4a) associated with each garment containing garment data (6b) inserted prior to the sale of the garment and a plurality of RFID receivers (4b) in communication with the database (5a) capable of transmitting garment data (6b) and detection data (6c). Preferably, at least one RFID receiver (4b) is associated with a display area (3), such as a shelf, and will communicate to the database (5a), for each garment contained on the shelf to which it is associated, the garment data (6b) and detection data (6c). That is, it transmits a list of passive RFID tags (4a) associated with garments (represented by the garment data (6b)) that it locates in its detection area (represented by detection data (6c)). In addition, at least one RFID receiver (4b) is associated with a fitting room (2) and will detect only the area encompassed by that fitting room (2). Similarly, the RFID receiver (4b) associated with a fitting room (2) transmits a list of passive RFID tags (4a) associated with garments (represented by garment data (6b)) that it locates in its detection area or fitting room to which it is associated (represented by detection data (6c)). Alternatively, at least one RFID receiver (4b) is associated with an independent data acquisition terminal (5), capable of transmitting data (6) composed of garment data (6b), detection data (6c) and entered data (6d). A particular embodiment of this invention comprises a separate data acquisition terminal (5) for inputting data preset by the purchasers, which, installed inside a housing, further contains an associated RFID receiver (4b) and several passive RFID tags (4a), each passive RFID tag (4a) being associated with a preset response (the preset response is pre-entered) and linked to a physical button. Each passive RFID tag (4a) associated with a preset response is shielded, so as to prevent the RFID receiver (4b) associated with the separate data acquisition terminal (5) from detecting the passive RFID tags (4a) associated with a preset response. The shielding of each passive RFID tag (4a) associated with a preset response can be temporarily released when the buyer presses the physical button linked to that tag. In this way, the RFID receiver (4b) can detect the temporarily released passive RFID tag (4a) associated with a preset response and transmit the entered data (6d) along with the data from one or more passive RFID tags (4a) associated with each detected garment. This particular embodiment does not require buyer identification, allowing the buyer to remain anonymous. The detection data (6c) transmitted to the database (5a) includes the time and location of the RFID receiver (4b) transmitting them. This allows for a chronological tracking of the garment's movement and enables the establishment of dwell times in specific locations. These dwell times provide valuable information for the subsequent analysis of the data (6) obtained from the event recording system (1). The database (5a) relates the garment data (6b) with the sales data (6a), the detection data (6c) and the entered data (6d) transmitted, creating a list of events that indicate the entry, exit and permanence of each garment in a specific area, sale and association with entered data, creating a historical map of routes that allows objective knowledge of the data relating to the garment. Alternatively, each RFID receiver (4b) can be associated with an activation system (7) and transmit garment data (6b) and detection data (6c). The activation system (7) activates the element to which it is connected upon receiving the detection data (6c), potentially turning on lights if connected to a lighting system or activating background music. Alternatively, the activation system (7) can dynamically assign activation based on the received garment data (6b). Example execution: An event recording system (1) for a 300 m² store with four fitting rooms (2) P1, P2, P3 and P4, display areas (3) consisting of a central hanger area Z1 and a return basket Z2 and a cash register R. It comprises an RFID receiver (4b) for each fitting room (2) (total four: one in P1, one in P2, one in P3 and one in P4), an RFID receiver (4b) for each display area (3) (total two: one in Z1 and one in Z2), a data acquisition terminal (5) associated with the cash register and an independent data acquisition terminal (5) P2E located in fitting room (2) P2 with the preset responses "like" and "not convinced" associated with shielded passive RFID tags (4a) and an associated RFID receiver (4b). Both the data acquisition terminals (5) and the RFID receivers (4b) are in communication with a database (5a) located in the back room. Each garment for sale is associated with a passive RFID tag (4a) that contains the garment data (6b). When a customer enters fitting room (2) P2 with three garments, a red t-shirt (code C01), a blue t-shirt (code C02) and a white t-shirt (code C03), the RFID receiver (4b) associated with fitting room (2) P2 detects the three passive RFID tags (4a) associated with the garments he has inserted and sends to the database (5a), for each garment, the garment data (6b) and the detection data (6c) consisting of: C01: - Red T-shirt, size M - Detection: P2; 11:48:32; 08 / 31 / 2022 CO2: - Blue T-shirt, size M - Detection: P2; 11:48:32; 08 / 31 / 2022 C03: - White T-shirt, size M - Detection: P2; 11:48:32; 08 / 31 / 2022 Subsequently, the customer presses the "not convinced" button on the independent data acquisition terminal (5), releasing the shielding of the passive RFID tag (4a) associated with this preset response. The RFID receiver (4b) associated with the independent data acquisition terminal (5) transmits the garment data (6b), detection data (6c), and entered data (6d), consisting of: C01: - Red T-shirt, size M - Detection: P2E; 11:56:15; 08 / 31 / 2022 "I'm not convinced" CO2: - Blue T-shirt, size M - Detection: P2E; 11:56:15; 08 / 31 / 2022 "I'm not convinced" C03: - White T-shirt, size M - Detection: P2E; 11:56:15; 08 / 31 / 2022 "I'm not convinced" When a customer leaves the fitting room (2) P2 with the three garments, the RFID receiver (4b) associated with the fitting room (2) P2 stops detecting the three passive RFID tags (4a) associated with the garments and sends to the database (5a), for each garment, the garment data (6b) and the detection data (6c) consisting of: C01: - Red T-shirt, size M - Absence: P2; 11:59:44; 08 / 31 / 2022 CO2: - Blue T-shirt, size M - Absence: P2; 11: 59:44; 08 / 31 / 2022 C03: - White T-shirt, size M - Absence: P2; 11: 59:44; 08 / 31 / 2022 The customer places the three garments in the return basket Z2. The RFID receiver (4b) associated with the return basket Z2 detects the three passive RFID tags (4a) associated with the garments that have been placed inside and sends to the database (5a), for each garment, the garment data (6b) and the detection data (6c) consisting of: C01: - Red T-shirt, size M - Detection: Z2; 12:05:40; 08 / 31 / 2022 CO2: - Blue T-shirt, size M - Detection: Z2; 12:05:40; 08 / 31 / 2022 C03: - White T-shirt, size M - Detection: Z2; 12:05:40; 08 / 31 / 2022 Regarding the example test, data can be obtained from: or Garments tried on without purchase. or Test combinations. or Average time spent in the fitting room. or Full cycle until return.
