Description

Fruit or other food container with ant barrier Object of the invention The invention, as stated in the present descriptive memorandum, refers to a source for fruit or other foods with an anti-ant barrier, providing advantages and characteristics, which are described in detail below. More specifically, the object of the invention focuses on a bowl or similar container, such as a fruit bowl, for placing fruit or other food on the table, which has the particularity of having a structural configuration that includes an anti-ant barrier, that is, configured to prevent ants, or other wingless insects, from accessing it by climbing on its surface, avoiding the nuisance and / or possible health risk that this entails, said barrier being formed by a support that includes a rim for putting water, which prevents the passage of ants or insects into the interior of the container. Field of application of the invention The field of application of the present invention is framed within the sector of the industry dedicated to the manufacture of kitchen utensils, focusing particularly on the field of containers for holding food. Background of the invention As is well known, especially in rural environments, but not only, it is easy for ants or other wingless insects, attracted by the smell, to get into the fruit bowl or other containers with food when they are left on a table. This, logically, besides being annoying, can pose a health and hygiene risk, since ants and other insects: - They can carry bacteria, fungi, or parasites from unsanitary surfaces; - They often travel through garbage, soil, and drains before accessing food. - they can leave biological residue on food, - They can cause direct damage to the food by piercing or damaging the fruit or food, accelerating its decomposition. - their presence usually means the arrival of more insects to the same spot and - They generate rejection and loss of confidence in food hygiene. The objective of the present invention is, therefore, to solve this problem by developing a food source that includes a barrier to prevent ants or other insects from accessing its interior by climbing its outer surface. This barrier is based on water, since, being completely harmless to humans, unlike insecticides or other means, it is totally effective against insects, preventing their advance towards the food for several reasons: - it prevents traction; ants' legs are not adapted to move on water. - causes them to drown; the insects cannot maintain their breathing or buoyancy in the water. - breaks down chemical trails, eliminates or dilutes the pheromones they use to orient themselves and mark paths. Furthermore, and with reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, at least as far as the applicant is concerned, there is no knowledge of any other source for fruit or other foods with an anti-ant barrier, nor any other invention of similar application, that presents technical, structural and constitutive characteristics equal or similar to those presented by the one claimed herein. Explanation of the invention The fruit or other food dispenser with an anti-ant barrier that the invention proposes is configured as an optimal solution to the aforementioned objective, with the characterizing details that make it possible and that distinguish it being conveniently included in the final claims that accompany this description. Specifically, what the invention proposes, as previously mentioned, is a bowl or similar container, such as a fruit bowl, which is intended to be used for placing fruit and / or other food on a table or any surface, distinguished by having a structural configuration that includes an anti-ant barrier, which is specially designed to prevent ants, or other wingless insects, from accessing the interior of the container by climbing its outer surface, thus avoiding the nuisance and / or potential health risk that this entails. For this purpose, the fountain, conventionally formed from a main body that defines an open upper compartment for placing fruit or food, and a lower support stand that keeps the body elevated at a certain height above the table or surface on which the fountain is placed, includes, at the base of the lower support stand, a receptacle that defines a perimeter enclosure around the support intended for water, which constitutes the barrier that prevents ants or insects from accessing the support and climbing the walls of the main body of the fountain to the interior of the compartment where the fruit or food is located. Preferably, the lower support stand is made up of a detachable piece from the upper main body, so that, by separating both parts of the fountain, it is easier to fill and empty the water, for example, for its periodic replacement, without having to empty the contents of fruit and / or food by having to turn the whole assembly over. In a preferred embodiment, the lower part of the upper main body, which is preferably bowl-shaped, i.e., approximately hemispherical, has a lower support ring that provides stability to the body when placed on the table without the lower support stand and, at the same time, acts as a stop by fitting onto a protrusion provided near the upper end of the support foot, which end, in turn, is preferably configured to fit into a recess of complementary configuration provided for this purpose in the lower part or bottom of the main body. By filling the receptacle at the base of the stand with water, even if the fountain is left with fruit or other food on a table, for example, in the garden or wherever, ants and other wingless insects will no longer be able to climb the walls of the stand to access the fruit or food. Description of the drawings To complement the description being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the device of the invention, this descriptive report is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by sheets of drawings, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1 shows a schematic perspective view of an example of the fruit or other food fountain with an anti-ant barrier, the subject of the invention, showing its general configuration and the main parts it comprises, having been represented with the support receptacle filled with water. And figures number 2 and 3.- Show two perspective views of the main body and the lower support, represented respectively in a separate and independent manner, showing the configuration and main parts of each element, in this case the support being represented without water inside its base. Preferred embodiment of the invention In view of the aforementioned figures, and in accordance with the numbering adopted, one can appreciate in them an example of a non-limiting embodiment of the fountain for fruit or other foods with an anti-ant barrier of the invention, which comprises what is indicated in detail below. Thus, as can be seen in said figures, the fountain (1) of the invention, being of those formed by a main body (2) above, which defines a housing (3) open at the top to place fruit and / or other food, and a support (4) below, which keeps the main body (2) raised at a certain height above the table or surface on which the fountain (1) is placed, is distinguished, essentially, in that said support (4) comprises a receptacle (5) which defines a perimeter fence to put water (a) and thus prevent the passage of ants or other wingless insects and that can access the interior of the housing (3) where the fruit or food is located by climbing the support (4). Preferably, the support (4) comprises a lower base (6), which may be circular or of any other plantar configuration, and a central foot (7) or pedestal on whose upper end (7.1) the main body (2) of the fountain (1) is incorporated, the receptacle (5) being integrated into said lower base (6) so that it defines a perimeter fence around the central foot (7). More specifically, the receptacle (5) of the lower base (6) is defined by a recess defined between an external partition (6.1) of the lower base (6) and a central plateau (6.2) from which the central foot (7) of the support (4) emerges. In any case, the lower support (4) is made up of a detachable piece from the upper main body (2) of the fountain, to facilitate filling and emptying the water from the receptacle (5) without needing to empty the contents of fruit and / or food that may be in the housing (3) of said main body (2). To this end, in a preferred embodiment, the main body (2) has a recess (8) at its lower part, of complementary configuration and suitable for snugly receiving the upper end (7.1) of the foot (7) of the support (4). Also, preferably, the main body (2) has a support ring (9) on its lower part which provides stability when used without the support (4) and, preferably, at the same time also acts as a stop on a protrusion (10) provided near the upper end (7.1) of the foot (7) of the support (4). Finally, it should be noted that the main body (2) of the fountain (1) can have any shape and be more or less deep, although, preferably, it has a bowl-shaped configuration, that is, approximately semi-spherical. Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to make its explanation more extensive so that any expert in the field may understand its scope and the advantages derived from it, it being noted that it may be put into practice in other embodiments that differ in detail from the one indicated as an example, provided that the fundamental aspects are not modified.
