Abstract

PUTTY FOR PREPARATION AND / OR REPAIR OF SURFACE OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The invention, as stated in the present descriptive report, refers to a putty for preparing and / or repairing surfaces, which provides, for the function for which it is intended, advantages and characteristics, which are described in detail below, which represent an improvement over the current state of the art. The object of the present invention is a putty, primarily intended for professional operators, but without ruling out its use by amateurs, which consists of an acrylic putty for the preparation and / or repair of walls, ceilings or other similar surfaces that are to be painted or coated, which is distinguished by incorporating a special pigment detectable with ultraviolet (UV) light, allowing the puttyed areas of the surface to be visible during the preparation and touch-up phase, avoiding the usual problems of invisibility of the putty once dry when applied on white backgrounds. FIELD OF APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION The field of application of the present invention falls within the sector of construction and decoration technology, specifically in relation to painting, coating and surface preparation work, focusing particularly on the field of manufacturing painter's putties, applicable to fill, level or correct imperfections before applying the final paint or coating on walls, ceilings or other surfaces. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION When a painter applies filler to white walls or ceilings, once it dries it blends in with the background and is very difficult to spot. This creates several problems: - Areas can be left unsanded or unfinished. - Time and quality are lost in the preparation. - The painter cannot easily demonstrate to the client how much additional work has been done. Even after applying two coats of white paint, small imperfections often appear that require filling and repainting. With conventional filler, these small repairs are almost imperceptible after drying and difficult to locate for repainting. The objective of the present invention is to avoid this problem by providing the market with a type of putty that allows easy identification of the work done, through the inclusion in it of a UV fluorescent marker that allows detection of all repaired areas when illuminated with a UV light lamp. Furthermore, and with reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, although some types of paints or construction materials are known that include particles detectable under UV light in their composition, at least by the applicant, the existence of any putty, or any other invention of similar application for the preparation of surfaces to be painted or coated in the field of construction and decoration, that presents technical, structural and constitutive characteristics equal or similar to those of the one claimed herein, is unknown. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The putty for surface preparation and / or repair proposed by the invention is configured as an optimal solution to achieve the objectives indicated above, with the characterizing details that make it possible and that distinguish it being conveniently included in the final claims that accompany this description. Specifically, what the invention proposes, as previously mentioned, is a putty that, primarily aimed at professional painters and operators, but without ruling out its use by all types of private users or hobbyists, being of the type that is applied for the preparation or repair of walls, ceilings or other similar surfaces that are to be painted or coated, both indoors and outdoors, is distinguished by incorporating a special pigment detectable with ultraviolet (UV) light, allowing the puttyed areas of the surface to be visible during the preparation, repair and touch-up phase, avoiding the usual problems of invisibility of the putty once dry when applied on white backgrounds. For this purpose, and more specifically the putty that is the subject of the invention, is an acrylic preparation putty that incorporates fluorescent / reflective pigment under UV light. More specifically, the composition of the putty preferably comprises: a base with conventional mineral fillers (calcium carbonate, talc, modified gypsum, etc.) and the inclusion of fluorescent / UV pigments in a variable proportion from approximately 0.1% to 25% or more of the total weight of the putty, adjusted according to: - Type of putty (powder, ready-to-use paste, manual, mechanized). - Desired reflectance intensity (interior or exterior). Furthermore, the putty of the invention can be formulated in both water-based systems (ecological and easy to apply) and formaldehyde-based systems, always within European regulations for safe emissions. Likewise, the putty can be manufactured in different forms, such as powder to be mixed with water on site or as a paste, ready for use, being suitable for both manual application (spatula, trowel) and mechanized application (projection or pumping machines). Furthermore, the fluorescent / UV pigments incorporated into the putty in each container can be of varying colors when illuminated with a UV light lamp, advantageously allowing each putty with a different pigment color to be designated for different uses and establishing a color code, for example with red pigment for repairs due to dampness or leaks, with green pigment for repairs due to structural cracks or movements, with blue pigment for aesthetic or surface repairs, as well as allowing the use of a putty with a pigment of one color or another by different groups or work crews on the same project, in order to distinguish the one that each of them has carried out. Other colors could be developed for specific applications depending on the sector (rehabilitation, new construction, maintenance). Finally, it should be mentioned that, although the filler is preferably intended for independent sale, it can optionally be sold together with an ultraviolet light, for example in a kit, so that the user already has UV light to verify the correct application of the filler. For example, and without this being a limitation, the aforementioned light can be integrated into a tool, such as the one disclosed in document PCT / ES2024 / 070604 of the same applicant, which has a housing for a sanding block, allowing the light to be used while working to check the correct application of the filler on a white surface. With all this, the advantages and differentiating characteristics of the invention are numerous. - Applied to plaster walls and ceilings, drywall (plasterboard) and similar surfaces, it allows for the precise detection of the putty applied in the repair by exposing it to ultraviolet light using a UV flashlight. - Detection is immediate, making it easy to identify all repaired areas and preventing imperfections from being left unsanded or untouched. - The effect is detectable under UV light, regardless of drying times, shrinkage, or other chemical factors. - The system is temporary, since after the first layer of paint the fluorescence disappears, which allows traceability of work up to that point. - The putty is also whiter in color, preventing yellowing and making repainting easier. - Significant reduction in construction time and costs. - Elimination of visual reviews with work lights. - Identification of work performed (time window): - It allows you to differentiate which areas have been filled before the first coat of paint. - After repainting, the system is removed, ensuring control only during the initial preparation. - It facilitates documenting completed work, auditing operators, and invoicing with objective documentation. - White putty in application: Under normal lighting conditions, the putty maintains its original white color. It does not interfere with the aesthetics or the client's perception during the work. - Instant UV detection: When illuminated with a UV flashlight, the filled areas glow brightly in the programmed color. This allows for the immediate identification of imperfections, pending touch-ups, or poorly sanded areas. - Quality control: Enables managers, technicians, and developers to verify the work before painting. Guarantees a flawless finish. - It allows the application of differentiated layers of filler, using fillers with UV pigments of different colors: Each layer can have a filler with a different UV color to indicate the application stage (for example: first coat in green, second in red). This reduces errors and ensures the correct execution of the processes. - Identification by teams or companies: Different teams can work with UV pigment sealants of different colors. Under the flashlight, it is possible to identify who performed each intervention, providing traceability. - Time and cost savings: The applicator instantly locates where sanding or refinishing is needed, eliminating the need for additional lighting or wasting time on complex visual inspections. This reduces the need for subsequent touch-ups and speeds up construction timelines. - Disappearance after repainting: Once the finishing paint is applied, the pigment is completely covered. The reflective effect disappears, and the surface appears clean, homogeneous, and without any traces. - Traceability and expert assessment: Before repainting, it is possible to document the work carried out under UV light. This adds value for insurance, audits, restorations, and maintenance, demonstrating interventions performed without altering the final finish. - If a color code is used, it allows: - Immediate identification: the applicator or technician instantly recognizes the type of repair performed. - Visual history on the wall / ceiling itself: it does not depend on external records, the putty leaves its mark. - Prevention and control: recurring areas (repeated dampness, persistent cracks) are detected quickly. - Value for insurance companies, architects and maintenance companies: provides objective evidence of previous repairs and facilitates diagnoses. In short, UV fluorescent pigment filler is a quality control tool that transforms the surface preparation and repair process, ensuring faster, more precise, and verifiable work without altering the final finish. Furthermore, it provides a physical and visual traceability system without requiring additional technology, improving upon the performance of any conventional filler. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, this descriptive document is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by sheets of drawings in which the following has been represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes: Figure 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a surface on which the putty of the invention has been applied and how it can be seen by applying UV light with a flashlight thanks to its fluorescent pigmentation; and Figure 2 shows a schematic representation, on an exaggerated scale, of the basic composition of the putty, showing the mineral base and the fluorescent / UV pigments it comprises PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of Figure 1 and the only one, an example of the use of the putty (1) applied on a white surface (2), in this case the ceiling of a room, can be seen, in order to prepare it for painting and whose application can be clearly observed when ultraviolet light is applied, for example by means of a flashlight (3), on it. For this purpose, the putty (1) that is the subject of the invention is distinguished by having a composition that comprises: - a base (1.1) with mineral fillers, selected from calcium carbonate, talc, modified gypsum, or others such as dolomite, silicates, or combinations thereof or mixtures thereof, and which are conventionally used, and - a quantity of fluorescent / UV pigments (1.2) mixed into said base in a percentage of at least 0.1% of the total weight of the putty, such that, once the putty (1) is applied to a surface (2), even if it is white, when illuminated with UV light, for example by means of a flashlight (3), said pigments are reflective and become visible to the naked eye, allowing it to be clearly seen where and how the putty (1) has been applied to said surface (2). In addition, the composition may also include other binders and / or additives of different types, depending on whether the composition of the putty (1) is water-based or formaldehyde-based. In one embodiment of the invention, the putty composition can be formulated in epoxy, vinyl, acrylic-styrenic, acrylic-siloxane, solvent-based or hybrid systems, adapting to different types of substrates, environmental conditions or technical requirements. Optionally, the composition of the putty may include specific additives to improve mechanical properties, adhesion, flexibility, water resistance, weather resistance or behavior on mineral, metallic, ceramic or synthetic substrates. In any case, preferably, the percentage of pigments (1.2) included in the composition of the putty (1) is between 0.1% and 25% of the total weight of the putty depending on the needs of each case. The putty can be in powder form, intended to be mixed with water at the time of use, or it can be in paste form, ready to use. being suitable both for manual application, using a spatula or trowel, and for mechanized application with projection or pumping machines. In any case, preferably, the fluorescent / UV pigments (1.2) incorporated into the composition of the putty (1) can be of variable color between one unit or container of putty (1) and another, allowing one to be distinguished from the other and to know which one has been used when illuminated with the lamp (3). For example, the putty (1) may include in its composition fluorescent / UV pigments (1.2) of red, or green, or blue color, without ruling out other colors. In one embodiment of the invention, the detection of fluorescent / UV pigments is carried out by means of an ultraviolet light source integrated into an application tool, including the anchor-type tool for sanding block, spatula, trowel or extendable device. In another embodiment of the invention, the ultraviolet light source can be arranged in the form of a lamp, spotlight, or independent portable lighting system that allows the applied putty to be detected even without the need to use the tool during inspection. In another embodiment of the invention, the ultraviolet light source can illuminate large surface areas simultaneously, facilitating the overall detection of filled areas without the need for point-by-point inspection. Optionally, the putty (1) is sold packaged and arranged in a kit format along with a UV light lamp (3) that allows the pigments (1.2) to be seen. Optionally, the lamp (3) is integrated into a tool used to prepare the surface (2) and apply the putty (1). Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to make its explanation more extensive so that any expert in the field can understand its scope and the advantages that derive from it.

Claims

1. Putty for preparing and / or repairing surfaces, intended for use by professional painters and operators, as well as private users or amateurs, for preparing and / or repairing walls, ceilings or other similar surfaces to be painted or coated, both indoors and outdoors, is characterized by having a composition that, among other binders and / or additives, comprises: - a base (1.1) with conventional mineral fillers, selected from calcium carbonate, talc, modified gypsum, dolomite, silicates, or a combination thereof or mixtures thereof, and - a quantity of pigments (1.2) fluorescent / UV pigments mixed into the base in a percentage of at least 0.1% of the total weight of the putty, such that, once the putty (1) is applied to a surface (2), even if white, when illuminated with UV light, said pigments become visible to the naked eye, clearly showing where and how the putty (1) has been applied to said surface (2).

Putty, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the composition can include specific additives to improve mechanical properties, adhesion, flexibility, water resistance, weather resistance, or performance on mineral, metallic, ceramic, or synthetic substrates. 11.Putty, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the detection of the fluorescent / UV pigments is carried out by means of an ultraviolet light source integrated into an application tool, including an anchor-type tool for a sanding block, spatula, trowel, or extendable device.

12. Putty, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the ultraviolet light source can be arranged in the form of a lamp, spotlight, or independent portable lighting system that allows the applied putty to be detected even without the need to use the tool during inspection.
