Abstract

Description

Soundproofing system for pickleball courts TECHNICAL SECTOR The present invention relates to a soundproofing system, specially designed to be installed in pickleball courts. The object of the invention is to provide an enclosure that allows a significant reduction in the noise generated on pickleball courts during the practice of this sport. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Pickleball is a paddle or racket sport that combines elements of padel tennis, badminton and table tennis, in which two or four players hit a ball over a net, seeking to score points and win sets. This is done using solid wooden paddles or lightweight materials such as composite, and a solid, hollow plastic ball with holes. Pickleball courts have a closed perimeter, usually made up of vertical posts on which mesh netting is placed, which, although it prevents the pickleballs from leaving, has zero soundproofing capacity, it is known that the impact of the ball on the paddle, on the court, or the shouts of the people who play, generate noise that can be annoying to people who are in the vicinity, especially when it is a court next to which there are houses. Although numerous types of soundproofing panels are known, it has been experimentally verified that their degree of acoustic insulation is lower than the system proposed below. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The soundproofing system for pickleball courts proposed by the invention significantly improves the degree of acoustic insulation in the environment of the pickleball court compared to other existing soundproofing systems. To this end, and more specifically, the system of the invention consists of a series of soundproofing screens or panels, which are made from a multilayer panel comprising two profiled galvanized steel sheets, one with a perforated matrix and the other smooth. A rock wool core is placed between these two steel sheets and is insulated from the perforated sheet by a black veil. The assembly, as described, is closed at its ends by polypropylene plastic caps. These panels will have an elongated rectangular configuration and vertical tongue and groove joints, so that they are easily handled and stacked together. According to one of the essential characteristics of the invention, the panels are linked to a metal structure based on vertical struts between which a metal grid is established, so that said panels will preferentially affect the upper and lower area of ​​the enclosure, leaving an intermediate area that is only affected by the metal grid, which allows viewing the interior of the track, to see if it is occupied, with the upper and lower panels offering a more than sufficient level of soundproofing. These panels are attached to the vertical struts using "U" profiles closed at their lower end and open at the top, which are screwed to the metal structure. From this structure on the "U" profiles, the panels can be manually inserted one by one from the top. These panels, due to their tongue and groove configuration, only need to be slid along these guides until they reach their final position, without the need for any tools or additional fixing means, remaining perfectly stabilized with each other. More specifically, and from a soundproofing point of view, the inner face that constitutes the perforated sheet of the panels will define the sound-absorbing face of the barrier, while the opposite layer will have a reflective effect. This results in a soundproofing system for pickleball courts that offers a significantly higher degree of soundproofing in its vicinity than the systems used to date. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description that follows and to aid in a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of said description, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1 shows a plan view of a pickleball court in which a soundproofing system is installed, made in accordance with the object of the present invention. Figure 2 shows a perspective detail of one of the structures planned for the soundproofing system of the invention. Figure 3 shows a perspective detail of the structure of the soundproofing panels that participate in the system of the invention. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of the figures described, it can be observed how the system of the invention is applicable to pickleball courts (1), which have plan dimensions of 6.1 meters by 13.41 meters, the invention being intended to form a perimeter enclosure located 1.83 meters from the sides, as well as 3.09 meters from the ends of the court. Well, said enclosure, and according to figure 3, is made up of a plurality of vertical struts (2), provided at their lower end with a base (3) for screwing to the ground, between which there is a metal grid (4), struts in which in their upper and lower areas are installed opposing "U" profiles (5), open at the top and closed at the bottom, which act as a guide for the sliding insertion of a series of soundproofing panels (6), those shown in detail in figure 3. These soundproofing panels (6) will be made from a multi-layered panel with an elongated rectangular configuration, comprising an outer profiled galvanized steel sheet (7) and an inner profiled galvanized steel sheet (8) with multiple perforations. Between these two steel sheets is a rock wool core (9) that is insulated from the perforated sheet by a black veil. The assembly is closed at its lateral ends with polypropylene plastic caps, while the upper (10) and lower (11) edges of the panel have a complementary tongue-and-groove configuration to facilitate vertical stacking. Thus, and returning to figure 2, the opposing "U" profiles (5) are intended to receive a pair of soundproofing panels (6) in the upper area of ​​the enclosure, and a pair of soundproofing panels (6) in the lower area of ​​the enclosure, leaving an intermediate or central space affected exclusively by the metal grid (4) that allows viewing the interior of the court, for example by public interested in the game. This results in a highly effective soundproofing system for pickleball courts.

A soundproofing system for pickleball courts, intended for installation on pickleball courts with dimensions of 6.1 meters by 13.41 meters, characterized by a perimeter enclosure located at least 1.83 meters from the sides and at least 3.09 meters from the ends of the court. This enclosure comprises a plurality of vertical struts (2), each with a base (3) for bolting to the ground at its lower end, between which a metal grid (4) is located. These struts have opposing "U" profiles (5) installed in their upper and lower sections, open at the top and closed internally, which act as guides for the sliding insertion of a series of soundproofing panels (6). These panels are made from a multi-layer panel with an elongated rectangular configuration, comprising an external profiled galvanized steel sheet (7).and an internal profiled sheet (8) of galvanized steel with a plurality of perforations, a rock wool core (9) being established between the two steel sheets, which is insulated from the perforated sheet by a sheet of black veil.

2. Soundproofing system for pickleball courts, according to claim 1, characterized in that the soundproofing panels (6) are closed at their lateral ends by means of polypropylene plastic caps.

3. Soundproofing system for pickleball courts, according to claim 1, characterized in that the soundproofing panels (6) include vertical tongue-and-groove coupling means with other panels of the same type.
