Abstract

A food handling clamp operable with one hand, comprising a clamp base body (1), a clamp handle (5), a front gripping system formed by a front blade (8) and an upper gripping blade (9), a trigger (12), a transmission mechanism between the trigger (12) and said front gripping system, and an elastic return element, characterized in that said transmission mechanism comprises a cam 1 (2) linked to the front blade (8), a cam 2 (3) linked to the trigger (12), and a movable transmission element (6) articulated to both cams (2, 3), a blade opening spring (7) being arranged between the movable transmission element (6) and a fixed spring support element (4) associated with the clamp base body (1), such that the actuation of the trigger (12) causes the approximation between the front blade (8) and the upper gripping blade (9), and the release of the trigger (12) causes the automatic reopening of the clamp.
