Abstract

A device for extinguishing fires in electric vehicle batteries, characterized in that it comprises a main discharge element (1) with a sealed housing made of flame-retardant polymer or metal, the main discharge element (1) including a universal connection element (2) through which the extinguishing agent, such as liquids, gases, foam, powder, or water mist, is supplied. The lateral and upper surfaces of the device housing include a plurality of holes (3) with different angles between 15° and 45° with respect to the vertical and horizontal axes of the device, and a truncated conical configuration, which can be selectively blocked by means of plugs (4), allowing modification of the discharge pattern of the extinguishing agent.
