Abstract

Underwater acoustic projector. An acoustic projector for operating at moderate depths of up to 3 m without requiring post-compensation and efficiently reproducing signals below 100 Hz, consisting of a hermetically sealed enclosure comprising at least one loudspeaker, the loudspeaker being based on a magnetic motor with a permanent magnet, a moving coil and a cylindrical coil support; a diaphragm that radiates sound in the water, attached to a flat rubber suspension that is attached to the enclosure lid by a support; an exciter cylinder attached at one end to the coil support and at the other end to the diaphragm; and the coil support being in contact with a membrane, which is held in place by suspensions.
