Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle hybridization process incorporating a system comprising a combustion engine (2), with a brake pedal (3) and an accelerator pedal (4), an alternator (13) connected to the combustion engine (2), and an original battery (12) connected to the alternator (13), and comprising the steps of: installing a controller (8) in the system; installing a sensor (5) on the brake pedal (3) and another sensor (5) on the accelerator pedal (4); installing an alternator / motor (7) in the system; installing at least one additional battery (9) in the system; connecting the sensors (5) to the controller (8); connecting the alternator / motor to the controller (8) and connecting the additional battery (9) to the controller; the alternator / motor being configured to operate as an electric motor to assist the combustion engine, or to replace it in the fully electric operation of the vehicle.
