Vectors and viral genomes encoding TERT

Abstract

This document describes recombinant viral genomes comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding a telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) functionally linked to a tissue and / or organ-specific promoter. The aspects described herein may be used in the treatment of conditions associated with telomere shortening, such as pulmonary fibrosis, myocardial infarction, and related conditions.
