Optoelectronic device and method for providing visual orientation

Abstract

An optoelectronic device (100) is described. This device comprises at least one sensor (106) configured to obtain head orientation data, including information about the user's head orientation; a processing unit (112) configured to process said head orientation data in order to obtain self-motion data, including information about the user's movement, and to provide at least one visual signal (114) based on the obtained self-motion data; and a display device (120) configured to display the visual signal (114) on a screen (102) located at least in the periphery of the user's visual field. A method for providing visual orientation is also described.
